cdfan32 Posted May 7, 2008 at 12:10 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 12:10 AM (edited) im sure celine was happy it was hot in london, she hates the cold weather and it isnt good for voice, sounds like a great show! True, though sadly I'll be surprised if this ends up on the DVD since her makeup was melting all over her face... Edited May 7, 2008 at 12:11 AM by cdfan32 Quote

jacwar58 Posted May 7, 2008 at 12:29 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 12:29 AM Just got back from the 02 and had an amazing time. A few of us met up in the Ha Ha bar for a chat and a drink before the show. Nice to meet you all!The concert was superb. I was lucky enough to be at both Manchester gigs and I thought this was better. Her voice was amazing, the sound was better and so was the audience. I think I stood most of the night, no problems here as in Manchester. the oufits were the same and if memory serves me right the set list was the same. Personally I think she sang every song live. As I was further back this time I didn't take any photos so spent my time listening to her carefully and watching her on the big screen. As I said, in my opinion everything was live. She didn't talk as much as in Manchester which is a shame....it would have lasted longer if she did!I was sitting near the entrance where she walks through the crowd to leave so as MHWGO was ending I left my seat and walked to the end of the row to try to get a photo. Unfortunately the security were in a line to stop you getting too close but I did manage to video her walking out.The empty seats I think Felix was refering to are by the walk ways from the stage to the side. They are kept empty to stop people getting onto them. In Manchester they covered them over with black material but I don't think they did that in the 02 so that's why they looked like empty seats. For those going on Thursday - they're more concerned whether you try to take a drink in the arena rather than a camera!Think I need sleep now as I'll be too tired to go Celine Spotting at her hotel in the morning! Arno Carston was better than I expected and had a good voice, the music just wasn't particularly memorable and the crowd was really not into it. Queues to get in weren't that long (5 minutes max) as things moved smoothly, though food was an entirely different matter...as someone else said, wait until you're inside the actual arena. Quote

She comes in a side entrance and walks partway through the crowd (around block 112, northeast corner of stage) and goes into a curtained entrance to go under the stage. Spotlight was on her for the 5 seconds it took her to walk. Quote

She started the night out with the upbeat I Drove All Night and ended the show with the ballad My Heart Will Go On. Last month, the Titanic singer performed down-under in Sydney, Australia. Celine, 40, has just completed a record five-year, five-nights-a-week show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and will soon begin to focus more of her time on family and other interests. 10+ pictures of Celine Dion’s oxygen overload… http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/05/06/celine-dion-oxygen/ Quote

ks1981 Posted May 7, 2008 at 02:40 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 02:40 AM I have some very good news after seeing Celine tonight - the show was amazing! Im going to keep this message short cause its 3.35am and its been a long day. I have recorded video of the Concert tonight...and its turned out brilliantly prob the best so far (i think..) Didnt get the entire concert was a slight disaster, was waiting for the postman this morning for my new memory card which did arrive before i left- got to the concert this didnt work. Broke one of my other memory cards so was very limited with memory. Decided to record some full songs and the rest i just recorded snippets up unitl 3/4 of the show. The good news is im going back on Thursday. The audio on the video has come out brilliantly too. Off the top of my head I know i got full version of think twice and possilbly full versions of My Love, Shadow of Love, All by myself, Fade Away and the rest are snippets. I will upload prob tomorrow - so watch this space!! Kevin. Quote

Bebis83 Posted May 7, 2008 at 03:34 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 03:34 AM oh my god!!! finally. i cried when she came on stage. she came, walking in the aisle, then it took a minute or so then she was within this sceen(4 walls) and it opened, and as in knew i would, i got choked up, i cried. then i drove all night started, og it was amazing, i filmed that and all my myself. believe me she is singing live!! i just couldnt believe what i was seeing....it was all so unreal. her voice is like an angel. believe me every tone she sang was LIVE!!! belive you me. my favourites was: all my byself, my love (which was inredible!!! no instruments in the beginning) and unfortunatley it all came to an end so quickly. many people left by the time love can move mountain was done, but us fans know thats not the end, but the says good night, and the crowd went wild!! it was awsome. of course we were all waiting for RDMH and MHWGO!! ooook, finally saw celine live! i was on the floor. D2, row 6, seat 24. it was a good eats but obviously the seats in the lower tier near the catwalks were the best as when she went there she was so close to the audience. also csection b2 was better then d2 as she was more on that side because the arena has more seats on that side. BUT BUT BUT i had an awsome time. every time she came to sectgion D2 we all got up, and celine loved it! but i wish she was more all over the place, but god she was close when she was on our side, and i could tell they tried their best to get on all sides. oh god! i hope i get another chance to see her live. itwas all very surreal. anyways, i took a few videos, and maaaaany pictures. i will post a few here tmrw, but now it is so late here in london i better sleep. happy celine fan who wants more celine. never enough i waved my glowing light as vrazy on row gm, seat 24 Quote

cdfan32 Posted May 7, 2008 at 06:47 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 06:47 AM Not great quality, but I did get the bracelet: I'm on the floor on Thursday....so tired now! As for prices, I would say there is food and drink in all price categories, the O2 website has a pretty comprehensive listing of vendors, plus there are the staples like Starbucks, etc. all over. There are both food stands (inside the arena) and sit-down restaurants, but good luck getting a seat at one of those. Quote

DonnaR_UK Posted May 7, 2008 at 07:57 AM Posted May 7, 2008 at 07:57 AM AMAZING I had a fantastic time at the O2 last night, I thought that the show was great! I was like a kid on smarties, my eyes were everywhere and I could'nt sit still! We had Block D3 row L, but after the third song, I went down the isle to the front and stayed there the rest of the night, as the event staff were quite obliging. At the end of the show I thanked the event guy for not bothering with moving me on, and he said that he could see I was really enjoying myself that he left me alone! I thought that the stage layout was good, and she really made use of it well. I thought that the band were on top form and the dancers added that extra pizazz. The song setlist was just right to, with quite a few upbeat numbers. The only downside was not a lot of my photos came out that well, as I must have moved the setting on it, but the upside is, is that I have seen a few good ones posted on here! Above all I think that the lady herself was amazing, and I am so going to go and see another show somewhere during the year before the tour ends! HAIL 'QUEEN CELINE' Quote One Dream Keeps You Wondering!!!
