True, but knowing them they will do multiple shows haha. But the main focus should definitely be the 1st night.

That's the only true one where the emotion is real and most of the reactions will be spontaneous.  We all know that later on those things get very scripted.

I hope it happens, but I won't get my hopes up just yet.  Hopefully everything with the September shows will go fantastically well, but it's always possible that Céline/"they" may not end up happy with how the recording looks, her performance, etc., and it'll be a question of how much they can fix in post (or cobble together from multiple nights), so I'll wait for official confirmation of a release.  I learned my lesson from another rabidly wanted/expected/fully-filmed-but-ultimately-never-released show, Kate Bush's Before The Dawn...

 

(Granted, Céline and Kate are very different artists and Céline is much more likely to want to get her show out there as a release, but still...)

My feeling is that the release of the dvd will coincide with album release in fall.

Hence, the setlist for May 2027 will be slightly different to incorporate songs from new album

Her voice should be stunning after years of rest and rehabilitation, 

and I hope the stage design is epic, and she'll wear beautiful dresses with big hair!

You guys lucky enough to be there on the first night,give her a LOooong standing ovation, don't let her sing at least for the first 30 minutes...😆

If they will release this in DVD or streaming platforms. I’m hoping the sound quality will be amazing. Hoping it will not sound like Japan 2018 Proshot. IT SOUNDED BAD!!! SO DRY!

It is. I don’t get why some of you say this hasn’t been confirmed. It’s been confirmed by Le Parisien that there will be an album in French to be released late this year or early next (apparently more likely early next), followed by one in English. As we have already established, Le Parisien is a good source which seems to have been entrusted by Céline’s team with gradually releasing bits of information about this whole comeback.

You are totally right, plus Le parisien has good sources since it is one of the multiple partners of the Paris residency. But today it is all a matter of time. Don't forget that Le Parisen, followed by Paris Match annonced the Paris residency one year before it could really be held.

We all know that writers were approached and no one is confirmed. JJG and Ycare had been confirmed long before the titles were released. So yes they are working on a French album, most likely to be released in March 2027, before the second Paris residency ( Celine likes to release album in march). And an English album should follow. But there is absolutely not confirmation about a French album releasing this autumn.

Let’s not forget the Taking Chances DVD was delayed as they were unhappy with certain audio, so she went back to the studio to record vocals to be added to it.

I still believe that’s why BST was not released as she went straight from that into tour rehearsals for Courage and then Covid hit.

I’m usually good at spotting this stuff but that was over my head.. I figured they just enhanced what they got from the live recordings. It’s just like team Celine to re-record vocals and still not use the best vocals. TCWT shoulda been filmed at the start of the tour when she was in top shape.

Songs like TPOL, IACBTMN, TLYM, MHWGO, ABM, and IDAN had entirely new vocals recorded to lay over the usual pre recorded tracks. And certain specific live notes or phrases (like the final notes of The Show Must Go On) were re recorded also. Though the whole thing was plastered with horrendous levels of autotune, which coupled with the erased audience noise made it sound very strange. Frankly all they had to do was slap on some extra reverb and cushioning rather than the autotune, and the re-recorded vocals for the lipped songs didn’t need the heavy tuning either.

For me that recording actually made me fall in love with TPOL again even if it was heavily auto tuned.

It is a beautiful re-recording, and a display of how well her voice had aged up to that point. If there was some way to “de-autotune” it, I so would because I really do think it would replace any other version for me.

Shows how she was able to still hit the notes decades later. I don’t understand why they used so much auto tune… it’s like painting gold, orange. Why are they messing with near perfection?

For me, the 2011 versions are the absolute best ever. Yes, they lack some of the rawness that her voice had in the FIY era but, from a technical standpoint, they are flawless. Really the best voice she ever had.

Okay so it’s the timing that we’re uncertain about. Yes, I also think it’s more likely that the release will be early next year—Céline’s albums always come later rather than sooner haha

I cancelled my Paris package for October yesterday… my heart just wasn’t in it for this run and I can always watch fan videos on YouTube or wait for the rumoured DVD at Crimbo. 😊

I’m holding out for the Vegas return whenever that may be.

Nothing beats a Vegas production and seeing her in that intimate theatre setting… plus the whole adventure of holidaying in Vegas with so many things to do.

It's only the most important and anticipated  dates in Céline's career and what, less than a 2-hour flight?  At least you won't have to hear all those French songs and hear all that French spoken.  Scary!
