alright so as u all know i didnt want to comment on the song before hearing the full version , but after hearing it few times since yesterday i've gotta say - her voice is annoying , the way she sings "time" - it's so annoying i cant really hear it

she should sing it on a higher key for her live performance just like when she sang "miracle" on ellen on a higher key and sounded amazing .

on the FIY album her low register was amazing and diffrent , now it sounds broken and raw - she cant end the notes right just like when she sang summertime...it sounds like she has flu or something .

 

i really hope the rest of the song would sound much better cause as for now - i prefer the music without her voice

The music seems wonderful and the song will be certainly a beautiful celine "another " song..

Now i think the song is not really new..it was certainly made with miracle album...and i thought celine will comeback with a real new sound ,with a new team ...a surprise project  like ,i dont know, coldplay rock sond..

I think celine is used to do normal classic things now,shes maybe scared to do innovate songs ,to lost her fans (well few stars can do that.madonna for example)....

well i hope someday maybe ...

At first I thought it's a very slow song, but after listening to it lots of times more I got used to it and found it beautiful! Maybe it's not the song everyone falls in love at the first they listen to it, but for sure after they've heard it for some times...

I adore the music thus far. Her voice sounds very nice....not quite a smooth as I was expecting, but I'm still happy of course! I cannot wait to see this at the Oscars...I'm sure it has a wonderful climax.

I am really excited about this song. I don't think anyone can really critique this song after listening to a 1 minute clip of which Celine is singing less than a minute on the clip. When we hear the entire song, then I will be happy to read logical feedback and critiques about this song.

It's really weird to see how everyone loved this song at first when it's posted. Then some people started bashing it and her voice, and some others changed their mind completely and join the bashing.

 

I'd say you can't judge her voice from a low quality stream media from internet, same to the bootlegs. Try record your own song and encode it into 16kbps wma or mp3. I bet you'd sound much worse than a goat.

Hehe. This is funny. Shakira is a goat....Celine is merely trying to sing in a different style I believe- there's nothing wrong with her voice whatsoever. Look at If I ruled the World...not a hint of a goat and everyone was declaring Celine from 1997 was back. There's only one Celine and she'll sing however she wants. To say that her voice is reminiscent of Shakirsa's is a complete insult.

I love Celine's voice on this extract and it's clearly the way she wants to sing.I don't think it's an insult to compare Celine's voice to Shakira's because Shakira has one of the greatest voices out there, but I can't seem to find any resemblance between these two singers.

Funny nobody mentioned it yet but I hear Barbra Streisand on this track all over which is of course not bad, bt Céline is heavily relying on her vocal mannerisms throuighout the excerpt. Considering Quincy worked with Barbra before he knew surely what to expect from Céline. And while Barbra takes greater care of her voice and doesn't tour half as much as Céline she's fine vocally even if she's like 60 or more already!

I think it's cool that she worked with Quincy Jones. I would think he would be a great producer for Celine. I'm wondering if he's producing any or all of the songs on her English album. Has anyone heard who is supposed to be producing that album?
