Frida Posted September 8, 2009 at 08:19 PM Posted September 8, 2009 at 08:19 PM is it expensive to stay in vegas (in a nice hotel) for a week anyone know? We paid a bit over $1600 for 4 nights in a Caesar's Palace Augustus Tower Deluxe room. There are more expensive ones (Bellagio for example, but also far far less.. I think some rates have gone down now due to the economy) http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
LooneyLindz Posted September 8, 2009 at 11:27 PM Posted September 8, 2009 at 11:27 PM The Flamingo is very nice if you're on a budget, like others have said. You can walk across the overpass (the bridge that goes over the street) and be at Caesar's in three minutes. I've stayed at the Monte Carlo, The Golden Nugget and the Flamingo, all while in Vegas to see Céline, and I will probably stay at the Flamingo or Caesar's when she returns to Vegas, depending on my bank account. The Flamingo is VERY convenient--especially because I stayed there for the last show and it was chilly so I didn't have far to walk.

Davey84 Posted September 9, 2009 at 09:45 AM Posted September 9, 2009 at 09:45 AM I stayed at the stratosphere and I really liked that hotel. It's big but not too flashy... but the only downside was that you had to walk like 20 minutes to get on the 'action side' of the strip. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Bralo20 Posted September 9, 2009 at 01:59 PM Posted September 9, 2009 at 01:59 PM is it expensive to stay in vegas (in a nice hotel) for a week anyone know? i only stayed there on holiday for 3 nights b4 and we stayed in venetian (and this was quite dear!), i know i am jumping the gun, but i want to think realisticly also about whether i can afford this when the time might come! my plane ticket is going to be very expensive also. this is all just me wondering about expenses IF she does go back to Vegas! You have hotels for every price range in Vegas. I stayed a couple of years ago in Treasure Island for about 85 USD a night in a nice stripview room... Last June I stayed for 4 nights in a suite in THEhotel, part of Mandalay Bay and paid about 190 USD a night. In december I'll be going back to THEhotel (for 5 nights this time) and then I'll be paying less then 100 USD for an even bigger suite (special casino rate for players). But you can easily stay for about 10 to 25 USD a night, maybe not at a big casino but certainly a decent place. ...

Bralo20 Posted September 10, 2009 at 02:49 PM Posted September 10, 2009 at 02:49 PM How many of you people go to multiple shows when you go to Vegas? Probably 2 at most... Maybe even only one. Better to come back another day (even if this means flying again for about 11.000 miles ). I love to see a show but not multiple times after eachother... There has to be some time in between, otherwise it becomes boring as hell. Since I'm becoming a regular Vegas visitor (once or twice each year) I'll probably attent one of the first shows and then visit it again later that year of even maybe the year after. ...
Celinenvegas Posted September 12, 2009 at 01:42 AM Posted September 12, 2009 at 01:42 AM How many of you people go to multiple shows when you go to Vegas? Each time I went I attended two shows except in Dec 2007, I went to the final 4. It was awesome!! I don't always get front ORCH though, I may get one show there and one in 1st MEZZ to save money. You get great views of the whole stage from 1st MEZZ. I've been to Vegas many times and stayed at all diff hotels. The Flamingo is a fav of mine because of location & great pool and they recently rennovated many of their rooms so I'd go for one of those. The Mirage next to Caesars is nice too and so is Treasure Island - they are cheaper than Ceasars. Ballys is pretty good too in price and good location across from Ceasars. If you want cheaper than Flamingo then go for the Tropicana. It's an older hotel but still decent for the price. If you want real nice then go for the new tower in Ceasars, The Venetian (all suites) or Bellagio. ~J O E Y~
nuts2you Posted September 12, 2009 at 11:46 PM Posted September 12, 2009 at 11:46 PM I have a question to ask u,? How much would it cost to stay 4 or 5 days,,(show, site seeing, food,Hotel) second, when I come out there I was wondering if you or Ire could give us a tour for the one"s THAT have NEVER BEEN THERE before. would u recoment renting a car. I also mention in a early post about renting the PURE out just for US celine fans only for a drink or just chat with most of us, maybe get celine and some of her dancers as well. What are your thoughts.
Bralo20 Posted September 15, 2009 at 08:30 AM Posted September 15, 2009 at 08:30 AM How much would it cost to stay 4 or 5 days,,(show, site seeing, food,Hotel) It's hard to answer that... It's for every person different... My last trip in June (4 nights) did cost me about 4.500 USD. This includes: 4 nights in a suite (THEhotel), flight from and to Brussels, Belgium in business class, taxi fares, food & beverages, tips, gambling loss (485 USD) and gifts, etc... My next trip in december will also have a similar budget but for 5 nights (cheaper then last time due the fact I got casino rates through VIP services). But it can be waaaay more expensive or it can also be waaaay more cheaper... Let's count a bit... Hotel: a decent average hotel: 5 nights @ 80 USD a night: 400 USDFood: Let's say about 400 USD also (a decent dinner and some buffets, some fastfood)Beverages: About 200 USDShows: 2 shows @ 100 USD = 200 USDTips: 150 USDRental car: 250 USD This gives: 1.600 USD excluding flights, excluding gambling But if you go to buffets every time, get some of the famous Las Vegas coupons, maybe eat some additional fast food, drink only some cola or soda, be a cheap tipper, if you don't rent a car, if you stay at a low end hotel I'll think you can be fine with about 1.000 USD. ...
nuts2you Posted September 15, 2009 at 03:33 PM Posted September 15, 2009 at 03:33 PM Ok, thks for answering my ???, How about sight seeing and things like that,,, I most likey will be staying in a suite, most likey sharing with some ppl. I do like the THE Hotel. As for coupons good idea may have to look in that,, BTW what about renting out the PURE for us fans after the show for a drink or so. I also like some of the Hotels that u mention as well. 2nd, Do u think she will add another show to accommodate us fans that that will be traveling from around the world and to see her,, I hope there will be around 4,0000 of us fans, 3nd will you take some of fans for a sight seeing trip.I have Never been there before,
Bralo20 Posted September 15, 2009 at 07:15 PM Posted September 15, 2009 at 07:15 PM (edited) Ok, thks for answering my ???, How about sight seeing and things like that,,, I most likey will be staying in a suite, most likey sharing with some ppl. I do like the THE Hotel. Next december I'll be renting a SUV in Las Vegas and this time I'll be spending some time siteseeing. You can easily drive to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Death Valley and even Los Angeles to name some. On my schedule I've written Los Angeles, The Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. I'll going to try to visit some exibithions like the Titanic and the CSI exibithions currently on display in Las Vegas (hopefully still in december also). For the rest you'll have to walk through some casino's, maybe even visit a genuine "Gentleman's Club" and some nightclubs. There is so much to see and to do in Vegas that you actually don't need a car but when you've seen Vegas before it's nice to have a car for visiting other stuff I've stayed in THEhotel last June and I'll go back in a couple of months. THEhotel is a lovely, classy hotel with very nice suites. It's actually a regular hotel without a casino but it shares the amenities from Mandalay so you'll have a casino and plenty of restaurant. If you intend to stay in a suite be sure that you book a suite that has extra beds or a sofa that can be changed into a bed. Regular suites will only have 1 bedroom. You'll need to book a 2 (or more) bedroom suite. If you have the money and you'll like to stay in style but in a very decent place I can actually recommend the MGM Skylofts... Pretty expensive (from 800 USD a night for a one bedroom suite) but oh so lovely... I'll hope to stay there one day (but first save some bit, maybe when Céline performs again in 2011). But although the MGM skylofts are very roomy they have only 1 bedroom unless you book a 2 or 4 bedroom skyloft (which goes into the thousands of dollars a night). At this point you can actually book a suite in THEhotel against the price that you paid a couple of years ago for a regular room in a hotel like Treasure Island for example. Prices of 110 USD a night are common some days... And I think THEhotel suites are worth the money... IMHO they have one of the best price / quality rates at the moment. As for coupons good idea may have to look in that,, BTW what about renting out the PURE for us fans after the show for a drink or so. I also like some of the Hotels that u mention as well. About renting out PURE... Unless you have a pot of gold I doubt it's managable... A nightclub like PURE, MIX, etc... for example is creating a revenue of about 150 to 200.000 USD a night (based on a yearly revenue of 60 million USD)... So you can imagine that renting out a famous nightclub like PURE will cost a huge amount of money, even if it's on a slow winternight... What may be possible is a reservation for some tables with bottle service... It could also cost some thousands but at least it would be a bargain compared to renting out the club. 2nd, Do u think she will add another show to accommodate us fans that that will be traveling from around the world and to see her,, I hope there will be around 4,0000 of us fans At this moment there is even no sign when (and if) the show is starting... Although sources have confirmed me that she definately will come back it is not certain when she will come back. And while it's probably possible to rent out a whole show (I've been to private perfomances multiple times here in Belgium, even with world stars) I doubt it that it's possible to find about 4.000 fans that can attend that particular show... Remember that there are fans from over the whole world... On the latest international fan gathering in Montréal there were roughly about 50 people from arround the world... People from the USA, Canada, Finland, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Mexico, etc... Even from Australia... You'll see that it will be very very hard to get a decent amount of people... 4.000 people is very unlikely if not impossible to achieve... However... What maybe can be done (and I use the word MAYBE because it is far from sure that it's even possible, actually it's quite impossible but never say never) is that we can negotiate a reserved part of the theater for the opening night for example. Not 4.000 people but maybe 50 to 100 IF we are extremely lucky... To achieve this there will be a lot of negotiating necessary and it must be clear in advance how many people that are 100% certain they can attend that specific show on that specific date, whatever date it may be... But don't get your hopes up yet You'll have to be realistic... There is absolutely no chance that 4.000 people from all over the world would end up in Las Vegas on the same time for 1 performance. It would be absolutely marvelous but unfortunately it's unrealistic 3nd will you take some of fans for a sight seeing trip.I have Never been there before, I'm not from Vegas, I'm even not from the USA, I live in a tiny European country called Belgium. But I know Las Vegas pretty well so I can probably help to arrange something for everyone. But please don't run before you can walk We cannot plan something before it's officialy confirmed that she'll be back in a certain timeframe... Only when this has happened we can start planning... (Although I have to admit that I'm silenty busy to see what's possible and what's not ) Edited September 15, 2009 at 07:18 PM by Bralo20 ...
