did she recognize you from Oprah?

yes! she did :D Patrick was introducing everyone by name and he stood between me and Celine and said "You should know this next one... " and then moved out of the way. She pointed to me and goes "Oh! How long since Oprah?!" and I said "It was 2007..." and she goes "eh, too long!" and gave me a hug... Then she goes "how are you?" and I said "ehh...." and she said "eh??? get better! Take care of yourself." then she saw my gift, we took a pic, kiss kiss... off I went mouthing "I love you.." in her direction... Mmmm.

I have a silly story.

After the concert, I finally pushed my way outside the arena. I walked along--happy to have some room to breathe---when I hear Celine singing Taking Chances. I slow down. Yes, I can hear her clearly. It sounds like it is coming out of the vents in the ground. I am a bit puzzled because I realize it is being sung live. I stop. I look down. I turn to a lady beside me and say something about the music coming out of the vents. I am very confused because clearly Celine's voice shouldn't be coming out of the vents---especially since she had already left the building and the concert was over. I walk on still puzzled into the Omni hotel and into the elevator.

The elevator is jam packed with folks from the concert. Older folks mostly. It is really quiet. I hear Celine singing as clear as day again and ask, "Okay, please tell me you all hear Celine singing right now?" They laugh. "Okay good....." I look around and realize Celine is singing from my pocket. I crack up. I had accidentally been playing my recordings all that time.

DoH! I honestly thought i had lost my mind. Anyway, the folks on the elevator got a nice repeat performance of Taking Chances.

LOL. Sometimes I am so silly.

I was at Atlanta, too! We drove from Nashville, and TOTALLY FORGOT that there is a TIME ZONE difference. So I was going no joke 100 mph at least trying to make up the difference!!!!! We had 2nd row seats by the catwalk. It was AMAZING but.....I do have to say it was one of the best and worst nights of my life. We had already been to NAshville and B'Ham that week, so ATL was a last minute expensive topping on the cake thing lol. Let me preface this by saying my mom is the greatest mom in the whole world. Well...we made it there thanks to my channeling my inner Nascar driver. But Gordie was already on stage! :o So my mom says to me, "Go on, I'll catch up. I don't want you to miss Céline coming out" -she knows the intro is where I officially lose it for an hour and a half. So I take my ticket and RUN! I really didn't want to leave her but I could see the doors to the place and the crowd so I knew she knew how to get in...haha. I ran ran ran and got to my seat and Gordie was till onstage. Whew. We did it. I pulled off my coat, my flip flops, pulled my stilettos out of my purse (not even kidding) and put them on and got super pumped. But where was my mom???? She should have been at our seats by now.

Gordie finishes and I'm concerned. THEN my mom comes up and I'm like "WHERE WERE YOU MOTHER?" In my best motherly voice, of course. She said the line was big and she got lost coming to the seats. The concert starts and OMG amazingness takes place. Céline walks right by us on the catwalk, I'm wearing a zebra print strapless dress so she can see me easily (lol), and she does! And she smiles down and holds out her hand and waves and points and all that fun stuff. I am thrilled beyond words dancing, hiking up my dress every other arm wave cause it was falling down, lol. Well, after the opening speech and a few more songs I look over at my mom again. ANd she's sitting down which is fine, but then I see her head drop to her chest and she drops the bottle of water she is holding and it spills everywhere and I'm like omg. I run over and yell at her and she is OUT COLD. My moom has never passed out in her life.... until then. She has heart probems, so I'm officially FREAKING out. I yell at an usher nearby HELP and he comes over and I am pretty sure I was yelling MAMA louder than Céline was singing. I could feel her teeth grinding and they pushed me away and I was crying and there were people trying to comfort me and ask if I was ok, and I was like MY MAMA is not OK!

They finally get her to come around and I'mlike get out of the way! But they make me stand back in my zebra print dress and high heels lol and I feel like an idiot cause I'm still yelling. She talks to me and I am so relieved. She said she just got dizzy and passed out. LIAR. LIAR LIAR. Uh huh.

They take her in a wheelchair to the medical office in the arena. I go with them. I am worried about my mom but selfishly this whole time I am thinking 'this was supposed to be the best night of my life'. My mom then proceeds to tell them that on her way into the arena, the crowd pushed her and she fell DOWN THE STAIRS outside trying to get in and hit her kneee, elbow, and thigh. They examine her and she is BLEEDING everywhere!!!!! They say she passed out because she lost too much blood!

My mother knew this was supposed to be the best night of my life. And she wouldn't tell me she was hurt, she said because she didn't want to ruin it. She told me the expression on my face and me smiling and dancing were worth dealing with the pain she was going through sitting there until she passed out. She said she was just going to go to her local doctor the next day when she got home...OMG. OMG. OMG. Who does that?

Well they tell me she has to have stitches she is bleeding and they are going to get the ambulance to take her to the ER. I freak out. She, still in pain, and embarrassed, tells me to go back down and watch the rest of the show, that maybe I'll get to hug Céline on her way offstage. OMG. I was like no, mom, I'm coming with you (even though it hurt me, cause I love Celine and I thought it was my chance to hug her and see her) but she insisted. They sent her off and I'm crying and they send me back down to my seat with some dude that worked there. Everyone around me was asking how she was and I told them and I'm hardly able to focus on Céline of course. But there she is and I got some good pictures :) I was so worried and pissed off at the same time. It was hard to deal with thse emotions. My mother is passed out in a chair 10 feet away from my idol. OMG.

At the end of the show she exited on the other side of the stage, and the dude came and got me and took me out. I have never been to Atlanta, but somehow I made it to the ER. My mom was there and the first thing she said was, "Did you get to hug her?" and I told her no, I was crying so much. It was an emotional night for sure. But I told her she saw me and waved at me a few more times and that was amazing in itself. We stayed in the ER all night. Her blood pressure was really low and she almost passed out a few more times. Her heart was fine, she had just lost too much blood. She got 40 stitches in both her elbow and knee. And her entire left leg was purple...all the way down to her calves from the bruise she had. She hit those concrete steps on the edge and really hard. They thought she might have broken her leg of fractured it because of the bruise, so she had x-rays, but was fine (whew). We were worried about what we were going to tell my dad because he thought we were only going to the Nashville concert and we had lied and said we were just hanging out at my apartment for a week... he would have DIED. So we were glad nothing was broken.

We got admitted to a room and had to wait on her blood pressure. I slept in my zebra dress and flip flops, mascara all over my poor face (LOL), on the reclining chair bed thing. Finally, they released us and we drove home the next day. I really don't care much for atlanta haha.

I love my mom. And with mother's day coming up, it makes me cry. She still has scars on her elbow and knee and her thigh will take months to heal because it is still swollen. And she kept her mouth shut because she knew how much I had dreamed of sitting by the stage and dancing with my girl, Céline. If she hadn't passed out, she probably would have pulled it off, too. I can't fathom how much pain she was in, but everytime I looked over she would smile the biggest smile right back at me.

If any of you saw me, I apologize for distracting from the show lol. I just hope Céline didn't notice. I love my mom very much. That's why she bought us front row tickets to St. LOuis he very next day. She kept apologizing and crying for ruining my night. She said she had to make it up to me. Which she didn't have to do, but that's just how much she loves me. AH I'm crying. But yeah. Atlanta. What a night!

St. Louis was definitely the best, bittersweet because it was the last on my tour :( but still amazing! Atlanta was definitely ....weird... ha! My mom said as she was falling she was holding her ticket in her hand and the camera that we had just bought up over her head so she wouldn't A) lose her ticket and B) break the new ultra zoomable camera. Gotta love it.

One funny part though- When the guy took me back to the medical offices for directions to the hospital after the show was over, he took us backstage where all of the dressing rooms were. I walked by a couple of her bodyguards and some of the dancers who had just changed...and of course, I'm thinking, OMG IS Céline back here? I looked through EVERY door and waaay down the hall but we had to turn and go up a staircase and I was thinking MAN! She was probably in like, the next room down which I couldn't see or something....hahaha.

I still can't believe I wore that zebra print dress for a whole 24 hours. You should have seen the looks the people in the hospital were giving me. It was so funny. They probably thought by the looks of me I was a disheveled hooker. I always tried to wear something cute that would at least get me some attention from the stage ha. In St. Louis, I wore a bright orange dress. It was pretty, and suitable, but very orange. I didn't want to take a chance she would miss me. :) Whatever it takes for Céline!

Wow ladylindsey ! I dont even know what to say after reading about your experience, It must have been all really hard for you .... Your mam sounds amazing, such a mam thing to do, go through awful stuff just for their kids, its so cute!!! I could see my mam doing something like that!!!. It really shows what you mean to her anyway, which is really nice :)

Im glad you got to go to St.Louis after everything and hope you get to hug Celine one day (i hope i do too!!) and that your mam is doing fine,

Thanks for sharing your story , you had me gripped to my seat :)

BTW I like your idea about making your self noticeable to Celine!!!Hmmmm, I could end up wearing something really weird to Vegas if she goes back there!!

Oh gah. Bad memories haha I was dealing with my mom passed out during this. I remember vaguely being aware of where Céline was on stage while all that was going on and I remember seeing her on the floor, not singing and being silly, but I was a bit preoccupied. Good to see what really went down haha.

I'm sure she was thinking, "They are CRAZY!" but you know, in a good way :thumbsup2:

Oh funny, I had a friend at Atlanta sitting on the other side who said she was close to this girl who had had a Meet n Greet with Céline during Gordie's bit. And this girl was freaking out (of course :D ) and looking at random people, showing them her arm, saying "LOOK! This is Céline's GLITTER on my arm! It's her actual GLITTER from her body!" :giggle:

hehe too cute.

I was amongst the "screamers" on this video  !! I so much wanted her to know that I was supporting her. I think this was the best crowd. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you got a glimpse of my head on here because from the angle you're shooting, I should be to the right. That was a great moment. This brings back great memories. I could go on and on and on  :kicking: :kicking:
