We do have some nice ice cream in Paris! For those coming who might want some recs, I really love this place: https://bachir.fr/en They have standard flavors as well as things like rose, orange water, etc. And the texture is just the best.

I also found this English-language guide to Paris ice cream spots: https://www.flavorsofparis.com/post/your-ice-cream-guide-to-paris A lot of these places are ones I really like too.

This one isn't ice cream, but a chocolatier with several shops in different parts of Paris... It has a chocolate mousse bar! Really good stuff! https://chapon.com/pages/le-bar-a-mousse-au-chocolat

And finally, I really like taking visiting friends to this street, rue du Bac in the 7th arrondissement, which has a bunch of great pâtisseries (like big name chefs' places) all concentrated in one little area. You can go to a few of the bakeries and pick out some little cakes to go, then grab a bottle of prosecco from the grocery store nearby and have a cake and prosecco picnic in the park.

If anyone is coming in Sept/Oct or May and wants to eat cake and ice cream, maybe we can organize a little excursion (I think there are a bunch of us going to shows on the same dates.)

Same, honestly. Ice cream is elite-tier comfort food for me! Milkshakes are basically ice cream that decided to become a beverage and somehow got away with it. Peak loophole cuisine. Can’t wait to taste the French ones in September. 😋😋😋

Are these conversations serious ???? Who cares about eating ice cream in Paris ??

would have any recommendations for the best budget friendly hotel within walking distance of la defense arena?

I don't actually know the hotels super well because I live in Paris... but there are a bunch within walking distance of the arena. I'd start looking quickly though because with the residence they're getting booked quickly (it's been in the news). I tend to like the sort of "AppartHôtel" model of hotels, which is sort of like a studio with a kitchenette hotel room rather than a more typical hotel. Those can be convenient with kids, they sometimes have a washing machine for laundry in the kitchenette, etc. But it depends what your needs will be. I'd say that this one looks good (it's via Mariott): https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/pardf-citizenm-paris-la-defense/overview/?scid=f2ae0541-1279-4f24-b197-a979c79310b0&utm. But I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff.

I don't know how long you'll be staying, but if you're looking for things to do with your daughter, there's this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parc_de_la_Villette (It's the place that René-Charles loved so much as a little kid that he asked Céline if they could buy it 😂)

For those looking for budget hotels with some funky character I suggest Accor's Ibis Styles hotels.

See I was thinking thank goodness someone has changed the subject from that argument that's been going on for several days now! I like icecream.

For those who couldn’t get tickets for the concerts, I have a link I got on a discord channel with a code, email etc.

Private message me for the link etc .

It's totally working i just got my tickets there for MAY 27

I can share it with you if you’d like. It’s an alternative to Eventtravel.
You’ll also need to create an account on Ticketmaster France (which is separate from other Ticketmaster sites).
I’m not selling tickets — I’m just here to help.

There are still Platinum tickets available for some dates in May (ranging from €240 to €745 depending on the date). The more expensive the ticket, the better the seat.

If i am not allowed to post this please let me know i'll deleted that post.

Thanks a lot for sharing! I got my tickets for May 28th thanks to you :)

Actually these Platinum tickets are a good alternative to Event Travel, at least you know where you are sitting when you buy. Event Travel markup is higher (unless they place you rows 3-7).

🥳 I also got some floor seats for the last show in May! Very happy that I will see her both in the Fall and May-run.
These last tickets aren't promoted on Ticketmaster's homepage, so I guess they really keep these under the radar?

Looks like all that's available now is single supplement packages through Event Travel for a few dates. What's the betting now these are sold out too more dates are added for May/June next year much like they did for this year.

I have a prestige ticket & hotel package available for early October if anyone is interested please drop me a dm 😊

thanks! What I find very annoying nowadays is that you have to click through so many pages and go through a waiting line, to find out there are no tickets left for that date! Just enable the link and state: sold out!

Yes I just wanted it to just show me what was available across any dates at this stage. It took a lot of faffing across all the ticket sites to find what I bought. I didn't go crazy with the cost of what I bought as I already have opening night tickets for September this year, but I got decent enough seats for 26 May 27.
