it's the deluxe edition version...

if you already have the album on your library, delete it and save again the dolby atmos version

live a Paris. That's the only song in Dolby Atmos. Would recommend listening if you can. IYAMT is amazing also, and I think in some ways better than the original. The vocals aren't so buried into the instrumental.

Wow Fade Away has a few glitches in dolby atmos

 

And the song sounds weaker overall

yes... nothing special about it...

but the version from the soundtrack album has a little difference in the instrumental part... and the last vocal by Celine is extended til the end of the song, like the SACD version... while the self title it's just the normal version...

Interestingly enough, the standard version of Taking Chances is gone on US Spotify now. Only the 2 deluxe versions (one with and one without Immensité) are left.

After all these years, I’m still wondering why they don’t release “The Reason I Go On” on streaming platforms… It was a bonus track for the Japanese edition of the album, right?

 

I just don’t get why other exclusive bonus tracks from Japan are available (Open Arms, Soul) but not this one.

OHHHHHH!! This is interesting/weird!! On the European Spotify only the deluxe version with Immensité, Map To My Heart and the iSoul(less) remix was available. (Not the regular album). I made a screenshot of it, last Friday but I just checked again now, and now Immensité is deleted from it! WTF are they doing?

The Reason I Go On is such a lovely song! Classic Celine. Should have been on the album instead of RNTTRO or something. Just like Let Me Be Your Soldier and MTMH.

My god, I was reading the lyrics to My Love again and it literally reads as a biography of the past 17 years and the Céline we see in the doc.. It has such a different meaning to me now, especially when I think the "my love" is us the audience. I mean read it again and tell me you don't get chills from what we know and seen.

 

Linda Perry is a genius, more than she might already know.

from the other times Dolby Atmos albums were released before, generally it was 6 or 7 albums together in a row.... and now that there are only 6 albums left for release, I think we will finally have all of her discography very soon

It's always weird to me to see the album on the streaming platforms with The Reason I Go On missing. I remember I bought the Japanese version of Taking Chances in 2007 and The Reason I Go On is such an important part of the album.

 

As is Let Me Be Your Soldier to me, which in my library is the 19th song on the album. I know it was released with My Love, but it was a song meant for Taking Chances, and having it as the final song just makes so much sense.

 

(I also have it on My Love as There Comes A Time, but I remember we all knew the song was originally called "Let Me Be Your Soldier" from the Taking Chances album preview before the release of the album.)

Sat down and listened to this album from start to finish. It still holds up. Truly one of her best albums. The production and her vocals are 10/10.

 

For me, it would be a perfect no-skip album were it not for "A Song For You" - to me, it's the odd one out in the tracklist.
