Also I did notice, how come she didn't introduce the band during a song like she normaly does? Or did she, and I just missed it from being soooo excited??!!!

She didn't introduce her band in Brisbane either :ermm:

She does not do it in this tour. What a pity! :ermm:

I wonder why not?

She didn't introduce them but she did thank them, along with the dancers, at the end of the concert.

Did the London stage feature both sets of moving screens? In Manchester (and in Tokyo) one set of screens moved to the ceiling to reveal another set at an angle underneath them, but I don't remember seeing the first set at the O2. Am I crazy or were they not used?

Actually I dont think they were used on the 2nd Manchester night either!

No Thomas I dont think you are going nuts, the screens weren't there. At least not on the first night in London anyway which is the show I attended.

The first night of Manchester had both screens the second night had only one set.

She really wasn't very chatty, my otherhalf said it was like she was rushing through the songs to get it over and done with.

Shame really but the songs more than made up for it!

Yeah it was very apparent that she didnt really want to be talking much, in fact she talked much more in the Vegas show but never mind overall though the concerts were still superb.

She got berated in one review at Manchester over what she said about tea, golf etc so she probably thought it best to keep quite in London.

I have to say tho' that on Thursday night, even tho' she didn't say that much more she was obviously enjoying herself and engaging with the crowd. At the end she shouted out 'I love you London' which I hadn't heard her say in any other show.

Yeah, she chatted more in Manchester but she was really into the show on Thursday more than any other in the UK so far in my opinion. She just seemed so much more free and she was being really dorky with her movements, which as I've mentioned a few times since the tour began, were the things I felt were missing from the show. Hope it's a sign of things to come!

All this "waxing the arm" talk, is rubbish!

She has normal arms, I wouldnt have even noticed the hair if someone hadnt said. It is just where the light is shining so brightly on her, picking up on everything.

But seriously, arm hair?! Get a life peoplee!!!!!

Too true. Chubaka our Celine certainly ain't as someone suggested!

I have just about finished cutting up all the tracks, tagging them, & making them road worthy for instant adding to ipod :) I've nearly finished artwork and with maxcelines permission will post the complete package? Let me know what you think.

Much love, Michael xx

Though it's a bit late but thought of sharing this review from Evening Standard:

A night with a talented diva

By John Aizlewood, Evening Standard 07.05.08

More reviews by John Aizlewood

John Aizlewood

Celine Dion

Full voice: Celine Dion was poised and powerful in an almost perfect entwining of singer and song

Some divas are born. Others, you suspect, have divadom thrust upon them. Despite selling almost 200 million albums, Celine Dion is probably in the latter camp.

In her first London show since 1999, the 40-year-old worked too hard, sweated too much and spent too long on stage to be a genuine diva. And while she did announce that her son Rene-Charles and her mother Therese had joined her in the capital, she had the grace not to parade them to the crowd.

Christened the Taking Chances tour, perhaps in irony, this gaudy, loose-limbed spectacular took very few chances. There were costume changes: five in all (the flared trousers were shockingly unflattering; the gigantic white cape endearingly bonkers and the rest oddly alluring).

There were eight wonderfully choreographed dancers, lighting that could illuminate Neptune and, as if we had chanced upon the set of a misguided Seventies peek into the future, moving walkways.

Those peripherals made the evening, but the show itself was about Dion’s voice. Edith Piaf offered the same conundrum 60 years ago, but it seemed almost a miracle of nature that someone so tiny of waist could produce vocals of such extraordinary power.

Yet whether wrapping itself around James Brown’s It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World, rescuing The Power Of Love from karaoke hell or somehow breathing life into River Deep Mountain High, that voice reinvented whatever it touched. And so poised and believable was her assault on the closing My Heart Will Go On (alas nobody in the crowd remembered to do the Titanic pose), that for a moment you almost forgot what a ghastly slab of hammy old schlock it is.

Indeed, while she remains overly addicted to jobbing American songwriting hacks such as Dianne Warren and Linda Perry for her material, when she unfurled a great song everything made sense.

On the genius Jim Steinman’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now or that painfully unflinching dissection of a decaying long-term relationship, Think Twice, the drama and too-often suppressed darkness of Dion’s voice made for an almost perfect entwining of singer and song.

As if to confirm that she will never be credible, an ill-conceived medley of Queen’s We Will Rock You and The Show Must Go On was unspeakably naff, but frankly who cares? Certainly not Celine Dion, the anti-diva diva.

Hey folks !!!

What a show :cheer:

Nate and I have now the seen show with the frontal stage and the central stage.

I think we both agreed that the cetral stage is fantastic but it was SO much better having Celine actually facing you the whole show on the frontal stage. I hated having to watch her back.

I took a million pics. Will upload later. Going to play golf first :P

Wow  Thanks everyone for all the cool pics and video. I never expected to see so much video from a show I attended. I was lucky enough to go to this show with my friend Lee. It was sooo amazing, she was in great voice as well. She did lip a few of the beginning songs like I Drove All Night, Power Of Love, It's All Coming Back To Me Now, & To Love You More - everything else was live. I think the unexpected highlight for me was My Love. I never expected her to sing this song and it was soo emotional. It was also the first time I've seen her sing Think Twice at a show and the London crowd just ate it up, it wasn't a hit in the US so she never does it.

The crowd was a bit subdued, we were in the 2nd row in the area where she came in & out. A lot of us stood during the upbeat songs but there were a few yelling out "sit down" throughout the show. She didn't talk as much as she usually does but she did sing a lot of songs. The staging and the dancers were great, loved the choreography - Jamie King did a fine job, you could def see his influence throughout the show. I sooo wanted to hit the May 8th show but had to fly back to the US. I can't wait for the Montreal & East Coast US shows now!!!!

The merchandise was expensive but everything is in the UK if you're from the US. I'm hoping the prices are more reasonable in Montreal and the US. They did have a lot of things for sale, I had to buy a Tshirt show, they were sooo cool. I got the black one with the countries listed with Celine on the front & back - so cool.

I'm currently uploading the show in one big .rar file containing all the mp3s (courtesy of maxceline) splitted, tagged and iPOD ready,. Also included is the front cover I made. I plan on doing the full artwork soon... just needed a nice cover for my own iPOD hehe.

The download link will be with sharebee. That way at least one of the 4 hosts will work with you (as I know some people can't use rapidshare, others megaupload etc).

MP3s are already compressed so they won't be much bigger once they are extracted from the .rar file.

This is my first ever post on the forum hi everyone. Went to the concert on Tuesday absolutely loved it it was my first time seeing Celine live hopefully it wont be my last. I’m 18 and I went along with my sister who is 17 it seemed like we where the only teenagers there but it didn’t put us off we went their to witness Celine’s talent and we were not disappointed. Thanks for the Mp3s MaxCeline and thanks for brushing them up Michael but I noticed that My heart will go on has not been uploaded so I thought ill put my sisters recorded video of the performance up for everyone, the video isn’t great but the sound is there which is the main thing. I was at three of Celine's shows last week, including this one, and I have just realised that I noticed no 'Fashion Victim' video! In fact, other than the introduction montage I paid very little attention to the screens and remember nothing of the other videos...!

Can anybody tell me if there were any themed videos like there were for the first leg of the tour and if so, what did they consist of? I'm going mad trying to remember!

Thanks

ps: mahdi1989 thanks for the video!
