Teodora Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:14 AM Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:14 AM (edited) Just a quick comment about Kara, cause I started it It has nothing to do with being professional. I heard David Foster pick on Celine, I heard JJ Goldman pick on Celine, to name just the best known ones. It's not bothered that she was asking Celine to sing in a different way, it's the way she did it.... and there was nothing different. Again, I have to say this: Celine has perfect pitch. When she says she doesn't hear the difference, I believe her, because that's what perfect pitch brings: the ability to hear any damn change. And I also got the feeling Celine wasn't quite feeling the song. Kara said it was a cover, I guess that's a cover after her, like Taking Chances, so maybe that's why she was demanding. I don't people being demanding, I mind people talking down at the other people they work with, especially when that person has a freakin' perfect pitch! And I noticed too, the guy near Kara, kindda backing down, looking down... Anyway, that song better be freaking amazing. Edited September 26, 2007 at 10:15 AM by Teodora Quote
stevo Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:25 AM Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:25 AM (edited) Kara pissed me off too to be honest- yes she wanted the best out of Celine but it seemed she wanted to tell Celine every anonciation on every word and Celine did seem peeved off. You're right about the guy beside her looking uncomfortable. And the way Celine hugged her at the end suggested she was thinking "me no likey". Oh well. That song is gonna sound amazing, I just wished we had some Celine magic instead of it being directed. WORLD TO BELIEVE IN is so far my favourite on the album. I cried and totally had a Celine moment- watching her record that on the Celine background I have on my PC drinkin my morning coffee out of my Celin emug. Sounds sad and obsessive but I fell in love again. I'm deoted to her 100%. These coming months are going to be so much fun. AND!!!!! Last night my boyfriend rang me to say he had sent me an email about Celine- this was surprising since he doesn't really get my obsession (but obviously is forced to listen to her) so I ran down to check my emails and the title said 'Celine in the old days'- so I opened it and there was a Flight Confirmation for Virgin Atlantic Flights to New York for my birthday!!! We're going for a week in November! I can't believe it!! Thanksgiving in NYC!!! I've never been before. I loe him so so so much.Sorry for the off-topic but I thought I'd share my hapy news with my Celine friends!!! maybe she'll be promoting there that week!!!!lol Edited September 26, 2007 at 10:27 AM by stevo Quote
firebird Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:30 AM Posted September 26, 2007 at 10:30 AM Now I'm through the whole making-of. It's great to hear the songs in their raw version. I think it's great she's working with people like Kara DiGuardio. She needs people who work with her not for her. It's not about Kara being demanding or trying to protect "her" song, it's more about putting up a challenge for Celine. Don't be content with what you get, always ask for that little bit more. And Celine can handle it. Put her together with the right people and she'll deliver I have to say I'm quite anxious about the "afterwork" for Song For You they're talking about. I hope they won't do too much. The in-studio version (piano/voix) is like an ultimate version. The string version at the end is just like another nice song. It does nothing for me. So I'm glad we got to hear the piano version here Quote

So I listened and watched the song and I have to say this is going to be simply amazing I mean there will be favortites on the album like some people don't like Eyes on Me which I like very much and I personally have to that's just the woman in me and suprise suprise. But LVCeline can confirm us in comparison to the studio version if they added some violins or orchestra...And if it is quite discrete or not.? Quote

It's just like the piano version is so "chair de poule" ) that next to it, everything else is just good. shasti Posted September 26, 2007 at 11:51 AM Posted September 26, 2007 at 11:51 AM Who is that new dude who's there...? Where's Humberto? This album has a much diffrent fell to it... not the songs... but the way thier recorded... its as if Gatica always made Celine sound crystal... and now whoever this dude is.. the sound is so raw... i dunno if this is good... we'd have to wait for the HQ version.... But i do like those polished finishes... this seems a lil indie... ahah S Quote
fred Posted September 26, 2007 at 11:57 AM Posted September 26, 2007 at 11:57 AM I really like to see that cocky Céline when recording World To Believe In and the guy with a French name says she has to sing it lower or something and she says: "Tell me WHY?!". And even though the lyrics seem to suck on Eyes On Me I am still quite exited about hearing it in full and in HQ. I am very glad I haven't discovered any great disapointments or really bad songs, which even D'Elles have. However I am still a bit questioning to World To Believe In. When first heard the title I knew it would be too sugar sweet. And when hearing the recording session my fears got confirmed. World To Believe In is nothing new and way too sappy and shallow and too pretentious and goodygoody. If I had my way that track wouldn't make it to the album. And thanks Ronny for the tracklist! I am extremely relieved to see that Right Next To The Right One is back on the album. That is the song I am most exited to hear at the moment. I must be the only one who still isn't totally sold on Alone, I can't see that difference they are talking about. But it's fine I guess, it is growing on me. The music box is a huge plus though, like it when there is more mystious feeling to a Céline track. /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
stevo Posted September 26, 2007 at 12:00 PM Posted September 26, 2007 at 12:00 PM (edited) It's the music box that separates it from the original and made it original all over again. I love Heart's version but Celine's sounds very new to me. P.s if you play the vid with AC3 audio player you can skip forward which I can't do with the VLC player Pp.s I love in Eyes On Me when she goes "how long?"- in other words I can hold a note longer than you can ever imagine. tcherno Posted September 26, 2007 at 12:23 PM Posted September 26, 2007 at 12:23 PM (edited) well, about kara i think she was demanding a lot from celine to make a good track.the guy next to her was looking down cause maybe they stayed a lot in the studio for just one song, maybe she is perfectionist. if this is kara's attitude with all artists, well, i think this is Kara.at the end of the part of Surprise Surprise, Before Kara said, you'll thank me later (or something like that), she said "i know we killed you but you will thank me later"... so guys you missed that part. -- Kara knows about her attitude but she wants the track to be perfect & this is for celine's best interest. Eyes On Me seems great. i love the music, it should be released as a single. maybe sony will release it in europe & asia and in USA, they will release a different song like they did in 2003 with One Heart & Have You Ever Been In Love.i can imagine form now, eyes on me video, with celine dancing with a group of girls in the street facing another group of boys... it's confrontation. The song is better than I'm Alive About the tracklist, well, great 16 tracks. with ben moody,Kara, Ne-Yo & that team that did Umbrella.... i think we will have a lot of singles & videos from this album. PS: Celine Dion on perezhilton.comthe news title is: Celine Gets Moody (Literally)he posted the youtube video with celine dion working with ben moody on ALONE Edited September 26, 2007 at 12:37 PM by tcherno Quote
