I get this is a thing that is done but for me wiping her pages feels wrong. Taking all the history like it never happened. All the personal posts makes me sad. One of the things I love about Celine is how she feels like a she could be your friend or family member. That we have know her and her story it means something. She is not some unapproachable star.  Taking all the personal posts away as well I don't know feels impersonal and like everything that came before means nothing.  

I am so happy for her being able to be back but why does all the history have to be wiped away.  Guess will see if any of the old posts come back.

Question why does it need to wipe? It is not like we don't know she has been in the business for over 40 yrs why wipe everything. Really for any artist I don't get. Yes new era but does not mean you forget all that came before. I just find it strange.

I get your point completely but it’s all about the hype. Removing all the history is more symbolic of a new era. Really gets people excited. I’d wager the old stuff will be back within a few weeks

I think a lot of people here missing the point, it’s a tactic that many celebrities use before a big drop comes/special announcement/new era. All the posts are not actually deleted they are instead archived and can be brought back shortly after the new era/announcement is announced or takes place. So we’re not deleting history. It’s just a sign of a new era… This is actually one of the most brilliant moves that her team has made it in a long time and I give them a lot of crap.

Yeah, the post have simply been archived and will be restored after the big announcement. It’s just to generate further buzz and Immediately attract attention when a new post is made/ when someone checks out her account. Everyone can do it on the app, not just celeb/verified pages!
