Célinefull Posted March 10, 2006 at 06:35 AM Posted March 10, 2006 at 06:35 AM this thread makes me feel very very very sorry... Sorry folks for being a homophobe for 12 years.... (how could i ever forgive myself to have had such a discriminative attitude to gays...) Glad that my homophobe days are over now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you were a homphobe at age 4?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/7108/ziegfieldgirlbanner.jpg
bgold50 Posted March 10, 2006 at 08:06 AM Posted March 10, 2006 at 08:06 AM I am also gay and have no problem saying it to anybody. It is part of who I am, but it does not define me. I find it very interesting that almost all of the responses to this question are either from women or gay men. I'd also like to hear from some straight men. In the US, homophobia is one of the last legal forms of prejudice. It's sad, and silly, but as with most prejudices, it is mostly due to ignorance and lack of education. I am very glad that on this forum, that deals with an incredible singer (who is not at all homophobic), that gays are not just tolerated, but a welcome addition to the community. Thank you. I wish the world were a mirror of this site.Brian Quote

david2807 Posted March 12, 2006 at 05:21 PM Posted March 12, 2006 at 05:21 PM hi,i'm new on this forum and i have read the 6 pages of this subject. And according to Brian, I'd like to say that this forum unfortunatly isn't the reflect of the reality. You guys seem all so entousiastic about this gay thing but I can tell you that's it's not like that in the real world. And I,too, think it's a shame. I agree with those who said that what people find to be discusting is to imagine two same sex person doing it. But what they should understand is that love comes first, sex being the resultant of that. And on the matter of the childhood, i would like to say that maybe if at school we'd talk about homosexuality as an equality with heterosexuality, doing the sex prevention on the two subject, saying to the children that whatever they are, there will be no problem at all, that it's part of them, certainly the rates of teenagers suicide would be deacrinsing. Of that i'm certain!Currently, at school, we learn not be racist, we learn that slavery was not a good, and all that kind of things, so let's hope some day we'll speak of homosexuality that way!that was my point of view. Hope some of you will share it with me.David PS: I'm sorry if there are mistakes, my english is not excellent! Quote

If children were taught at a young age that homosexuality is just a different kind of love, the world would be more tolerant andthe would be FAR fewer teenage suicides. Unfortunately, a lot of ignorant people think that being gay is ONLY about sex. As someone here said, the sex is the result of the love. It's all about love, and what could possibly be wrong with that? And your English is just fine! Thanks for writing. Quote

Bag Posted March 21, 2006 at 11:07 PM Posted March 21, 2006 at 11:07 PM Hi What do you think about gays . I dont have a problem with any gays. I find that there are sometimes better than being straight. Where i work for the airline, i deal on a daily basis with gays etc. They are more pleasant, understanding, dont judge, helpful, considerate towards you and others:D. At the end of the day we are all human, if people have a problem thats there issuse to deal with. People should move with the times and not live in the dark ages. Its the culture we live in and have to accept people for who they are not for what we think they should be. Quote
