first of all... whoever says/said or is saying that Céline has lost her voice.... EAT THIS!!!!

 

WONDERFUL! JUST WONDERFUL!! I can't believe I've already heard songs that are going to be on the album!!

 

Alone.... wow! I must confess... I don't really know the orginal, but it sounded so amazing! Especially the outro at the end!!

 

Eyes on Me... first of all I didn't think of Shakira, Boyonce etc... but of Alanis Morissette!! the ~~~~~~~~~waving vocals she maked really remind me of the Jagged Little Pill Alanis!

 

Song for you... well I think this is going to be the most emotional song of the album! I can't wait to hear the full orchestra version!!

 

Surprise, Suprise... I think that might be the biggest suprise of the album! And definatly a single candidate!! WOW Kara really made her work! I love Céline's comment I really love to hate her! Hahaha

 

World to believe in... It's kinda like her 'old' stuff... but it still sounds so amazing! Céline was soooooo funny with her 'fart'' jokes!!!

 

I think this is gonna be her best album in English to date!!! She said in For Keeps; the best is yet to come, she said it again here... but I think this album is one of the best things that will come!!

 

And we learned (what of course we already knew) technology is not capable to capture Céline's voice to the fullest!! )

 

Now I'm not going to see this again till I have the album in my hands!!!

IF the right singles will be released and some Promo will be done this album will be a HIT. IF!! At first the fans buy the album and then the general public will hear the new Céline via Singles and Tv appereances and most certainly start to love her and then some of them will buy the album. This could be a very exciting year.....

BTW, I think critics will like the album too....

I finally got to listen to most of Suprise Suprise and I'm really liking it!! I dont think it sounds anything like Us, so dont get your hopes up people, lol.

 

The video cut off halfway through Suprise Suprise though.

All the songs are great. Alone is out of this world. I think I gotta get used to A Song For You... I mean... It's a beautiful song, but, it hasn't touched my heart yet... I mean... The way that it should've done... That's Just The Woman In Me is something different, but, it's still wonderful anyway. Surprise, Surprise and A World To Believe In are very good; they really touched my heart... Eyes On Me is awesome, something very different... BUT, I LOVED it. Broadly speaking, Alone is the best song... Among all of them, Alone is the greatest one...

awwww i LOVE IT lol ALONE made me cry, its soo good and the song i've been most anxious to hear as i LOVE the original

 

EYES ON ME i have to go agains the crowd and say i really like, its so Bollywood, i think its a really cool fresh track to listen to!

 

this album is gonna rock, can anyone else smell............... GRAMMY to bad the record will probably be released to late for this years cut off date but if the album keeps its momentum helped by the tour etc i think it could do really well!

Taking Chances may really be her best English-Language album ever... Those are wonderful songs... And we haven't listened to all of them yet.

From what we can hear on this video, "That's Just the Woman in Me" and "Song for You" are the ones I'm really looking forward to. The first one blew me away. I could not believe my ears. She's never done a song with that kind of voice, I just loved it. So Janis Joplin at times, but still sooooo Celine. I think "Song for You" should be left like that, just Celine's voice and the piano, it's just magical, I'm afraid a big orchestra would spoil it.

"Surprise Surprise": sounds nice, but I really think Kara was making Celine record a billion takes just to make herself look important. Celine's got a perfect pitch, it's impossible for her not to notice the changes in a sound, a song. But she does have 100% trust in the people she works with so she would never question anything. Not to be mean, but Celine is right: Kara writes, produces, she can sing really well, she's good looking. And she tried to get a singing career and didn't succeed... Maybe I'm just crazy, and you may not agree with me, but I definitely sensed a little envy from Kara's part when she was making Celine sing the same part a billion times, for no reason. Not to mention, from all those producers with much more background and hits and experience behind them, Kara was the only one to comment on Celine's singing and make her feel like she's not hearing right and not performing right. But the song is good, and that's the most important thing. Again, I have nothing against the woman, it's just the feeling I get from watching her interacting with Celine on this video, that she had some frustrations she had to let out on Celine. And when she said "You'll thank me later" at the end, well, that just pissed me off. I mean most producers tell Celine to sing like that, or sing the other way etc... but I thought Kara did it in a disrespectful way, like she was better than Celine or something.

Did you hear that guy telling Celine to calm her voice down a bit, cause there are frequencies damaging the equipment or was not really able to record? That was hilarious!

I love how Celine's voice just gets better and better and better every time she makes an album.

And that opera-like singing with Ben Moody on the piano...That was just crazy! She was just fooling around and sounded amazing, can you imagine what an unbelievable opera singer Celine could be if she was serious about it?? I really hope one day she'll record some opera, the real thing.

"World to Believe In": it sounds amazing, but I agree with people above, it may be a little too 90s. But it is quite catchy. Hope they won't release it as second single though Actually, I didn't hear a possible second single on this video, maybe there's one on the other X number of songs we haven't heard. So far, it looks like a single-less album, cause "Taking Chances" is not much a single either. The album will be amazing, and no one can say she's commercial anymore, cause there's no freakin' single on the album

"Alone": I always liked the song, I was just never really crazy about it... I need to hear it on the album to really see if it gets me in Celine's interpretation. Like always, her voice is amazing.

"Eyes on Me" sounds really nice, but not as fast as I thought it would be. Taking up on what Celine was saying about Shakira... Ya, maybe like a Shakira ballad...

The only thing that disappointed me a bit: the lyrics. I really thought they'd be deeper for this album, better lyrics than her previous English albums, closer to her French. I mean "Taking Chances" has really nice lyrics, so I expected the other songs to be even better. But lyrics-wise, English writers just don't seem to be able to come near the French ones.

Ok, maybe another thing: I absolutely adore everything Celine does, but she - and everybody working with her - shouldn't be thinking about doing something that's "edgier for Celine" (aka "not edgier for anybody else, but for her, cause people know her doing ballads, it is"). They should be thinking about doing something edgier, and that's it. Again, I have to come to her French music. When she's doing French albums she's doing things no one has done before her. She should apply the same technique in doing English albums. I love her English albums as much as her French, I think she's the best in both, but she even better in French. She's the best in English and the best in French, but her French music is even better... Am I making sense to you, 'cause it's late and this is a looooooong reply
