People would mock her if she was asking hundreds of dollars for seats, and people mock her when she asks $20. She can never win with some people. Yes, the seats are not selling and they lowered the prices. So? Better for fans who maybe don't want to pay those hundreds.

Anyway, i'm still not that excited for the remix albums, but I am excited for the 4 new songs that come along with it! :xmas_biggrin:

I'm pissed there is no new promotion. I was looking forward to more performances of H.A.T.E.U......I hope Angel's Cry still has the ending belt in it with the remix, and I hope it is performed (LIVE).

Her team is not doing this for the fans, but because they are DESPERATE to bring more crowd because they know that she can't even have a half-full stadium.

That's exactly what I said, the seats are not selling so they lowered the prices. I only said it's better for fans.

Okay, so I think the performance on Lopez (It's A Wrap) was lipped/dubbed because it was just too good.

Here's the performance of It's A Wrap. It's pretty good. The fans that were there said that she sang it 100% live but they dubbed only the last part with the album version.

People have better plans for New Year's than to see her in her tacky glory. She needs to bring back the class and the maturity that once defined her as a diva.

So it was LIVE but dubbed for TV...or all live except the end?

Mariah’s new, as yet-untitled Remix album is set for release on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

We have previously confirmed collaborations with Ne-Yo (”Angels Cry” Remix) and Nicki Minaj (”Up Out My Face” Remix), and now, we can also reveal that other artists such as Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, R. Kelly, K-Ci & JoJo, Big Boi, Trey Songz and Fabolous will all be featured in the new Remix album.

We are told by label insiders that this album will be treated like a brand new project including promotional appearances. Mariah is scheduled to film her appearance on VH1 Storytellers in early January and the album’s title and final track listing are expected to be announced next week.

That's actually one of the best performances of the era, she sounds really good.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Mariah's live performance of "It's a wrap".

I can't stop watching it! It suddenly is one of my favorite songs on the album!

Love the ending. It's way better than the album version! :clapping:

YES. only the "what i feel inside for you" line was live.

OMG.....people joke about Celine lipping her speeches because they're so rehearsed and identical from one night to another....but wow...Mariah actually lips hers. LOL

The whole TAOM dvd was a joke. Wastage of money for the fans -_-

I watched it a few times recently, lol...my mom walked in during Dreamlover when she started to do the dance with the camera zooming in and she thought I was watching a porno, lol.

But I definitely think it's sad that this DVD is the only FULL LENGTH concert release we have...thank the lord for those concert specials in Tokyo! Although I'm still confused about the 1998 concert as I've seen three different set lists for that and am unsure on what to download, lol! But I downloaded all of 1996 and watched it while wrapping presents last night.....I just need to figure out how to burn these onto a DVD. :)

I am afraid that the whole lipsynching thing has been affecting the music system for decades. But the stars were lucky, because there was no youtube back then :P

Yes, but I think it was less common....try to find a lipped performance of stars who became huge in the 60's-80's......Aretha, Whitney, Tina....all of which still sing live even today.

I know, but Whitney and Aretha get a lot of negatism for always singing live.

So that doesn't help.

I think it's ridiculous for anyone to get criticism for always singing live. I mean, Aretha has absolutely no voice anymore and all she does is shriek now, but she is singing 100% live so she deserves some credit. Same with Whitney, who still sounds good and puts her all into every performance.

I totally agree with you. Too bad a lot of fans rather see someone lypsinc than sing live, when the voice has a bad day.

It was all about vocal ability before Madgers arrived and spread the message. :bye1:

That's not true. They don't get criticized for singing live, they get criticized for singing (live) badly.
