There is no real build up, no album, no music videos. Everything is so heart less and dry. I don’t even know what to expect at those shows cause nothing has been revealed, so I didn’t buy a ticket either

Listen, this is a fan forum designed for all fans to share their opinions, not a private club curated for your comfort. You don’t need to announce your presence on every post you happen to disagree with.
If you don't like certain forum members or a different perspective bothers you this much, that’s fine, stick them on your ignore/block list, or learn to scroll past these particular posts. The internet ( this forum )doesn’t need to pause, just because you’re unhappy!

It's a forum...created for discussion. Not a Facebook post.  I, like you, have the ability and right to share my opinion. I find your opinion absolutely fascinating and am not about to block you for it .  Trust me, these aren't things that keep me up at night.

I absolutely agree that all members of this forum are entitled to their opinions… but it’s how you “sometimes” voice those opinions directly toward others… it can comes across sometimes as an attack and I have seen this from yourself and a few other members, whether you are aware of this or not ( again this is my opinion ) towards quite a few other members of this forum in recent months.

Just be mindful and kind to members when replying, that’s all I’m saying! 👌🏼

I cancelled my Paris package for October yesterday… my heart just wasn’t in it for this run and I can always watch fan videos on YouTube or wait for the rumoured DVD at Crimbo. 😊

I’m holding out for the Vegas return whenever that may be.

Nothing beats a Vegas production and seeing her in that intimate theatre setting… plus the whole adventure of holidaying in Vegas with so many things to do.

Oh that is sad ... but it just remind us to have a look at event travel or other tickets sellers regularly. There are several prestige packages back on sale for September and October.

So much for 'we are here for the tree' 🤣

As much I love an intimate theatre setting, I rather spent the comeback show in a big place with loads of crazy fans. Instead of sleepy Vegas audience.

Yes, I find it so amazing and beyond beautiful that she is able to continue and so I'm really really looking forward to the concerts and I'm really happy that we are getting new music from her. I don't care for chart positions anymore, everything we get from now on is even more a gift than it was before

Saying that I don't want to offend anyone, it's just my feelings

While it's nice to see more dates added and Celine being active, potentially. I can't help but wonder in what shape is her voice. The fact that she is older and has not been active for like 6 years with being sick.
In terms of performing on stage I have little to no worries. But if it becomes basically a lip sync tour then I think it's not worth doing it. I guess using auto-tune, pitch correction and things that can forgive it and help.
Sorry for being pessimistic but I rather see her going out on a high note so to speak. Than dragging on and performing worse and worse like we see some artists do. Like Whitney did some really bad performances before she died. Ofc it's not defining but it's there as a stain.

This has put a smile on my face. The kind of smile that only comes from being proven right.

I remember telling you that you had an issue with the French aspect of this tour when you threw a tantrum about its second leg taking place in Paris much like the first one. And this is clearly what Alex has picked up as well. I am sensing some anti-French sentiment involved. And I am not writing this to offend you, it is just quite obvious in my eyes.

I’m here for the tree… but just not in this environment and setting, I just wouldn’t enjoy it which is why I am holding out for a smaller setting in Vegas :)

I never have enjoyed seeing her in any arena or stadium whether it be the o2 in London, Bercy in Paris or Croke Park in Dublin, for me a small theatre where everything from sound, to atmosphere to staging is just perfect is simply what I prefer.

Each to their own though, we are all different and prefer different things 😉

Relax...

If you think Céline would put herself out there and expose herself to the media and her critics and haters when she's not ready, you clearly don't know her at all.

Céline is not that weak crackhead WH,or Elvis, or Michael Jackson, or Mariah carey...

She's physically, mentally, emotionally and professionally stronger than all of them combined, and smarter too.

I wouldn't worry about Céline at all, she'll be just fine.

And her comeback will be phenomenal!

Just sit back and enjoy! 😉

Regularly this topic on Celine career new chapter comes back. It shows how febrile we are after these 6 silent years.

Neither optimistic nor pessimistic we just need to take it step by step. Actually we are spectators and totally powerless regarding this comeback.

This comeback can be incredible if she is fine and if success is back.

It can appear as a clean way to put a final end to her career if she suffers too much or it's a half toned success.

Thousand home rehearsals won't give indication on her physical sensations amount a 35 000 people crowd, financial pressures etc. We will see. And the more expectation you create, the more disillusion you risk.

Again with this story of tree and apples, only hardcore fans as us come for the tree. Other people come for the apples ( which is normal by the way). Plus let's remind that for a majority of people that will come to see her in Paris( thanks to the lottery) Celine is still the PQTME and MHWGO singer !!! They did not go through the all process of Celine voice modification.

The same regarding two albums newt year, another residency or Vegas contracts. This is all speculations.

We have been offered a fantastic comeback. What a gift for us ! What a performance for Celine !

If a  new chapter in her career : great . If a signal that she can't or does not want to, it's will be ok too.

I think Céline is brave enough to go back onstage doing what she loves. There will be for sure some lipsyncing for some songs but the rest I still believe she will sing Live like what she used to (4-6 lipped the rest out of 20-22 songs in the list are completely live). Hoping she will not do what Mariah Carey did since the past few years with her residency shows and tours being 99% are lipsynced and the only live was the easiest to sing and some outros.

Celine is no Mariah Carey. My guess is the same harder songs will be lipped and the rest live. Let’s remember by all accounts we are led to believe her voice now is better than it was for CWT. And ever for the CWT her voice was weaker for sure and she still had some vocal moments.

I’ve been to Vegas twice and for the life of me I cannot Fathom someone selling their tickets to her comeback shows in Paris to wait and see her in Vegas ? For real ? I really have no words ….

Secondly , I’ve heard Vegas is scrapped entirely.  So good luck lol.

The thing is, we have now idea if Vegas is ever coming—or if anything else is ever coming, for that matter. We don’t even know for sure that the premiere in Paris will go ahead. If we want to ever see Céline live again, the best we can do right now is take whatever we can get and hope for the best—there may be many more opportunities ahead, or this might be the only one. Let’s hope it all goes well!

They are both different feelings… Vegas is great in my opinion.

And who did you hear it’s scrapped entirely from? Word is the negotiating for other cities would start after Paris and with the hope that all goes well with her health.

I think he meant that the original contract (with RW) was scrapped. Clean slate now, so it could be Vegas but it could just as well be Seoul or Mexico City.

Vegas is great don’t get me wrong but I’d never exchange this opportunity in Paris for a Vegas show again.  But, to each their own.

Also, very very doubtful Vegas is happening again.  I was in Vegas last year for a work conference and word was don’t hold your breath on her coming back to Vegas. Bigger and better was in sight - and Lo and behold the Paris announcement came 8 months later.

Absolutely. The connection with her Paris or Montréal audiences is Legendary.

I don’t think anything beyond Paris and Paris 2.0 is on the books yet. I think her team is open to many options. My guess will be if she does Vegas again it’ll be bigger Arena shows like the sphere who holds 30k people… I think the days of the small theater shows are over only because I don’t think they are big enough for them. They will clearly want to do less shows for more people. 4-5K people won’t cut it.

Taylor Swift is the gold standard of the 'fewer shows, more people' approach. It worked wonders for her and set the bar. Celine and her team are clearly aiming towards that direction. This does not only help financially but also physically considering SPS. I do not see Vegas happening any time soon. The twins will be adults in two years, so there goes the main contributing factor as to why Celine had chosen to do Vegas residencies in the first place. I see big stadiums all around the world. One residency at a time, almost like a world tour that is fragmented.

She will definitely do Vegas again, health permitting of course. But like we said it’ll be bigger shows in Arenas… that “intimate” atmosphere that some people are getting their hopes for is probably not gonna happen. But I can see her doing Sphere for an extended run of 12-20 Shows eventually.

However what’s likely to happen will be what @LukeD said… a world tour that’s fragmented. The next logical stop has to be French speaking Canada and probably followed by either London or Tokyo. But Vegas is still her home base she’ll be back there in some form eventually… also, MSG in NYC and Staples Center or now named Crypto Arena could ones to watch 👀
