After listening to this i can imagine a GOOD RnB album WITH Quincy Jones's necessary involvement...cause that's how its gonna be "Dance with my father" -ish which i love and not "Bored Stranger in my house" -ish (what a boring song)

There are countless examples when she didn't hit these needless power notes and she sounded amazing & moved her fans and the audience. The point is if she screamed you wouldn't even think of trashing it. She shows off her most vulnerable side and she does it very well. It's called emotion, soul, phrasings, interpretation. She's got her own and will do magnificently at the Oscar gala.

i agree she can sing wiht emotion and be top notch vocally.i don't like her voice much here and it has nothing to do with what kind of note she sings (powerfull or not long or not), its the "miracle" way she sings that i don't like much.but this is also a low audio quality (250kb) file

parts like the soft notes (who sound quit harsh coz of her goat/miracle voice) made me thinking way back then when 1F4T came out if I'd still be a fan of her music, coz I didn't like it. But now I actually love 1F4T... but totally hated Miracle-voice, apart from the title song itself, so we'll see this time how far she'll bring it, how the rest is.

 

But like ISSW, she sounded too goaty for words on the album, she nailed it on that Leno show! Why not on the album?
