I love the project already! It will be huge and a perfect masterpiece.... the whole thing makes me think of 9 by LF.... I think it will sound like this album, calm, quiet sounds of celine and a raw and perfect voice!

 

 

BTW..... sorry but I have to say: sometimes some members of this Forum become almost as rude as these ****** of the MadonnaVillage!

Please, please, NOTHING like that. That album of hers led her into the I-have-lost-my-voice era! LOL! She's got none now.

OK, I didn't know that. The point is Céline ain't Marilou. Céline is better than all the Garous and Marilous here. I wanted the project to be really really perfect. Now I know it won't. Which then again disappoints me. It's just that I am not used to get disappointed by the French Céline. Of course I may jumping to conslusions now but this far her musical choices for this album have been ranging from ok to abysmal. I almost even want to get David Foster to get involved into her French work just to have some quality orchestra and real instruments in there instead of shallow gtuitars that are ever so apparent throughout the European radio waves.

Exactly what I mean, celinedionfan! It's the RAWNESS, ESSENCE of Céline hidden in such songs. Benzi knows her well and I'm not all that concerned about him producing anything on the new French album cuzz it always turns out very solid just like "Papillion". It has such a perfect orchestral track that dances around Céline's fragile, crying, deserate vocals. I won't give too much credit for Benzi cuzz he almost too ofaten makes Céline scream like her in his songs but musically he is a respectable producer who knows how to cope with Céline's vocal skills and of course with the lyrics of a given song.

Okay, seriously, we can only speculate about the songs on the new album. It's kind of early to say you expected more of the album. Jean-Jacques is also working on this album, so maybe the combination of JJG and these producers will create something different from what those producers have done before. I know it won't be a difference like night and day, but come on, have a little faith. Céline said she's happy about this project and couldn't wait to share it with us. A real effort has been made to do something different with the lyrics and we still have Jean-Jacques on board. Positive things can come from this, you know.

I really hope so. I really really do we will be positively surprised. And I mean positively not like: OK, a new Dion single, Europop with shallow guitars, another copy of TLDH and TLS. I want something like: WOW, this is THE singer who sang PQTME initially! that's her, you really hear that! The music should always underline the lyrics, not be just muzak for the elevator like till today ALL songs by Gatengo are.

 

I just pray you are right and that Jean-Jacques has not let him rape Céline's vocals with shallow guitars.

 

To whoever hears the new French single first: Just state the fact here, when describing the song for us, whether there are guitars in the song or not and then I shall KNOW already what the song will sound like.

JJG was just here to adapt the lyrics. He will not be involved in the music or production or whatever.... In fact, I have the feeling that he is just here as a marketing argument as his name increase the sells.

 

And for the music direction, that´s just a pity...but we already talked about that. Please at least, something simple and acoustic....And not a pop guitar sound which will kill the lyrics and all the fabulous job that has been done for this aspect.

 

And an orchestra for La Diva would be amazing. I mean...If all the album is quiet and acoustic (which I hope), it will constitute a perfect little surprise, as a break in the middle of the album. But, it is time, it is preparation, it is money. ! Now, the album has to be finished quickly as the preparation of the english one will certainly debute in the coming days. I haven´t any hope.

The album in general could be very very good... I´m still very curious And in one hand, I like the fact that it is Celine who has choosed all the adequated musics, whatever it is Gategno or no. But, I really don´t excpect this first single to be good, not at all. I know too much the marketing strategy of René, which is more and more bad. It has begun with Max Martin, then Ne-yo, and now even her french carreer is touched by the horrible Gategno/Veneruzo.

She is not yet working on her English album, julien! That would be a non-factor anyway as I think cuzz she always tended to finish up her French albums much quicker than the English counterparts. So no sorrows here from me.

 

You have a point there about making JJG's name a pure commercial asset to the project. It may truly be it especially considering I would have NEVER thought of him letting Gategno work with Céline... as he is a big friend of Céline's he should be choosing the music producers personally and if he happens not to find anyone suitable he should write his mediocre music for Céline himself! and by that I mean = JJG's mediocrity is Gategno's and Veneruso's wildest dreams, simply out of reach for them.

 

What I mean is he's gotten plenty of time recently. Really plenty cuzz he didn't have any huge projects out by last year so writing some MEDIOCRE music for Céline wouldn't be truly too much to ask of him. Surely better than letting her into the cage with commercially hungry tigers that will eat her alive and laugh then all the way to the bank exactly like the Swedes from the Swedish Fundation have been doing ever since she decided to work with them in English.

Though you become tough you are certainly right! Celine's profile the last years has dramatically transformed to a commercial rockin' on Diva that becomes the advertisement of so many enterprising movements! It was that irritating,sober and maniac tendency to push and use the glory and the inspiration of the greatest female singer in the world to fill all these wholes of fluid money! This almost destroyed Celine with a Chrysler car accident and a crashing air canada airplane! I won't stand another parody like that! It's not celine on that.

 

But concerning about the producers of the upcoming album I believe that the essence of Celine's spark will be able to make it beautiful! I don't think there can be any mistakes or affected movements by her side on this album cause they can't be looking for a discography succeess with this album! They can do it on the english album (for God's Shake NO!!! )

 

I keep on believing that there are surprizes on the way.......

Yeah I know, but just to say that know the french album has to be finished quickly. And thus work with an orchestra seems impossible as well as a possible colaboration of JJG or another surprising productor.

 

And JJG has too much respect for Celine for giving here mediocre songs. he doesn´t hesitate to compose for the cheapest french singer like Laury as he doesn´t care too much about them. But, he will never writte for Celine if he thinks that the songs are not more than good and will bring something new to Celine. That was the case with his last 3 songs : JTE, JLD, and DMDB. And that´s the most intesrsting songs on the album. By conssequence that´s not a question of time but a question of respect. JJG actually doesn´t have THE song for Celine.

After if Celine choose to work with Gategno, that is not the JJG problem. That´s just a matter of integrity, of carreer choice, and JJG can´t do anything for that.

hmm and on a other note.... the new single is coming out in two weeks... probably on the radio first... not as a real single... but do you think Céline already has recorded the videoclip? We haven't heard anything about it! Lately the song is released and after that (waaaay too late like Contre Nature) she'll record the videoclip I hope Céline has recorded the clip in December in Quebec!
