Celine's comeback to Las Vegas - March 2011

Yeah. I'm considering checking to see if some of those speeches are lipped or not. Every bootleg I watch is practicually identical -

 

"This next song is written by Jean-Jacques Goldmen...yes, an incredible french artist. It is the biggest song of my French career...and it speaks about loving someone so much, that you are prepared to do anything for that person's love in return. I guess some of us know what that is like."

 

I'm sure I missed a word here and there but for 6 years, it's been the same. lol

 

How about a new French song? Or why not do PQTME, but also do CNQR and 1 other also. 3 French songs with 15 English songs, 13 of which being hers with 2 being covers (there are a few likeable covers...such as It's A Man's World, Can't Help Falling In Love, and I Got The Music In Me).

 

 

I was of course joking. But it is pretty obviously rehearsed. I love most the unscripted moments such as when fans give her gifts and she talks to them while on stage and carries on a funny conversation with the crowd.

 

 

 

That's what i was talking about earlier!! I know introducing the next song thing is usually scripted etc but i'm hoping for more individual things (that happened sometimes on the tour ) for this new show - but i suppose that comes down to the audience. Celine feeds off the audience, so we'll have to wait and see. And some of the LV audiences i was amongst were bloody boring!! No wonder Celine was in robot mode a lot of the time!!!! Who could blame her ? - not me.

 

 

It definitely depends on the crowd. So if she does go back, we just have to do everything in our power to make her go crazy... even if she starts laughing in the middle of every single song...

That's why I think the Vegas shows (in terms of set list) are very ordinary. The majority of the people there are Vegas tourists going to the hottest show in town. They expect to hear the songs they know - BYLM, MHWGO, IACBTMN, TPOL, etc... On a tour, you still have a large amount of "kinda fans" who want to hear this, but you also have a decent amount of people wanting to hear the rarely performed stuff.

 

Additionally, it's because of this that on tour Celine may have the crowd sing the ending of BYLM or RDMH, but not in Vegas. On a tour, it's more so the fans of the artist, but in a Vegas show, it's more so tourists.

Unfortunately I have to tell you that the information given on the Vegas blog is not true. Céline will NOT return on december 31, 2010.

Perhaps that date had been pencilled in just in case baby number 2 didn't happen? And somehow someone leaked it out, when obviously plans/dates have changed since Celine got preggers?!!

I really hope that Celine comes back to Las Vegas..Nobody else does it like Celine does. I never got the chance to see her in "A New Day..." In the 5 years she was there,so it would be amazing to get to see her live in her Colloseum

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but some people in the French section says that Gerard Schachmes confirmed the return of Celine to Vegas this morning during an interview on Belgian radio. Apparantly they re-signed for 3 years... Anybody knows something?

As convenient as it is to see Celine when she's on tour, there's just something about Las Vegas that adds a little extra to the experience. Sure it will be impossible to see her one on one but meeting all the fans from all over the world and getting to enjoy the city with them during the day just makes it even more worth it.
