Yet, I'm not convinced that it is the same song. If Delta co-wrote the song, then surely the Australian media would've talked about the fact that an Australian superstar wrote a song for an Australian newcomer. Somehow I think (hope) it's not the same song.

Hey Loup, thanx for the comment. Actually, one of the listeners who had a preview of Celine's new album said that "Eyes On Me" was produced by Timbaland, and since Samantha said in an interview that it's a song that's fast paced and shows her vocal abilities, it made perfect sense to me that it's the one I'm talking about. Maybe I'm wrong, but there's a strong possibility that I'm right too. Keep writing

 

Still there's a strong chance as all the covers we already have found on the album and the fact that suddenly this newcomer changes a song from Timbaland called "eyes on me" wich was supposed to be her first single to a whole different track

Another rumor started from here, and came back in another way.

Seems Eyes on Me ISN'T produced by Timbaland, according to a member from Delta Goodrem forum:

 

"eyes on me" will also be on aussie jive singers album samantha jade she also has a track called "Eyes on me" it was produced by Timbaland celines was not produced by timbaland contray too most thoughts only Samantha Jades version is

And it will be Céline's first album in the US on Columbia, not Epic.

It's just another division/sublabel of Sony.... previously it has always been Epic (while we in Europa got Columbia).. now it's Columbia in the US too

I'm afraid there will be huge difference. The new Céline album will require squared CD-players as Columbia is pressing solely squared CDs. So be prepared to buy a squared CD-player, mirage and also a star shaped one too for the:

Epic Records and Columbia Records are both companies under the SonyBMG music empire. It's just that this time, Columbia will be handling this record release, distribution, promotion, and financial records for territory of United States. Different contracts with local and regionalized company headquarters must be assessed for a certain record or album, in order for it to be released within that certain area.

She will have a completely different promotion staff.

 

Her previous albums were on Epic for North America and on Columbia for Europe.
