Sorry to change discussion but I received today tree time email from Event travel regarding May 2027 last concert, with an amended invoice. Honestly i can’t see what had been modificated’from the original one. Has anyone receive the same kind of mail ? Thanks

I got the same thing and had the same question. No idea! (I also thought it was weird that I have a couple Event Travel tickets, but they sent me 3 times the same amended invoice for just one night, May 29th). Strange...

Je n'ai pas vraiment compris grand-chose de la traduction, mais j'ai l'impression que Claudette sera à la première de Céline le 12 septembre ? A-t-elle invité ses frères et sœurs ?

Claudette says she’ll be at the premiere of the residency on 12 Sept  with her child. 
 

whether that means invited or not who knows, if she bought her own tickets she doesn’t need to be “invited”… I’m sure and I’m hoping that any member of Celine’s family that wants to be there WILL be there. This is a big moment for the entire Dion clan.

I could've sworn I read somewhere, back when the first Sept-Oct dates were first announced (in Paris Match, maybe, when they were doing quasi-daily reporting?), that the brothers and sisters were all going. Weird that Claudette wouldn't mention it if that's the case, but who knows... I'd love it for them all if they were all there for the opening night.

When will Céline announce the name of the residency? I have a very good idea for a name: résidence Bonjour Pardon Merci Je t'aime. "Bonjour Pardon Merci" would be a lousy name but "Bonjour Pardon Merci Je t'aime" would be an ace name. Voilà. 😀

The name is literally the name of the poster. “CÈLINE: PARIS 2026-2027”

 

I know, we all know, they aren’t really groundbreaking geniuses.

Yeah, I feel like in 2011 they stopped giving original names to their shows/tours for some reason.

As much as I would love that. I think it would ruin the iconic Olympics moment at some point.

I think a slowed down version of BPM would make for an awesome live moment!

However, contrary to what many members are saying, I actually like the fact that the verses are faster in the studio version. They don’t sound too fast to me and it gives the song a more modern vibe, like many songs on EUS.

Because that video is the one boosted his channel. He got more viewers and followers. That’s why and some celine fans kept on bringing this up to him and I don’t know why. Even provided a comparison from the 2015 performance. I don’t know who they are but I’m sure they are members in the forum. Glad people don’t pay attention anymore to this. Haha

They failed to bring Celine Down 😂

I saw this tweet 

I guess they’ll rerecord another pre-recorded vocals if it doesn’t match anymore the transition from live vocals to pre-recorded vocals. Since I’ve only seen Céline back in 2018 during her Asian Tour. Her live vocals transitioning to pre-recorded vocals during POL is still smooth. You wouldn’t noticed it. 

So, I’m quite curious as well if her voice now can still transition smoothly with her 2011 pre-recorded vocals or they will make new ones.

I think no would be the answer to that. Her voice is too different now.

Remember Elie Saab show. They did new arrangements. More oriental to match with the show, but the voice was «  the old one » and it didn’t fool anyone it was play-back.

I don’t think they have a choice to but record new playback verses of songs… that Elie Saab show was a on off event that wasn’t getting as much media attention as this residency will. Also, I think it’s hopefully the start of more shows and residencies to come… so they’ll use them again and again. I think at the time of that Elie Saab show they weren’t clear on if any shows were even happening in the future yet. 
 

Celine has been in the studio at the palms a lot lately… unless it’s all for the new album it’s extremely likely some of those sessions are for new playback tracks too. We’ll know in less than 2 months.

I think it's very likely they will record new tracks. It would be jarring to hear her 2011 voice in concert now because she sounds so different, and those tracks have already been in several professional releases. But also her voice is in a better place now and she is doing way less shows too, so there might be even less lipping than before.

Many of them feature too much post production and evidence of multiple takes/stitched vocals (more evident when they’re isolated stems) to be taken from rehearsals or a soundboard. Especially the 2011 re-records for songs like IACBTMN/TPOL, WDMHBN, MHWGO, The Reason etc. are *so* polished and clear that, at least to me, there’s no way they’re not studio recordings. This as opposed to some of her very early tracks which, tho id imagine they were also recorded in a studio, have a more “raw” and “believable” finish to them, as if they were one take dry vocals, albeit studio ones.

Yes. I believe it’s definitely a studio recording… Albeit a very minimal “raw” vocal of these songs to imitate a live performance… like AdrienneM said it’s still to polished.

I'm still impressed by how the new to love you more playback includes the mid 90's vocals ending and how seamless it sounds. yes her voice changes, but not the essence. when she belts the last "to love you more" before the switch to the old vocals, the sound of her voice is carried, not sure how to say this in English lol. 

Or the pitched down studio vocals from 1993 for the first verse in the power of love at Elie Saab, then the 2011 track for the chorus. like, it's a very interesting choice and I thought it was kind of a statement for herself and the fans that know saying that THAT voice is very much still there.

It's like she must've stressed a lot about having to do "the whispers in the morning..." to match an old vocal when her voice was uncontrollable in the late 2000's. I don't know, coming back with the 93 vocals for that show was cool and pretty epic imo. it was a pivotal moment for the history of tpol lipsincing LOL
