Celine Dion debuts new single, 'Taking Chances' ... new Album and Worldwide tour, to come!

 

TORONTO, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Columbia Records is proud to announce the

release of "Taking Chances", the first single from Celine Dion's forthcoming

album, also entitled Taking Chances. The song, written by Kara DioGuardi and

the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, and produced by John Shanks, marks the beginning

of a new era in Celine's extraordinary career.

 

A few months from now, on December 15th, 2007, Celine will take her final

bows on the Colosseum stage at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, where she has

enjoyed a record-breaking five-year run of sold-out performances and critical

acclaim, with her spectacular show, A New Day... The show has been documented

in a deluxe High-Definition DVD, which will be released later this year by

Sony BMG Music worldwide. "These past five years have been a wonderful

experience for me", says Celine. "To perform every night with such an amazing

cast of dancers and musicians on this beautiful show created by Franco

Dragone, has been a dream come true. The fans have been so incredibly

supportive, coming to see us every night, year after year...it will be

difficult to say goodbye, but I'm also ready for the next adventure...I'm

On November 13th, 2007 Celine will release "Taking Chances", her first

English studio album in over 3 years, and shortly thereafter, tickets will go

on sale for her first worldwide tour in 10 years. Celine, who is the biggest

selling female artist of all time, selling over 180 million albums, opens her

tour on February 14th, 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa giving a benefit

concert for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. She does another 7 shows in

South Africa during the month of February, contributing additional proceeds

from these shows to Mr. Mandela's Children's Fund. From South Africa the tour

makes stops in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Europe and

North America, playing both stadiums and arenas throughout. The year-long tour

will visit 5 continents, over 25 countries, and more than 100 cities.

What I find pity is that they don't give ANY details whatsoever about the album. Just a general release but it's still good.

She said it was all positive reaction except that they weren't sure it was really her, which was why it said MYSTERY ARTIST...they said she sounds a little different. So I talked to the girl for a little while and directed her to AMAZON.COM where the video is, and showed her that it really was Celine singing. So there was POSITIVE REACTION on Z100..that's FANTASTIC!!! I think we have a surefire it here guys!!!
