I've seen a taiwanese version of this reissue Is the US edition repackaged with the OBI strip or its a new edition released in Taiwan?

no. every album released in Taiwan has an OBI strip/slip case. :thumbsup2:

I don't know where is available though :ermm: . I think these remixes were never released on CD format, but only vinyl.

I've checked and the song plays at the same volume level than the rest of the album :blink:

BTW, today its makes 7 years of the release of this great album!!! :kicking: :in_love:

I know I'm "a bit late" with this but actually it's only thanks to Javito and our discussion in an another topic that I noticed this release, lol, somehow I mised it completely and would probably never notice its existance...

Today I finally received a package from Japan with this reissued album (together with SACD version of "ANDHC" album).

Considering I'm a nut when it comes to Japanese releases, I love these 2 a lot as well! :wub:

Wish they'd releasue such reissued/remastere/enhanced versions of other of her older albums, especially of the "Unison", "Celine Dion", "FIY" and "LTAL" and of the French albums from the 90s, not only of "D'eux" which we already have. I can only dream about enhanced sound quality and the extras on addictional DVDs to such releases!... :wub: :wub:

Question: is "The Greatest Reward" on Japanese edition an extended version or not??

I don't want to buy the US edition only because of that one track because I usually don't like the US editions, lol, so guess I will have to look for that track elsewhere if it's not on the Japanese version...

Wow how could you live 3 years (now in february is the 3rd anniversary of this re-release) without having this edition? (yeah I'm so obsessed with this album in particular ) :-D

I don't know by heart now, but yesterday I was listening to the European edition and it does include the extended version of TGR :thumbsup2:

But now you have the japanese edition yourself don't you? Just play the CD to find out! :laugh:

Well, how could I live without having and even without knowing about this release??... Hmm, I guess I've seen this topic back than in 2008 but ignored it because there was sooo much going on with the tour and I spent all my money on the concert tickets, lol, so I wasn't interested (or better to say: couldn't be interested, lol) in buying any limited editions of special editions etc. So I haven't been reading into this topic at all. Besides, I guess I couldn't have imagined what they could have enhanced on an album that was only 5 years old back than so I thought it was just a new design package or stuff like that, something like "Ihre schönsten Weihnachtslieder" (a 2007 reissue of "TAST" in Germany, only with a different pic on the cover and using a new German title for the album).

Now one more question: have any other reissued collector's edition been released in Japan in these past 2-3 years? (like the "TAST" or "D'eux")?

anewdayhascome, of course there are also Japan versions of "ANDHC" album. The original album has been released in Japan in 2002, same as elsewhere. Than there's this collector's edition which (in opposite to US/UK release) includes "Superlove" and the package is slightly bigger which changes the size of the picture on the front, you can see more of that picture than on other countries' releases (see the pictures posted earlier in this topic).

And the Japanese SACD version, released in 2002 (this can be played only in special SACD players or in Blu-Ray players).

But wait a second, Japanese version is different?

The size of the package is bigger, so the artwork is expanded (something worth for this album front cover), and the quality, as with many japanese editions, is much better :thumbsup2:

9 years. OMG, I remeber I was crazy cuz in all the world came out and here in argentina nothing, I had it like two weeks later. And always remeber when the list of songs came out, by that time there was a amazing webpage about Celine that have everything, suffisait.com it calls, sad that closed, anyway, I remeber when I read the first song "I´m alive" I though, his is gonna be an amaing ballad, I knew what it mean, and then when I listen, OMG gone complete crazy... :whee:

I too remember the day I bought the album, it was right after I finished class in the evening that day and I went with my cousin to look for it :in_love:

I also remember the first extracts that we heard from the album, long before TC uploaded the 55 sec clips, much before we even had the official tracklist... it was in Napster, they uploaded a bootleg from the CBS Special, and that was the first time I knew that a spanish song was included again :wub And when I listened I'm Alive, wow I went totally crazy :w00t: :kicking:

Jesus!!! Are we almost a decade away from a birth of that baby called "A New Day Has Come", wich brought A NEW FRESHNESS to Ms Celine.

But unfortunately a company called Sony and (too soon)arrival of the Vegas adventure(read =5 years of golden jail) shoot that baby directly in the heart :rip:

I'll never forget that day the album came out. I was like :whee: When I entered the music store Sorry for love was played and suddenly that LOOOOOOng note came out.......I freakin' exploded inside me. I asked selesman "Excuse me is this Celine Dion?!?" Like I didn't already knew :blink: :whistling:

The rest of that day my ears were in HEAVEN....................still after all the years(s*** is it really 9yrs already)..............WELL Happy Birthday ANDHC!!! You sound very fresh considering your age. :laugh:

Yeah I remember exactly the day I bought... the circumstances... It was MY FIRST album that I bought...

I remember following the lyrics, listening to the album day and night... and starting to become a crazy fan... surfing in the Internet a lot, then watching Divas Las Vegas.... OMG time flies... and I love this album the most...

it's the best album ever released... it was perfect.... and now the magic of such a comeback has vanished... what a pity...

and no ANDHC-ish song in a show... a bad choice... it surely unveils the magic of motherhood and covers used in the show not necessarily...

i miss those day a lot

I love this album! A New Day Has Come was actually the first studio album of Céline's that I bought. After I watched TTEOTW last summer and became a fan, I wanted to look for more of her music...I was looking through her various recordings on iTunes and clicked on that one, and I listened to samples of the title track and I'm Alive. I fell in love! :wub:

This was and still is an amazing album of Céline, and it was also great era of her career, great hit songs nb.1 in charts, great promo, I like it so so much. Thank you for pictures.
