That's stupid to buy 6 tickets if you don't need them as you lower other people's chances. If you have friends and you organise it, sure but other than that it's stupid

Sure, there cAN be a strategy of segmentation (e.g. private concert for our forum), but the cost benefit ratio (especially with the extreme cost of her leaving the cost any given day) are too high to make that worth it. Or, there could be a strategy of treating us so nicely that other fans are much more willing to pay to be like us (think Hermes exclusiveness for example) but Celine’s 6 years away has created that scarcity in spades (and not like she needed it against such high baseline popularity already).
 

Altogether,  there’s 0 need to try and tailor a product for us, when they get a far higher ROI just activating the average joe to remember the Titanic lady. ESPecially when precisely as Bellamy said above, our WTP is roughly infinite. Team Celine has been ignoring us forever and we’ve proven we’ll keep buying tickets anyway. 

I'm glad to know there are more economists around here! I am one in Spain! I agree that, from economist to economist, the profitability of a project should be maximized. Sony Music is a company, but we don’t have any kind of statistics (at least I don’t) that could indicate interest in discarded material. It’s true that our segment, compared to the general public, is tiny and seems not to fall within their target segments, but maybe it’s a good idea to monetize material that has been forgotten and currently generates no income or profit for Céline or Sony. Record labels are usually open to this situation; in fact, I know this from a friend who once spoke with Warner Music and was allowed to release CDs with material from his favorite artist’s vault. Record labels want to make a profit, and they have thousands upon thousands of files for each singer.

Just rechecked the AXS confirmation email we got once registered for the pre-sale…surely this isn’t right? That we get an email from today until the 9th letting us know??

That's what I understand from it as well, between now and the 9th.

Guess they are spreading the amount of people over the days to prevent busy traffic on the presale day

Yah this seems to be how they’re doing it which must mean they’re gonna drop tickets in batches? Makes more sense cause that way the website won’t crash. Let’s hope they put equal amounts of tickets for each date / section in each batch if that is the plan

My understanding was that emails would arrive today with links/codes. And the various pre-sales would begin 7-9 depending on the vendor? If general sale is 10 Apr then you’d expect all pre-sales to be over before then. Seems odd to have 6-9 as the window for pre-sale draw notifications.

This is just horrible… I see many fans have received their e-mail but I got nothing yet. Plus, as somebody mentioned before, I think we could receive our e-mail between today and Thursday. Does that make sense when the pre-sale starts tomorrow morning?  🥲

No if you are receiveing email

from AXS then you can participate to first presale tomorrrow. If you get selected from Ticketmaster, then you can participate to the Thursday presale

Got mine too, for the Ticketmaster sale on Thursday. I guess all good ticket will be gone by then, but as a +30 years long fan who has never been able to see her live I just hope I can go to one of the concerts. Good luck to everyone!

More than likely what will happen will be after Thursday presale ends they’ll add about 4-6 new shows and the people already selected to participate in presale will get first dibs if the were able to get seats.
