i know ill only perpetuate my hater status here but im with the others on the goaty comment. there are a few places where she does that goaty thing. when she sings 'tiiiiime' and 'staaaaar'....its sung rather harshly in the back of the throat, plus the vibrato...it sounds a bit Shakira-ish. but she's been doing that on most of her songs when she needs to sing quietly evern since ANDHC. it was the worst in the miracle album though.

 

doesnt mean the song isnt pretty, because it is. and she probably only sounds like this in the beginning.

Yeah I ain't saying either the song sucks, coz the music is breathtaking, and her other voice-parts will be fine, no doubt. I just don't like the soft parts.

Its not intended and its not strained. Its just where her voice is going these days because of the natural effects that happen to your voice after singing your entire life. This goat thing isnt new. You and I have discussed it many times in the past and you've heard it or agreed with me past times we've talked about it.

It's incredible there are still people here who find ways of complaining under a flawless one minute song.

 

THIS is the Céline I love, this is the kind of music I want her to sing. This is the Céline I prefer in comparaison with an r'n'b' Céline.

As nitpicky as commenting on how she perfectly pronounced "would" in the first minute of this song. . . ? We're both just listening and analyzing the vocal.

 

To me, it really bothers me. I hate that about her voice and whenever she does it I cringe. TLS is a really good example of it and I think it ruins a song. LYHD is even worse!
