We know how Rene responds to people disrespecting Celine. Personally, I believe that if he were told about Ne-yo's statements then he wouldn't make Celine record anything associated with him. I didn't see or hear anything about this until reading the last prior posts, but I would never work with anyone who has the audacity to tell the public that he's using me just to further his own talents. There's a clear mutual benefit here for both of them as artists, but it's not necessary to voice it in the manner that he did. There's something called professional courtesy and he definitely didn't uphold that. They should kick him to the curb in my opinion. And do we really want Celine recording songs from the same batch as Britney and Whitney?

Celine receives thousands of songs from fans and songwriters each year praying that she will even glance at them. They shouldn't ride the success of this album on him just because of his celebrity or popularity. I guess they're just looking for another hit like her collaboration with R. Kelly.

oh cmon he was just playing along with the interviewers. what was he supposed to do??"protect" Celine?this vibe about Celine has been out since i don't know when.if Celine doesn't like it she and only she can do something about it.Ne-yo (for who i don't care, but i wish he can give a good song to Celine) doesn't have to do anything about it, he doesn't need to get Celine's "non-coolness" all over him.i just hope that all he said was just playing with the interviewers (which seems clear to me that this is the case) and not the way he actually feels about working with her

Shon, you have to consider that Céline would cut her heart out and serve it to you on a silver plate if this would make the world a better place. She is known for her humbleness and extraordinarily grateful attitude towards every single individual that works with her. Considering that I see it very hurteful to Céline when Ne-Yo goes around bringing her down to the level of n artificial product. She's Céline Dion and should be treated accordingly. Especially by newcomers like him.

Downloading the file. Just finished listening to some of Ne-yo's new single and I'm not impressed, I don't want the new English album to be a new One Heart. Why does she have to work with that kind of people who are supposed to be hip and new, that's not for her. The fact that he's been working with Britney, Timberlake and Whitney says it all. I hope she ditches him.

 

Those interviewers are such jerks!!! They talk about Celine like she's the worst singer but they can go on and ask Ne-Yo about Britney like she's... better than C.

No way! talking about me I have nothing against his muisc I was happy about this collaboration. But I didnt like the way he acted that's all. I know Rene thinks about money as well but u cannot say it's all a money thing to be cool with the guys from the radio like you dont care about Celine as an artist. But in this case, it wasn't him...it was the interviewers. They were the ones provoking him and who initiated the whole 'sleep at night' comment. They were the ones insiuating that him writing for her will make him lose his 'cred'. All he said in response was that he does think he can write for her and sleep at night.

 

In general though, from the comments these interviewers made, I think you guys can get the jist of how people would react to her doing an RnB/Hip Hop song.

it's true that the interviewers picked on him tal but his reaction was also rude . commenting that he is there for the money and that he'll write her something that would make him sleep good at night is rude - it means alot regarding how he feels about her career and music . and it's his right ofcours but it's celine's right to know about it too and deciede whether she still wants to work with him

Céline and Rene are already well aware of the fact that they are paying for Ne-Yo's work, as well as they are paying for anybody else's, in this album or any of the previous ones, english or french -for which Céline never wrote a song- and I'm quite confident that they are both mature enough not to go and get upset about a hot shot newcomer saying "I'm getting paid" since they are using him just as much -or more- than he's using them.

It was the anchors being aggresive towards Céline, he just reacted while trying to keep the flow of the interview going... maybe the future will prove me wrong and he'll seriously disrespect Céline one day, but for what I've heard, he's ok in my book. Oh and that song/s better be damn good.

Ne yo just finished performing on the view and Celine's name was mentioned first in a string of names: Celine, Britney,Whitney, .... said Kathie Griffin. so its all over the industry that Celine is working with him. so i dont think she can back out now.. or at least its bringing her good publicity.. anyways Kathie Griffin then said: Whitney, Michael jackson ... thats a weird list or something like that... They re-confirm this morning on The View that he's writting for Celine, Whitney, Britney and maybe MJ

On an artistic way, i would love hear a track from him sing by Celine, it can be great.. And i don't really know what to say about the radio interview, i think it was a joke..

He can be writing and producing for Celine all he likes but if he keeps this attitude up he'll find it will be the last time or he may well find his tracks don't make it onto the album.

All I can say is... If I can write for Celine, I'd sleep well TOO!

I say he clearly means that if he gives her songs he can sleep at night knowing that they are in safe hands. Britney e.g is a worry. I would sleep well at night knowing that Celine was singing my songs. If I gave a song to Britney i'd be on edge, a bit stressed cos it could go either way.

i wonder what tape you listened to he clearly was dissing Celine saying that he could sleep at night because of all the $$$$$$ he would be making. it's funny how you never mentioned about the $$$$$ money

 

 

if you guys really wanna make an impact what we should do is to email NE-YO's publicist or management saying that we didn't appreciate his diss towards Celine and send them the audio file.. When they catch wind of this they will be sure to let him know about it and then we will be sure to see a change in attitude in his upcoming interviews..
