$P!K& Posted January 14, 2007 at 01:08 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 01:08 AM OK. I understand the ALL DRAMA things of the composers. Ok. You think taht d'elles is gonna be un album classique for the womans! So... i don't think that is the real idea. I think that D'elles is one album feminist. With explosion of feelings, but, critcs. Something with courage. The feminism. (not the all "lady" thing) Quote
kdw123 Posted January 14, 2007 at 01:35 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 01:35 AM I think a lot of people are being too critical already and we haven't even heard one song from the CD....and this coming from Celine fans??? With this much support from the fans (NOT!) I can imagine how Celine would feel knowing that she is recording a new CD and fans are already being negative about it before one song has been released. So how can we expect the CD to be successful when the fans aren't even supporting the idea.....or at least being negative about it before we have even heard one of the songs. Quote

smw Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:32 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:32 AM We have some VERY opinionated people on the forum. That's what keeps this place alive---as annoying as it is. I think that ALL of us are looking forward to the album---as critical as we may seem. But I do wish we could just all take a deep breath---and not analyze this album to death. Let's just accept the fresh material and be happy about it!!! Quote

celinesounds Posted January 14, 2007 at 05:36 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 05:36 AM I love the idea of the album and I can't wait for the single and about the video for the song, I hope they do something like Contre nature and not like je t'aime encore Quote #FREEJAVITO
Chin Posted January 14, 2007 at 07:21 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 07:21 AM actually, has Celine finished recording the whole album yet? Quote
thevoice Posted January 14, 2007 at 09:01 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 09:01 AM (edited) i still have my hopes about quincy jones .who knows? maybe they liked one another so much and decieded to work together on her new english album . we heard about that ne - yo guy or whateverhis name is and some people here said he is producing r&b records so it's a long shoot i know but it sounds logical that he'll be part of the team if quincy is there dont u think? ohhh can u imagine an entire album produced by this legend? noone will be able to claim that celine is doing trash and everyone will start taking her more seriously...this is exactly what she needs , ohhhh the things it'll do to her reputation bring quincy and bring him now!!! René 2 Posted January 14, 2007 at 10:16 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 10:16 AM Expecting a quality album means that the work has to be participated by high-quality melodies and high-quality lyrics!! Can you imagine the songs of such talented , educated and popular women of canadian and french culture to be performed with music kind of "Tous Les Secrets" or "Contre Nature" or even worse with trush music?? It would be a shame to all and especially for Celine! I'm not saying that the music of tous les secrets and contre nature is trush music,- i love these songs- but it's not what is needed for this specific album!! We are talking about an album of female insiparation and emotional nature!!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I 100 % agree with u. Quote

Come on, she is not singing I Surrender or the power of love but a jazz cabaret standart. And we can here see how her sense of musicality is developped and how clever she is to adapt herself. The notes at the biginning, and especially the end of those note are totally amazing as it is done to sound jazzy. Every note, every breath is on the limit to sound jazzy, and while doing this, her voice has remained powerfull and energic. You seem so hermetic when it´s not an AC pop standart ballad. And come on...How can we think about her voice for this upcoming album when we know that for the first f****** time we have something audacious, inspired, and original, lyrically speaking. Let´s appreciate this great improvement, and those lyrics. And of course she will sound amazing. We will speak about technicity for her next english album as maybe it will be the only thing to speak about. Quote

thevoice Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:08 PM Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:08 PM (edited) i know what jazz is , it's not about the style of music it's about her voice it doesnt matter whether u r singing jazz , rock ,pop or whatever - u dont want your notes to break and u dont want to sing off tune and on "summertime" celine screwed the low notes and it was very clear at the beginning cause there was no music...she started the notes fine but the vibrato didnt really work and she ended the notes sounding very nasal and off tune...that has nothing to do with the style of music!!
