What's Better Columbia or Epic

Hey... i dunno bout u guys in the states... but here in south east asia, she's been with columbia for a few albums already.. one heart TAST and ANDLILV were all on columbia...

Oh Boy, here we go again with the different packaging and no clear explanation of the differences. I just adore Sony soooo much With D'elles you had different versions and Sony wasn't clear as to the inclusions on

the different packages and different sites listed them differenly which made it all too confusing for the fans. Let's hope this one is handled better & more clearly. Also, I'm hoping they put some decent stuff on that little dvd to make it worth the extra money. What's with that "Expanded Special Packaging" too - will it only be some post cards like D'elles too?? I don't mind them releasing different versions but at least put some decent stuff on there that makes it work the extra money - do it for the fans! Treat us right Sony!

Well Sony USA has nothing listed for Celine. If you go to their site for upcoming releases they show releases for Feb & March 2007!! Nice to see they're up to date with their info. They don't mention anything about a new cd from Celine. I went to the Columbia Records AND Epic Records sites and they don't list Celine at all. I went to the Sony Store and they only list TAST re-release for Oct 2nd but nothing of Taking Chances. I went to the Sony USA site for Celine and it hasn't been updated at all, they still have the picture from the "Miracle" cd on the site and there is NO mention of Taking Chances.

 

This may be because there is no art work/cover for the new cd BUT they should at least mention the new cd on her Sony site. I'm sure fans that don't know of the Forum check that site because it's from Sony and would expect to hear about an upcoming release. I know it's still 2 1/2 months away but they need to create some anticipation from the general public. I sure hope she is still a priority over there and I hope that the switch to the Columbia branch is a good thing.

I can't say I'm surprised about 3 different editions. I was expecting something like D'elles again. If it's gonna be similar packaging I'll just go for cd+dvd digipack cause honestly, I don't like that D'elles collector's box at all. It looks cheap with that outer white box and couple of postcards and sample of her perfume isn't really that special to me. Now, if there would be some extra songs this time...but we know better by now so...we know that ain't gonna happen. Still, it doesn't matter, I can't wait 'till November. Maybe they'll even release proper single this time and not just digital download .

Probably yes, I expect it on November 8th or 9th, because the stores used to have all the news added on Friday to their magazines. One way or another probably I'm going on Friday to get my copy

 

I hope all 3 edition will be released at the same time, not as it was with "D'elles" album...

well no one is forcing you to buy them all!! I'm happy with these releases, I think they did a great job with D'elles... only of course the dvd was too short, the clip of ESNRQ wasn't on it and no subtitles but you can't expect everything being 100% oke from Sony

 

And most of all I think it's good that these releases are on the same day, and not 6 months after the normal release, when most fans and 'normal' people already bought the album and then all of a sudden there's a cd + dvd version for only 3 euros more (like ANDHC ahum ahum )

Why do you guys keep whining about the different versions? One could think that a Céline fan only whines for the cause of whining .

 

I think it is very fine with special editions. And I am so greatful honestly that SONY is playing with all cards on the table this time (as with D'elles) so we won't be fooled into buying numerous versions of the album as with ONCP (when they released the different versions different dates and not telling us there'd be more versions).

 

It's fair of them to say now here we have three editions, choose which one you want to buy. And some of you comlain and want them to release the album then say six months later they're gonna release another ed than later another edition and fooling some to buy all three editions... I can't see why you wanna get fooled? (but I don't see why people want the Live In Memphis DVD or the TAST "special" ed either... )
