VinnyT. Posted July 6, 2007 at 10:02 AM Posted July 6, 2007 at 10:02 AM Ecco chi è Robert Wells: Robert Wells pianist, singer and composer.Robert Wells is a world famous pianist, entertainer, singer and composer. His music is a mix of styles, a rhapsody, including rock’ n roll, boogie-woogie and classical masterpieces. Wells performs equally well as a soloist as a part of a rock group. On stage Wells’ rock group often meets a full symphony orchestra with exciting results. Robert Wells has toured the world with his show “Rhapsody in Rock” for more than 12 years. Always together with his band,Roine Johanson and Anders Olausson. With different conductors and symphony orchestras.Wells is one of the most cherished artists in Scandinavia and countries like Germany, Russia, Spain, the U.S., Japan and China. Wells will return to China for the sixth time in October 2002 to perform at stadiums in front of capacity crowds. In June 2002 Wells toured the U.S., China and Japan. He also toured Scandinavia earlier this year with the biggest road-show ever to hit the North. Wells and his “The Stadium Tour” travelled with seven trucks and five couches. He filled the biggest football stadiums in Scandinavia with audiences of up to 40 000. At Ullevi in Gothenburg, Wells’ show sold more tickets then Elton John’s the year before. Wells is the star of one of Sweden’s most popular television shows which he also helped create. The musical quiz show has run continuously since 1997 on Friday evening’s prime time spot. He has also held 16 live concerts on nationwide U.S. television. In China Robert Wells has performed on all six Chinese television channels simultaneously watched by some 600 million viewers. Robert Wells was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1962. In 1969, at the age of seven, Wells was accepted at the renowned Adolf Fredrik Music School in Stockholm. He later went on to become the youngest student ever to be accepted at the Royal Swedish Music Academy, after four years of piano soloist studies. In 1978, at the age of 16, he won two major national talent contests; one as a soloist and one in improvisation. After graduating from the Academy in 1982 Wells became musical director of a number of Swedish performing artists. At the age of 25, in 1987, Wells had been appointed musical director of two major TV shows in Sweden. With television came his major breakthrough, and it was time to join the star-studded “Stockholm All Stars”, a band formed by the most skilled musicians around at that time. Wells’ first solo album was released in 1987. Wells’ love of classical music had started to show in his work, and after months of rehearsals, he was ready for his first “Rhapsody In Rock Tour”, where – for the first time - his rock group joined a full symphony orchestra. In 1990, the unusual combination of classical music and rock in a concert performed by a symphony orchestra and a rock group attracted the attention of the Soviet Cultural Ministry. Wells took his “Rhapsody in Rock” to Leningrad. Numerous TV appearances led to a tour of Sweden with the Leningrad orchestra in 1991. In April Wells headed for New York performing at three piano concerts at the Metropolitan. 1992 in Stockholm he became the first rock musician ever to play inside the Royal Castle. He held two sold-out performances with his rock group and a symphony orchestra. In 1993, Wells signed with JVC/Victor for the release of “Rhapsody in Rock” in Japan. A promotion tour of Japan and Hong Kong followed. In October 1994, Wells and his trio went to Los Angeles to perform at the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce. 1996 started off by a concert tour with Camerata Roman, a renowned string ensemble. The new CD “Nordic Rhapsody” was recorded in February. The 1998 version of the “Rhapsody In Rock” tour was a huge success and the new album, ”Rhapsody In Rock complete”, was released in Sweden in September. The album featured St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Wells’ rock group and several renowned singers. The record made platinum, with over 100,000 copies sold so far (2002). Wells visited TV stations all over the U.S. in December 1998 as the PBS stations broadcast his concert from Swedish concert venue Dalhalla. A Christmas tour was carried out with the YMCA/YWCA orchestra in the U.S. Release and promotion in Canada took place in 1999. 2000 started with the recording of “WWW. World Wide Wells” in the Rhapsody series. The album made gold. The Christmas project, “Jingle Wells”, was transformed into a show at the Grand Hotel Winter Garden in Stockholm. A special performance was held at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. A short trio tour in the U.S. started off 2001. “Rhapsody In Rock” was launched in Germany in January, with a TV show on the ZDF station. The final performance of The Big Ben Boogie Tour in Royal Albert Hall in November 2001. Giancarlo_vadala Posted July 6, 2007 at 05:01 PM Posted July 6, 2007 at 05:01 PM Che notizia bellissima sensazionale, grazie Ronny!!!!!
