To the melodies which all are signed by the regular type-setters of Celine, are added two names to the list, those of Marc Dupre and of Jean-François Breau who compose together on the occasion and are leaning on the text of the famous French auteure Francoise Dorin which forms part Of them. "the words were so beautiful that in ten minutes one found the melody, one delivered the goods", declares Dupre. The écrivaine Francoise Dorin is in particular the auteure of the words of success That it is sad Venice de Charles Aznavour.

 

In the french newspaper, it was said that Veneruso and Gaeteno wrote the music for Dorin's lyrics.

Anyway, AMAZING AMAZING news!!!!!!! This could be the gem of her career if properly arranged and sung!

 

Isurrender, the paper said ADDITIONALLY to Veneruso, Gategno, Benzi, Goldman and probably Mary there has been an addition of a producer duo Dupre/Breau.

 

She will also possibly record the rest 5 songs in Las Vegas and NYC which I also find thrilling news especially for it's hinting that she may be recording for her new English album, as well.

"A Mon Fils" (Gategno) and "Je Cherche L'Ombre" (Veneruso).

 

More news: "Le temps qui compte" and "La diva" Céline will record in NYC after she has chosen personally the music to the songs! It'll be either in february or march.

 

"Berceuse a mon fils" will be prolly the last song on the album - the "bonbon" of the disk, the songwriter said.

 

They are still searching for the right music for "La diva" - the songwriter proposed a symphonic orchestra.

 

We also learn that Goldman only approveed the LYRICS not the music! They said cuzz of lack of time. He let her alone with this freak from hell Veneruso and trash producer Gategno.

BUT, I thought D'elles was already finish. Celine will record the rest of the songs, like siur said, in February / March...

Yes, recording in March, release in May...

And some of the lyrics were given to more than one composer, so Celine can chose the music she'll like best. That is cool!

The cat is out of the bag now. Céline Dion’s next album will be fully written by females.

 

It’s her idea and I’m happy to be able to be part of the lucky four and to participate in the project. We are four Quebecers: Janette Bertrand, Denise Bombardier, Marie Laberge and me. The secret has been guarded well.

 

The telephone rings. The secretary: Madame Payette? Monsieur Angelil wishes to talk to you…

 

What goodness would René Angelil want from me at this beautiful morning of may 2006? He surely wishes to have a fragment of an interview I have done with Céline in the past. I don’t see any other reason for him to call.

 

René: Bonjour, madame Payette. René Angelil on the phone.

 

Me: Bonjour, René. How are you doing?

 

Blah blah blah. Yes, there are no clouds in the sky in Montreal. How is RC doing?

 

René: He’s doing well. He’s inside… (laughs) Céline had this idea for her next album and that’s why I wanted to speak to you. We have thought of you. She wanted you to write a song… It’s her idea, the songs of female book writers…

 

I’m not quite there yet. Writing for Céline… There are countless people around the world that would do anything to be honoured like that but me, I wanted to say I wan’t capable of doing it, that I haven’t done it before. STOP! Let’s calm ourselves.

René continued to tell me about the project they have considered. He said that all this will be under care of Jean-Jacques Goldman, that all the lyrics will be submitted to him and that no decision about the lyrical content of the album will be made without his approval and that the project will consist of writers from Quebec and France. He said Céline is really avid…

 

I have already two themes in mind. Two which I want to try to realize. So, let’s give it a try.

 

Me: You need the song for when exactly?

 

René: (Laughs)… For the day before yesterday... it’s up to you.

 

Me: I’ll try. Not for the day before yesterday but the festatest I can.

 

In the afternoon, I wrote the first song. It came out of me like some songwriters say: one sheet of paper, within minuts, it flew. The second one I did the next next morning. I’ve sent the two in. Céline kept one.

 

My relation to Céline

 

I am not a friend of Céline Dion. I interviewed her one single time and I enjoyed her honesty and simplicity. Like many of her admirers, I have been following her career ever since her first TV appearance till today and I adore the woman and the artist she has become.

 

I’m boiling in rage when I hear about some shabby things they say about her here in Quebec sometimes – the province that has some issues nowadays accepting the international careers of its stars.I don’t have to look further than Britney Spears to understand in how far Céline needs to guard her private life and she has all the reason to do it. I am happy to bring her this little piece of a song of what I am and what I think of the other side of the life of a star that seems so great at first glance.

 

Some day during the autumn of 2006 I received a demo tape with a simple song, sung by Jacques Veneruso, the music composer (he has a nice voice as well). I was told that my song has been chosen and will be one of the 12 on the Céline 2007 album.

 

The only thing that I need to hear now is Céline’s version. I’m sure I’ll be all in tears.

 

The song’s title is: “Je cherche l’ombre” (I’m looking for shadow)

It's an article she has written herself! I just translated it. LOL You really think I'd make stuff up? Not here. This is real and is happening now. Lots of press for the new French album and I want everyone here (yes, even Mathias) to enjoy the great positive press stories circulating now. It'd be a shame they would go unnoticed by non-French speaking fans!

Well, I took gogo's complain to heart cuzz I want him to enjoy the buzz, as well. It's a joyous time! Happy days! Oh and I know, it's less than a year for SOME writers. René, Céline and George Mary (firend of Luc Plamondon) had this idea in 2005 already and made inquiries all over since then. So it was a well planned project after all. Once you have the plan, you can work fast on realizing it, gogo.

Celine Dion's New Album 'D'elles' - To Be Released in May 2007

 

 

Celine Dion is currently working on a new French-language album, which is scheduled to be released in France and other French speaking countries in May 2007.

 

This new album is a concept project in that all the song lyrics have been written by female writers from France and Quebec. There are many collaborators: Françoise Dorin, Christine Orban, Nina Bouraoui, Marie Laberge, Lise Payette, Denise Bombardier, Nathalie Nechtschein, Janette Bertrand... The themes throughout this album, titled 'D'elles,' centre around 'Woman.'

 

Many of Celine's long-time friends and collaborators, including Jean-Jacques Goldman, participated in this project. Although Goldman did not write any of the songs for this album, he supervised the project and arranged the song lyrics.

 

Music composers include Jacques Veneruso, David Gategno, Erick Benzi and Gildas Arzel.

 

The first single "S'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)," written by Françoise Dorin, will be released on February 14 in France.

Does any know if D'elle will be realeased in the US, in "what's going on" on celinedion.com it says realeased in France and other French speaking countries in May 2007. So does that mean that us from the US who want it on that day will have to order it online somewhere????
