It might have indeed been that the RNB part of the album eith timbaland, R.Kelly, Neyo, Umbrella, J.Fox and Babyface has been largely neglected during the Vegas preview.

 

Considering Shon's review I would definitely give up "Soldier", "My Love" and "Alone" in favour of high quality RNB tracks from the above mentioned writers/producers. These three need to go now to make some space for lucious spicy RNB-driven ballads or club songs (also RNB).

Journalists were invited to Sony studios on Monday in NYC. They only heard a few songs and were told Celine had yet to record a Ne-Yo song and that's why they couldn't listen to it.

 

Apparently, they only heard : This time, That's just the woman in me, Taking chances, Eyes on me, Alone, a song or you.

It's evident they want to get Celine back on he top 40 charts.

 

and do u think it's possible with a song like TC?

yeah..apparently the swedish producer(s) (Lundin/Bagge/Astrom) asked Linda to play on the album.

Absolutely agree with what you say Andre. Make no mistake, the point of this album (in Sony's eyes) is to get Celine back into the Top 40 charts and they are going to do what they can to get her there. If that means releasing another single before the album is released then they will do it.

 

But seriously no-one should be worrying yet. Taking Chances has only just reached radio. Give it time. It's a fabulous song.

I'm not an expert in danish (even though it's SO much easier to understand when it's written lol) but anyway, better than nothing until someone else can make a better translation...

 

New album from Celine Dion

Exclusive viodeclip with the first single

 

The new english album from Celine Dion (one of the worlds best selling female artists) is to be released in november, the title of the upcoming album is 'Taking Chances'.

 

According to the rumours we can except something we've never heard from the canadian diva before.

 

The album contains more than one rock influenced track, where Celine has had help from people like Ben Moody(Evanescence), Scott ”Skippy” Chapman (Code Of Ethics) & Micheal Tait.

 

A piano ballad written by Robert Wells & Anders Bagge (Murlyn crew… Madonna, Lopez, Enrique, Santana mm.) has also been given a place on the album.

 

Names like Timbaland, Ne-Yo, R.Kelly, Baby Face and more are also (something I don't understand, but "included on the album") and Celine has had time to record a song with Annie Lennox for her next album, ”Songs Of Mass Distruction”.

 

'Taking Chances' is written by Kara DioGuardi and Dave Stewart from Eurythmics, and produced by John Shanks.

 

(Can't really translate this part in a way you'll understand lol, but the song (TC) will be a hit, and Celine is back in an awesome pop/rock production that brings out her strong vocals).

 

It'll air (on radio) on monday, sep 17th.

Exactly. This will definitely be a mix of Rock and R&B songs... anything that's being played on US radio Top 40 mainstream radio staions. It's evident they want to get Celine back on he top 40 charts.

 

What is weird is all the mystery around the possible urban aspect of the album, as even recently they only presented the pop rock side to journalists.

 

 

i think sony bmg & celine team count on those songs & think they r great thats why they didnt add them to the preview nor let the journalist listening to them.

we can be sure that, without the announcement of the track listing, we might see some new songs added with that flavour of RnB (ne-yo, timbaland...)

 

that mystery around the album makes us so much anticipated to the release as well as for the media

1 TC 2 to love you more nothing special! but i think it's only for the japanese version

That Shania video was some good promo for Celine's album! I love Shania- it's clear she really respects Celine- she couldn't sing any of her songs cos Celine performs them so theatrically and big. Awww!
