sfbaysinger Posted October 26, 2012 at 04:03 AM Posted October 26, 2012 at 04:03 AM (edited) New/old favorite song...J'Attendais. I always loved it, so "I don't know" what it is about that song and why now that I have just absolutely fallen in love with that song...And I think I am figuring out some of what she is trying to say...I know the translation in English is "I was waiting" I think in the beginning of the chorus, it's like I was waiting, I was waiting, without regard for love." I could be so off, but when I hear, "j'attendais ton regard" I start thinking. The next line is amazing too but I want to understand it more...someone out there knows she's going to teach a French lesson to someone in the next few days...but she's incredibly patient... Anyway, I'm just totally completely in to Celine right now and that song...There's absolutely nothing like having her on in the headphones, being cocooned/cushioned/nestled/surrounded in a protective wall/bubble of sound...her voice. So Comforting. There is absolutely no better place to be right now...so loud that it drowns everything out, even/especially the voices in my head! This forum seems like a battle/war zone right now. It feels like some want to take me down with all the negativity. That or label me something other than "blind" which can't be changed/avoided. Like something wants to invade my head/mind/heart the way I think. But they can't have me. I have ultimate reign/power/control over that and no seed can sprout in me that I do not allow. I water the seeds of love today and I Love Celine!!!!! If that makes me crazy, then fine. My true friends, on and off CDF, will accept me.I had a laugh at my Mom's expense today.1 she doesn't even know what CDF is2 she thinks I can wait to let someone buy me the new Celine album for the holidays. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!! Get Real...Anyway, love you guys, have a great night/day depending where you are... Edited October 26, 2012 at 04:09 AM by sfbaysinger L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! You know, this '30 is a scary number' actually reminded me of something funny. I know a boy 4 years older than me who used to think that 'life ends at 30'. At that time I was like 21-22 and he was about 26 so I told him something like 'I still have time left but you're turning 30 tomorrow'. We and some other friends laughed a lot. Now he's actually about to turn 30 (in March) but doesn't seem scared anymore. Seriously, I'm glad that he changed his perception of life and himself as well. Now he's really trying to enjoy every second of his life and think of bad things as little as possible. So I know you were just joking (were you?) but you reminded me of him. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER

sfbaysinger Posted October 27, 2012 at 11:24 PM Posted October 27, 2012 at 11:24 PM LOL Fernando... Well, looks like I'm looking for housing...again...My form of disability requires proof of rent payment every month, but she's afraid if I keep paying her with a check, which is what they need to see, she thinks the IRS will start coming after her. I don't think so, I think she's just worrying for nothing and making mountains out of mole hills as the saying goes. (Sorry for those in other countries who've never heard it before, I love that we are an international forum.)She thinks if they see that she's got a renter, they'll want to see if the room is "up to code" then the house and she thinks it could cost like 30,000 to have me here. Talk about a guilt trip. I thought you're supposed to mean it when you do nice things for people, not put the guilt trip on them. It kinda makes me mad too because I feel like I just got here/got settled and now this? The thing is, god help me, I'm actually starting to sorta kinda like SF. No heart attacks, people, please, but I am. There is a lot here that was not available in my old location, so I don't know where to go/where I want to be. I just know I gotta go somewhere, but you guys/she will be with me no matter what. I do have some fun/awesome stuff to report. Today at the bank, I met a fan. They were playing old 80s country music and she asked my favorite kind of music. I told her my favorite singer instead and she said she likes her French work. I told her One Of my favorites is Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas and she agrees that's a great song. She then said she likes one from 95 that got really famous, and I found out that was, of course, Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore. (Was that in 95 or 96, can anyone tell me?)Anyway, that was amazing to experience. And today is her birthday, she's 36 (so no more pity-party for Edwin!!!!!) and I sang happy birthday to her and let her choose some of my ceramic jewelry that for some reason was still in my purse. So, all things considered, good day. My favorite English song is probably Taking Chances as it reminds me to try to take a chance in life which I rarely do https://www.facebook...59703384&type=3 - My Céline Collection Life isn't defined by your fears, but by how you deal with them.

sfbaysinger Posted October 29, 2012 at 01:05 AM Posted October 29, 2012 at 01:05 AM (edited) Haha, LOL Fernando I am totally confused/clueless. You must have made that up right then and there... I Get It!!!!!! Gracias.Zoe...really????? Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas is your favorite French song? That's awesome. It's one of the songs I come back to/listen to over and over. I love what I know of what she's trying to say in that song. It's kinda cool, because if I were to compile a list of her songs that I would wish she meant to/about me/us, that would be one of them. How neat would it be for Celine to say to you/us, I did not forget about you, no, never. Like, seriously. *faint.*And I love the idea/message behind Taking Chances. I'm not one who does that very often either.Edit: The San Francisco Giants are playing possibly their last game in the World Series. (LOL, my roommate pointed out, it's just for USA teams, so why call it the "World series" and not something else!!!!!!)Anyway, if they clobber the Detroit Tigers, (sorry anyone from Michigan/rooting for them), they win. Unfortunately, the score is now 2/1. Booooooooo. I'm usually not in to sports, at all, but I do have to have Some pride in the area where I live. So let's go Giants...
