Britney's new album is scheduled to be released on November 13th, too. SHE will get all the attentions from Sony BMG in this period.

Though I'm glad they're not both on Columbia (Britney's on Jive), so I hope they can split the attention/etc.

britney has apparently two good songs on her whole ''entire album'', and has no buzz what so ever surrounding it, and to be honest i think she has lost alot of fans and respect over the past year and a bit, so don't give it another thought...

I just can't stand that idea, if its going to be reality . Céline Dion is the long-awaited artist to come back in english, not the stupid Britney. I could respect Whitney Houston or Madonna but not Britney.

But yes, we all know how the media works and its helpless.

 

If only Britney had done all the good things Céline has done since her las english album in 2003... . She doesn't deserve any massive atention because she ruined herself.

I never seen anything like it And not to be selfish here but I wish Celine would be the only big artist to release something that week. I want to see her album at #1 in this country and I dont know if that will happen when she's competing with Madge, Whitney, etc.

I can't believe how many female artists are releasing albums this November!! I never seen anything like it And not to be selfish here but I wish Celine would be the only big artist to release something that week. I want to see her album at #1 in this country and I dont know if that will happen when she's competing with Madge, Whitney, etc.

 

Well on the other side it would be cool to see Céline win from Britney, or any other female artist for that matter. In the case of Britney, they both have a different target group, so who knows.. Hopefully this is a wake-up call they really need to promote the heck out of this!

Yeah. I don't fear Whitney's (try to) come back, but Madonna, Mariah and Britney! Huuummm... I don't think Celine has any chance to be #1.

Well, if 'no promotion' means a performance at MTV VMAs, I wish Céline had 'no promotion', too.

 

Too bad this time Céline won't get #1. Britney is not an easy artist to oversell, even with the hardest and widest promotion ever.

 

But I don't care about sales: the quality of "Taking Chances" will be 1.000.000 times better than any album from Britney.

Oh really? She delayed again? Well, Céline last album sold 422K in the first week in the US and got 1/100 of Alicia's promotion. Imagine what she will do now with the proper promotion. So Alicia is not a problem. Plus, in Europe she's not that big seller.

I think we should not worry about Céline's sales as nobody will steal any copies from her. These artists have their own fan bases and ppl will buy the albums they like according to their tastes. Céline is now a household name and I'm sure she will top Miracle's sales anyway so no need to worry.

well, what i really lothe is that i wake up this morning and a very popular radio station in Florida is blasting Britney's new song..actually two..and they're just laughing and loving Britney's new songs...which are trash by the way. they were the same dj's that were hyping Celine's new album saying 'wait for her new ''hip-hop'' album in stores november blah blah blah'...man such hypocrites!!! i just want Brit-ney to end!!!!!
