i noticed that too in manchester! weird? makes me wonder if its recorded.

 

Heard her sing that before her break as well, I think it was in Australia! But why would they make a WRONG recording and play it over and over again? I think she just does not remember the lyrics well, and no one tells her... Poor thing! It does sound and looks live to me.

The funny thing is that Barnev sings it wrong as well... The first time I heard it only Céline sang it wrong, now they both do. Maybe she wanted to change te lyrics? But it makes completely NO SENSE, 'and when it seems as if your arms are drawing near'.

Just got back from the 02 and had an amazing time. A few of us met up in the Ha Ha bar for a chat and a drink before the show. Nice to meet you all!

The concert was superb. I was lucky enough to be at both Manchester gigs and I thought this was better. Her voice was amazing, the sound was better and so was the audience. I think I stood most of the night, no problems here as in Manchester. the oufits were the same and if memory serves me right the set list was the same. Personally I think she sang every song live. As I was further back this time I didn't take any photos so spent my time listening to her carefully and watching her on the big screen. As I said, in my opinion everything was live.

She didn't talk as much as in Manchester which is a shame....it would have lasted longer if she did!

I was sitting near the entrance where she walks through the crowd to leave so as MHWGO was ending I left my seat and walked to the end of the row to try to get a photo. Unfortunately the security were in a line to stop you getting too close but I did manage to video her walking out.

The empty seats I think Felix was refering to are by the walk ways from the stage to the side. They are kept empty to stop people getting onto them. In Manchester they covered them over with black material but I don't think they did that in the 02 so that's why they looked like empty seats.

For those going on Thursday - they're more concerned whether you try to take a drink in the arena rather than a camera!

Think I need sleep now as I'll be too tired to go Celine Spotting at her hotel in the morning!

 

So we can see her getting under the stage for the opening or she comes in a box like LTAL tour?

I am new to this forum. I was there last nite with my partner and all I can say is she is on top form. It was superb. I loved ABM and she most deffinatley sings it live. I am going again on thursday this time bymyself so it would be good to meet for a drink before hand if anyone wants to.

I have one question though, were all the food places in the venue full? Like manic queues and crazy waiting times?

 

Also, some of you mentioned they searched bags for drinks, did they take them off you? Are they not allowed in the O2 itself or just the venue part?

Thanks for all the reviews and photos - they're great and Celine looks on top form! I'm going tomorrow and just wondered about timings as the o2 site doesn't give any! No idea what time to get there, did most people turn up just for Celine or is it worth getting there early for the support. the ticket says show starts at 8pm - i assume that's the support?

CELINE WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

 

Her voice was absolutely incredible, and there wern't any songs that I could tell were mimed so I'm thinking the majority was live.

 

Only downside of an amazing night, THE CROWD!!!!! Me and my brother were so up for dancing and belting the whole night but everyone around us just sat there. To be fair, we wern't shouted at or abused like some of the Manchester stories I've been hearing, but it would have been nice for the people to be up with us instead of just watching us!

 

I'll try and post some vids later, but what from what I've seen of them from my camera screen, mostly the audio is me singing and not Celine!!

The show was amazing- I was Block D2 row D and it was awesome- I think she spent a little more time on the other side but it really doesn't matter. Also, the crowd stood up much more than in Manchester. My Love was unreal, so was TT and FA- she's just amazing. That's all I can say. Also she didn't do the little Rene Charles tea, glf & Queen chat...I'm so exhausted after my manic Celine weekend- drove back to Manc last night and didn't get home till 4am. So worth it tho- when leaving the dome it's so cool cos it's all lit up and there are big Celine banners across the big pillar things- very cool- couldn't get a picture tho.

 

One piece of advice, get there early for food- we did thank God, but after 7 pm, the queues are horrible.

It sounds like the UK part of the tour is going great so far! I'm so happy for you guys. The pictures are beautiful! Any theories on why she didn't talk so much? I felt like she didn't do much talking in Sydney and that was when she did the whole speech thingy, but oh well.

I'm finally back to Glasgow and soooo tired but also soooo happy

The show was amazing, her voice perfect and I think that it was all live...even the high note on ABM...

The only negative is that it ended soon, I wanted more...

I was lucky to see her from a close distance (BK112) when she entered and left the arena...

 

I was a little late and so did not have the chance to meet you guys...

firstly wow what a night . . . nice to meet some of you

 

I was so wired after I didn't sleep (that and stomach ache! too much information maybe LOL)

 

 

she didn't lipsynch in our opinion

 

audience were a bit sober / stiff in our section but Celinemanaged to get every one up later

 

I wanted to dance more but there isn't much foot room in front of the seats (but the seats are comfie - not nasty plastic)

 

drinks

 

yep you are allowed to take a drink in but NO LID (I had my bottle of pepsi max opened and I though oh-o but the security said you can have your drink but we have to take the lid)

they didn't search everyone though - my sister had handbag and carrier from shop and they didn't check hers

 

 

 

it just seemed so sudden the end . . I would have liked to see her take a bit more applause, and do a real encore not a scheduled on and speak a little longer

 

lot sof people sitting near us left when they thought it was the end when she said goodnight and I kept saying she hasn' t finished there is more!!!!

Hi Guys

 

Bit of a late review from me...it been a long weekend,lol.

 

First of all the the intro video in person is even more amazing than what we have seen captured on youtube...

it really got the crowd going!! I loved it.....

The show went to fast, but flowed seemlessly, very well.

 

Celine, looked and sounded amazing as usual!!

I have to say, ''sol'' was amazing, so so so, much better than what we've heard from pevious shows, so i was relieved and happy, as its my fav. song on the album!!I hope someone has captured it, they obviously made a few changes because it was amazing!!

 

The best songs for me last night were; ''abm'' - that note was amazIng and the crowd really responded...lol, ''sol''- as I said already, ''tt'' - it was amazing to hear this live finally, again the crowd went mad for it!!, ''tiamw'' was so good, i loved her version, and again the notes, were sooo good, and finally ''rdmh'' - this was another highlight, I would even say for me the best performnce of the night, and looking around the o2, everyone, and I mean everyone was on there feet dancing, singing and smiling, it was a great moment... (brought back memories of vegas ).

 

As others have said I wish she had of talked more... she never even acknowledged fans who shouted out, i love you, when she was talking to the crowd, like she did in vegas...I found that a bit weird!!

 

Anyways....lol.

 

I think ''ml' really effected her last night, as she seemed so into it, and she was on her kness, singing it directly to rene, who was seated at the back of the sound booth, and she wiped away a tear or two at the end, and because she was right infront of me, for the whole song it was a bit moving....

 

I love the new silver top/short dress she wears for ''eom'' with the black boots, she looked so good in that, but my favourite costume was the ''rdmh'' dress....as smeone else said, the photos and footage don't do it justice...she looks incredible in it, and the microphone stand trick and the raising platfom at the same time was sooo cool....

 

Was nice to have ''ptme'' in the show to although, as soon as celine came onstage, some bloody woman in the upper tier behind me, kept randomingly shouting out, sing something in french, very loudly...

Really rude and annoying, and I think Celine heard her as she looked in her direction once, after she shouted it!!

 

Was it me or did she forget her words at the end of ''iya''??

barnel sang most of the last part without her, which seemd different.....but maybe I had a few to many beers....lol.

 

I took loads of photos, and hope to film a few songs tomorrow night also...

 

Apparently, andrew lyodd webber and the nancy's from the bbc1 show, were there in a private box, and one of the bee gee's (I think Robin)...was also apparently there.

 

I will have info. later regarding yesterday's soundcheck

i m coming back from london gatwick right now... i will post my mp3 of yesterday tonight.... i recorded all but i missed the last part of TIAMW and MHWGO, one person of the security saw me recording the whole show and he said to switch off my mobile only me!! i cant believe it! I can say it was much more than extraordinary...great voice for this night show... loved so much SOL, FA,ABMS,ML,TSMGO,IYA,ALONE,RDMH,TT and many others...but these are the best of the concert I think... see ya for the mp3

Ok, yesterday's souncheck....

 

I met my contact in the o2, along with sister and a few others...and we headed straight for backstage...

There was a small problem with our passes for that particular door/area, so Patrick (angelil) had to come and get us...we went into the arena, and I gave Patrick a gift for celine, and he said he'd take it backstage for her

 

We sat in section 102, about 10/11 rows back, right next to one of the stage isles that goes into the crowd.

There was guys behind us with laptops, setting up the screens and testing the video's wirelessly, pretty cool, seeing how it was done.

I had to hide my sisters eyes, as they played the intro video without sound, I didn't want to spoil the concert for her, as shes seen no videos on youtube or anything of the show....lol.

There was people still setting up seats, taking costumes on rails under the stage, testing the lights, a dancer onstage practicing the dance from 'eom' with celines cape.

The band then started to come in little bursts, mego was first, then, dominic, then they new lady on percussion, and the backing singers were last to arrive.

 

They practiced ''fa'', ''wwry'', ''bylm'' and ''eom'' and they all goofed about, especially elise and the other female backing singer, stomping round the stage, laughing and making random crazy noises, the other bandmembers were cracking up...lol.

 

There was a lady onstage with a mic the whole time, although we couldn't hear her,lol... and she was taking the backing singers through some things, like where they had to walk to, or how they had to dance to a certain song etc...at one point all three of them came up to us, and waved, barnel and elise said hi, and smiled, and when they were about to walk away elise said bye and waved again...shes really really nice!!

 

At about 5.10, out of the left hand corner from were we were, we seen 5 large guys and a small but sparkling figure making there way in...obviously it was celine....

She came up the stairs to the stage, wearing a long trench coat, her hair in a bun, big alien sunglasses, no makeup, black trousers, a huge handbag n crazy high, high boots....lol. (more about the boots later, lol)

She put her bag on mego's keyboard/piano, got her black scarf out of her bag, put it on and took off her glasses, then went round and kissed all of her band, and waved to the guys at both ends, of the arena who do lighting and sound, then grapped her mic, and looked at us and said hi guys and waved, the guy then put in her earpieces for her....

if you booked thru livenation/ticketmaster they sent out an email about a week ago with times. Celine was onstage approx 2055 I believe. I sat outside and had a drink and didnt enter until about 2040.

no way, im 110% sure it was live! i got ABM taped awsome. my fav part!

 

i also loved my love,however she was not on the side i was sitting for that. she should have moved around a bit more i think so everyone could get the affect of that song, was amazing though. you could see she was touched. and my god, the first few notes of my love which was a capella, oh my, it was great.

Celine started off soundcheck with ''tc'' she sang the whole song with the band but , strange notes, and noises and changed a few words here an there it was pretty cool...

 

she had on the biggest diamond ring, and bracelet, it really sparkled, everytime she moved, bet it cost a fortune!!!

 

She did keep sniffing though, through out the soundcheck, I hope shes ok.

 

She then did a little bit of ''fa'' , ''tsmgo'', and in between all this the band would look or point at her shoes/boots, which I think must have been new, and she was pranching round in them, showing them off...lol, I don't know how she walks in them.

The last I would say 35 mins, she was practicing ''tiamw'' and this song was getting to her, well the last high note ''nothing''...

she kept playing with her earpiece pouch, and looking at the sound booth...and she kept talking to ''frank'' in french though...he was getting a hard time but in a funny way....she'd keep saying frank, then talk in french, and say no ''ding, ding ding'' and signal with her hand as she said this...this happened a few times, and I must have heard that bit of song atleast 47 times, seriously...lol. (poor frank) he he

But it was cool, and then she was happy, so the she walked around the stage doing her vocal excercises, like the phone noise she makes, then hums, and screams etc, and she did the vegas soundcheck thing fom the dvd ''friday...saturday'' but she said; friday, no no.. tuesday...it was funny.

 

She then walked up the ramp to us, while singing ''tsmgo'' again, and she saluted us, winked, and stood right infront of us for a bit before smiling and walking back to the centre stage...

A guy then came onstage with a mop and bucket and was cleaning it, and celine shortly after tried to walk up the other isle, and nearly slipped, so two guys held onto her and walked her up it, and she didn't miss a beat... she kept singing...what a pro, (i don't think those boots helped tho, lol)

 

She then goofed around with mego and the backup dancers, she used her mic as a flute, and was stomping her feet around them, all doing crazy noises, and laughing.

Finally she said, thats it guys, I'll see you all tonight....then the 5 bodyguards appeared, she put on her glasses and she walked backstage...

 

An hour in total with celine at soundcheck, it was amazing!!!

The place where the sound engineers are located always got the best sound, no matter what venue you are in. So if you are looking for places with the best sound possible, stay at the sound board.
