I don't understand why we understand each other face to face but by e-mail, it's hell... The main reason (I would think) is that then your writing an email or reading it, it quite hard to pick out all the emoticons and the way that the other person is saying it. Yes it can be easy to make out the feelings if for example someone wrote some naughty words and use it to take it out on you. On the other end of the line, it can be quite hard because there are more than one way of looking at an email and how you take it in as far as emoticons go.
