Britney's album was gonna flop anyway, there's no stop to Céline's comeback! I am worried about Alicia Key's getting nº1 that week though! but taking chances is better hit material than whatever alicia keys did on the vmas cause I no longer remember that song!

Taking Chances is certainly a radio friendly, pop song. It's catchy, and very well done and AMAZINGLY sung. She really surprised me with her vocals. I always expect amazing things from Celine, but after all the bootlegs and the Miracle album, I just thought it wouldn't be as top shape as it is.

 

Anyway, but as radio friendly as the song is....she is still Celine. All stations aren't going to be in a hurry to play the song. But, luckily, I've read a lot of positive comments about the song that people who don't like Celine have made. And that's the best thing we could've asked for. Just a damn good song.

 

So, this really will be a comeback for her in the English speaking areas. YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

So, writing and playing all of the songs on Evanescence's debut wasn't lame enough.

 

Writing songs for Avril Lavigne wasn't lame enough. Remarkably, writing tunes for Passion of the Christ: Songs wasn't even lame enough for Ben Moody and David Hodges. Now, the duo's penned a track for Celine Dion. Moody and Hodges probably won't reclaim any of that long-gone credibility kicking it with Dion, though the duo wrote and produced a song, "This Time" on her upcoming Taking Chances album. It arrives in stores Nov. 13 from Columbia Records, just in time for you to get it as a holiday gift for your mom.

US Stars Set To Clash

In a clash of the hairspray (or not, in Britney's case), four of the world's biggest stars are set to do a Kanye/ 50 Cent style clash when they release their albums in November.

 

Mary and Mariah will both release records on November 20. Mary's has the working title of Growing Pains, while I read the title of Mariah's somewhere and it was called something very long and crazy. The name escapes me, and despite attempting to Google it, I can't find it. So we'll have to wait, I guess.

 

Meanwhile, in the same month, Britney Spears will attempt her comeback against pop powerhouse Celine Dion. The way things are going with Britter's, my dough is on Dion right now. Spears' latest single is slipping fast down the radio charts.

 

As we've seen, big artists releasing together is no bad thing. I hope MJB and Mimi sell the same and take that top spot together!

Considering Céline's got absolutely no promotion from her record company it's not looking good BUT she will be fine anyway since the AC stations don'T seem to have abandoned her at all. Let's see how the situation looks like now. She needs a hit song and Oprah to come back huge.

Well when she is off in November she will do a huge amount of promotion - print, tv, radio, interviews, etc. It's more imporant that she does that stuff just as the cd is released. Right now though we have to be patient, we

are all calling & email radio all over the place and that is helping. She's got some really good buzz going on right now - Brittney has BAD buzz and Mariah has none. Once the single is released it will hit the Billboard charts and blow ole Britney and Mariah away.
