By the way the remix of ''I'll Be Lovin U Long Time'' feat. T.I leaked yesterday and it's not good. I mean nothing different from the album version. No re-sung vocals just some talking over the song and a T.I verse on it. It doesn't deserve its own video.

I think we are focusing too much on commercial stuff. Yes of course I want her to be as succesful as possible but music is the most important... since she did one of her Top 3 albums (musically) (after Butterfly and Mariah Carey and this is not only my opinion but like 80% of the fans) than she did her work good. For me what matters the most is if I like it or not. As long as I like it I'm happy. And now since she doesn't care about her album anymore why should fans support it?

I'm grateful for the great music we got and that's it. Great album, awful era. NEXT!

funny how the sales of albums decrease every 6 months. i don't think it will outsell TC worldwide. even if they re-release E=MC2, with the re-release of TC, their sales will never ever meet. just my 2 cents.

Yes because you are not a fan. This album is for the general public that are not hardcore fans and that is why it was her most succesful but for many fans Music Box is borrriiiiiiiiing. For me as well. Ballads, ballads and ballads. I love ballads but it's too much on Music Box. I hardly listen to it. Her best albums for me are:

 

Butterfly

Mariah Carey - debut

Daydream

E=MC2

Charmbracelet I became a fan then that is the reason.

If this is true, then that means the label pulled back ''Bye Bye'' as a single like Columbia did with ''Sweetheart''. I guess Bye Bye isn't an official single, now. Clearly they pulled it back because it's a flop. And since it won't do any better I think this is a wise decision. It looks like they completely want to concentrate on the 3d single.

i don't think so. Bye Bye is of course the "official" second single off E=MC2. it has the cd single out and a proper video, which are the 2 main ingredients of an official single. the only reason i see whay they are doing this is because it didn't fared well in the charts and the chance of this song being her 19th #1 is very impossible. if Mariah has stopped the radio stations from playing Bye Bye, it is basically because they will promote IBLULT full-time. this is a make or break for her. her album is tanking so fast around the world and they badly need a strong 3rd single to at least boost its sales. not to offend anyone, but the album is flopping big time outside America, so they should do something now. mariah and her album is in a crucial game now.

No I dont think so, they didnt ask to stop anything it is having the airplay they want to give to it! the wedding thing with this 2nd single was a strategy but it didnt work and in my opinion, I think they paid too much to promote TEOM and no let her flop twice and now they dont have so much money to do that again. Normal promotion doesn't mean any promotion for almost 2 months now (except for Japan). ''Touch My Body'' was #1 only in 3 contries (USA,Brazil and Bulgaria) and it was only 2 weeks but it had great airplay so it helped... but helped for her first 2 weeks after the release and then comes ''Bye Bye'' which as we know didn't help.

She has always had heavy promotions it's not only TEOM. CB promotion was even bigger, not to talk about Glitter and Rainbow's promotions which were ridiculous.

And I don't think the problem with no promoting is about money. It's her own fault. Don't forget that they cancelled a lot of things like TRL, BET 106&Park, The View etc.

And ok, let's say it's wedding's fault for not promoting but what is she doing now? After the Japan promotion... nothing. She filmed the video for IBLYLT and what is she doing now ?

And for TEOM she had a single that was the biggest song on the radio in America ever and a single that was number one for 14 weeks. Of course she'll sell a lot with that.

I think gone are the days when any singer on this planet they call earth could have more than one BIG single to boost his/her album sales. Mimi had TMB and that was it; Madge had "4 Minutes" and that was it. Even Alicia Keys w/ the cunning Clive Davis on her side only had "No One'. Lovin U' may or may not turn out to be a hit, but the effect on the album will be nothing major, I think. TMB was huge at the time of the release of E=MC2 and yet the album dropped quickly. More promotion might help but, again, the impact will be nothing major. Mimi appeared on Oprah and multiple episodes of American Idol in the midst of a promo campaign that Lil Wayne, Coldplay and Carrie Underwood (all of whom out-debuted Mimi) didn't have.

 

By the way, Madonna sold 113k this week which means TCH is now AHEAD in week-after-week sales! And yes, unlike Mimi and Madge, Celine is yet to come up with a single to support her album sales. Who knows?
