JE CHERCHE L'OMBRE - an irish ballad . it reminds her of "S'il suffisait d'aimer" . her voice is very soft here .

 

I think I'll like it a lot... Irish music is awsome and I just love S'il suffisait d'aimer

Golmanish again, chorus easy to guess. Very poetic text.

 

8.SI J'ETAIS QUELQU'UN:

Calm and beautiful song (especially when we know that its author is handicaped).

 

9.JE NE SUIS PAS CELLE:

Céline she's not a superstar but a woman first, she finds happiness in simple pleasures again

 

10.LE TEMPS QUI COMPTE:

Best lyrics of the album, on a VENERUSOish melody (RIEN NEST VRAIMENT FINI style), precious times are counted ("Le temps qui compte est toujours compté").

 

11.LETTRE DE GEORGE SAND A ALFRED DE MUSSET:

DIsappointing. A long spoken intro. Too soft is the music. The amazing lyrics by GEORGE SAND could have been better used.

 

12.ON S'EST AIMES (A CAUSE):

a very quebecoise ballad, but a good one.

 

13.BERCEUSE:

worst song, according to him, it could have been in Miracle. Celine is speaking to René Charles.

 

to put it in a nutshell, Celine Dion, the very best!!! An exeptionnal release.

Yes, I agree...If mika doesn't like it it doesn't necessarely have to be a bad song...And I bet that "La Lettre" will be wonderful and emotional, even if it is spoken and not sung....It's gonna be one hell of an album...

Wow, sounds like it's gonna be great. I'm looking forward to La Diva the most. I just wish I spoke French so I can truly appreciate the lyrics to these songs. Who wants to teach me to speak & understand fluent French in 23 days???

hearing 30 sec or 1 minute from each one of the songs would just make it all worse

i mean , after that 1 minute clip of A CAUSE i just cant wait to hear the full song and as it seems this album is gonna be very special so i hope they'll give us 2 or 3 full songs instead of few seconds from each one .

For Celine Dion's album the writer Christine Orban composed her first song entitled Je ne suis pas celle. "It's a song about personality", she explains. "The one you are compared to the image that others have of you. It's the first song ever I wrote. I have loved to play with the music of the words and the music of the notes." This new excercise is not meant to irrate the author of L'attente, J'etais à l'origine du monde or Melancholie du dimanche. "One can say many things", Orban continues, "Convey emotions with a simple little chorus." The author has been contacted by the singer's record company, "and by one of the music composers. There was good chemistry immediatly. They talked to me about Celine, her childhood, and her character. To write knowing that it is one of the most beautiful voices of our time who will sing your words, that is stimulating, even if it is also intimidating. In fact, I didn't believe it at all. Now that I know it wasn't a joke, I'm ready to continue the experience."

I want to preorder the CD on Amazon, but first I want to know (if anyone here knows) what exactly is the difference between the 2 Disc version and the Collector's Edition Version. Is it only a book? Or is there more?
