Hey everybody!

 

F I V E more days until Celine is in A T L A N T A !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I just wanted to let everyone know who is coming from out of town/state, bring your WARM clothes. Georgia will be seeing its coldest temps in 15 years this weekend. Can you believe the timing?!?!?! They are saying that the low Saturday will be 10-12 degrees. BRRRRRRRR.........however, they are also saying that at least it will be CLEAR and SUNNY!!!

 

We all need to coordinate a time to meet to work on the banners, sign "Mr. Whispers" (may/may not be his name, but I like it)! Looking forward to meeting you all!!!!

Can somebody please post the exact deatails as to when and where everyone is meeting, what we are doing, etc..

 

I have tried to put it all together but iwth about 400 posts, it is a bit difficult

Hey guys! I've never posted pictures on here before so hopefully I do it right...But guess who arrived a day early!!!!!

 

He came in a small box so I was really worried but the minute I opened the box he came springing out! haha they really know how to compact it down so he should definitely be able to fit in a suitcase

Hi guys!! I'm definitely coming!! I don't think I'll be able to meet though since I'm driving up from FL that day and probably won't get there until right before the show.

 

But I have a question! Those of you who know the Atlanta area - my hotel is 1.5 miles away from the arena, do you think I will be able to walk that? I know it will be COLD so I'll layer, but if it's not doable/safe, can someone let me know? LOL.

I am looking around for a warm place where we can all meet up to make the banner and sign the frog.

 

There are some restaurants around the arena that are decent.

 

The trick is to get to the arena a couple of hours early to avoid the crowd and find parking.

 

I'll post what I find.

Ummm, there's a Taco Mac on Andrew Young Blvd (used to be known as Techwood Drive) only 0.1 mile from the Arena.

 

Taco Mac is tasty and affordable.

Glad you are back, but sorry to hear you have sort of been homeless...

 

About when and where to meet, we still haven't "ironed" out all the details...yet. We do need to decide that, don't we? FOUR DAYS AWAY!!! I will be in Atlanta Friday night, staying at the Omni hotel Friday and Saturday night. We can meet and make the banners at my hotel IF you want, will have room to spread the banner paper out and go crazy with our designs and ideas!! I would think we would want to be finished with the banners around 4'ish, all depending on what time Celine is going to arrive in Atlanta. Is anyone going to have a way to track her plane while we are in Atlanta so we will know when her plane lands. I would hate for us to miss her when the cars come pulling in. We also need to find someone on her team to give the "dressing room" banner to and her adorable froggy! We will need to look for Michel. Katelyn, , so happy the froggy has arrived, and what a cutie he is!!! Thank YOU again for getting him!

 

Lucie, what hotel are you staying at? I think you will be fine walking that distance, but like you said, it will be cold, so dress WARM!

 

I can't believe it is almost here, seems like we have been talking about it for a very long time (come to think about it...we have!)

I am the flight tracker. I receive email alerts that her pilots have filed flight plans and know estimated and actual departures and arrivals. Sounds illegal, but it is public knowledge.

 

I would imagine her band will stay at the omni since it is so close to the arena.

 

Anyone can track it though. Very easy.

Oh, that is GREAT! I didn't know you could do that, so at least we will know when she is expected to land in Atlanta!!!

I'm staying at the Baymont on Peidmont ... I figure I can walk there and if it's too cold, I can just take MARTA back even though it'll take forever.

UPDATE FROM CONTACT @ Phillips Arena:

 

I spoke w/Sharonda at the arena a few minutes ago. She told me that if anyone brings in flowers for Celine they will be collected, taken to the guest services, and taken down to Celine's dressing area while she is on stage. She told me that she was getting ready to go into a meeting in about 10 minutes to discuss the details of the show and what can and cannot be brought in. I will let you know what was said as soon as I hear back from her.

I think the BEST bet would be to find Michel, Celine's brother. If we can find the right entrance, Michel will be right there waiting for Celine to arrive. In Montreal when we waited for Celine, Michael (and one of Celine's bodyguard) was right there, talking to everyone. The sooner we can get the banners done, the sooner we can get down to the arena and "scope" out the entrances! I told my contact at Phillips that we wanted to give Celine a big southern hospitality welcome and that we would be waiting for her to arrive, and she asked me if I was talking about waiting for her inside or outside?! I think she was thinking to herself, how are they going to get inside to wait for her?!?! She is in her meeting right now, so I may not hear back from her before I leave work today, but when I hear something I will let you know. Everyone, I am staying at the Omni Hotel so if you would like to plan to meet there Saturday to work on the banners, let me know and we will decide on a time.

Dah it's so close! I think what Elisa said is right, we should definitely look for Michel or at least talk around and find who is the friendliest and is willing to help us out! We don't want to blow our one and only chance! And thank you Elisa for calling the arena and finding out all the information! Can't wait to hear what they say!

 

I should be getting into Atlanta around noon but I'm gunna say I'll be at the hotel around 1 to be on the safe side! I will give you a call Elisa to find out where you guys are all at so we can all side the froggie!!!

Just remember when you can't stand the cold any longer, you can always stand next to any of the tour busses exhausts pipes just like we did after the Millennium Concert!! Yes, you might be a "little stinky" but at least it might save your toes from freezing off!
