After D'elles debuted at #1 in France chart, a lot of people are buying that album now!! We can see the chart position from this website:

Well, i didn't count them myself to say for sure, but in the article they say sold, not shipments. They're talking about the double platinum certification from Quebec based on shipments.

They put a press release on the official site saying 500,000 shipped. I also read an interview with the lady from Columbia Records saying that Celine is one of the few artists that sells 1 million copies just like that, with no effort and that they will be really pleased with it selling 500,000, but they think it can sell more. I think this album will reach 1 million sooner or later.

really? well i was the one who said DELLES is her best french album ever and one can not argue with the facts - it's not selling as much as it should in france . that does not mean a thing regarding the quality of this amazing album , it only means celine doesnt have a record label like we already knew and once again rene made a poor decision releasing this album while celine is still in vegas and cant promote it right .

 

in the case of OH or MIRACLE i couldnt care less but here we have one of her best albums ever and it's just frustrating knowing that most people dont even know it's out

I cancelled my Collector's Edition from amazon.co.uk as it was delayed twice. I'll get it on the 6th in HMV. Preparing to soil myself. The iTunes version is good but my stereo is craving the beautiful cd in all it's glory. I'm gonna get all 3 versions. I don't give a rat's #ss if I'm declared bankrupt! ANYTHING FOR YOU CELINE!

Stevo buy from Amazon France like I did!! It's cheap and you get it within a week. Easy stuff.

 

Any why would anyone buy 3 versions? Well for one all 3 editions offer something different in terms of packaging and extras and the whole point of being a collector is to collect. Applying your logic why would anyone ever buy a single as the track is going to be featured on the album anyway?
