Nope, the song isn't nominated. It's just as a tribute, I believe the music was written in the 80's for one of his movies so it wouldn't be eligible today. Most of the people there won't know the song though, it'll be new for them to enjoy. It's gonna be great, I can't wait to see her. I hope she's not on towards the end of the broadcast.

You're far too much focused on this very little one aspect of Céline's. It's not about this little one aspect of being able to belt out and slap ppl in the faces - one should only ask oneself the question how did she conquer the French market without soulless screaming? Ahhh yes, she had essence. Essence she lacks in English badly and compensates the lack of it by overusing her voice. Well, imagine this song has something more to offer than her voice - it's the fabulous music which is as much accentuated as Céline's emotional input. english market doesn't give a DAMN about "essence" but only for looks, sence of who*eness, dance moves and big voice.No wonder why Celine chose the latter to gain the english market...

I must say...Celine is hardly known for her looks or fashion sense. I can think of only rare compliments on her taste(one being from Kelly Ripa). But as long as she looks appropriate, then all anyone will be paying attention to is her voice...and that's all I want them to pay attention to anyway!

 

..oh, and for the record...I think Celine is stunning. I LOVED the era when she first appeared on Deal or No Deal. She looked so...GOOD.

I think Celine has great style most of the time. But when she goes to huge events, it seems to me that's when she doesn't have has much style... Confused. But she was on the list of Top 10 best dressed women around 99 I think (in the US).
