Yes, I agree. I think the fact that they have Willo Perron signals that they're doing a whole new kind of mise-en-scène. And I think the posters around Paris with song titles were a clear idea of the kind of stuff to expect in the setlist. I'm wondering how long the show will be; I am thinking it'll be short to keep things reasonable for her stamina. At some point when the rumors started of a comeback, people were saying 70 minutes or something like that.

As for all the actual details of what the show will be like, this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't even care... Just a couple years ago, we were at "If I can't run, I'll walk. And if I can't walk, I'll crawl", so basically I'm going to be completely stoked to just watch her walk into the spotlight on her own two feet standing tall. If she does nothing but that and then we give her a standing ovation for the rest of the time, that would be fine with me. I don't care if she lips everything, or if she just sits in a chair in her cozy socks and tells us stories and jokes, or if she does a fashion show catwalk while we all do karaoke to her greatest hits... 😂

I'm not going to this the way I normally go to shows; I'm going to this like a kind of pilgrimage. She has nothing to prove to me. I just want to see her and for us to give *her* that moment. I want everything to be about her having fun and a nice moment with the public that she's missed so much. I want her to get what she's wanted for so long now. It's time for us to give her some apples, as far as I'm concerned. 🥹

Now watch her put on the greatest show of her life! That seems to be what they’re advertising/letting people expect.

This is 100% how I feel as well. I just want her to know that we have her back. I’m also fairly certain I will cry when I see her on stage.

Arfff… The regular ones weren’t available when I tried.

Yes, I agree it’s crazy and most of all unfair. I’m still shocked at the way this whole sale went since the begining of the week. I would have prefered a more ethical and clear process, one in which everybody was respected and had a chance, geek or not geek, low or high income. I’ll shorten my summer holidays and spend them at home, no extras for the months to come. I’m ok with that.

I was 10 when a 14 yr old Céline appeared in my TV set. She wasn’t pretty, her cloches were not trendy at all — everything just like me ! Everything was weird, even the way she spoke (I thus discovered that night that some people living very very, indeed very far away spoke French too but quite differently Lol). And then she sang ! THAT was the most bewildering ! How could such a voice, such a singing belong to another « little girl » ?!

« Retenez-bien son nom » said Michel Drucker, the famous French presenter of Champs Élysées program, « Céline Dion ! ».

I usually don’t like big venues at all, but I’m happy to be able to be in her presence for the first time 💕

Yeah, I think about that little girl a lot these days... Depuis son documentaire et sa maladie, c'est son image qui me fait un gros pincement au coeur...

Je la vois toujours présente en elle, avec elle. Comme si petite et grande se tenaient la main.

Moi aussi ça me sert le coeur. Ça a l’air tellement injuste ! J’ai cet espoir fou qu’on trouve un remède dans les années qui viennent. Si c’est le cas, elle y aura grandement participé. En attendant, elle est exemplaire !

Somehow the Red Heads made a name for themselves and got into the media. They've done a great job. If we could somehow get it together here and have few very driven spokespeople, we could be a big, well-known group.  Céline dans deserve a better name than the red heads.  No disrespect to them, but a simple red cap / casquette rouge is a bit blah as a name

Would be great if the English and French could get along so we can be a bigger group. Imagine what possibilities a huge group can have.

From what I heard is that they made this happen themselves, it was not a 'oh here you go you get some tickets'

Either way they get things done.

I saw the subject line as "A Special Moment..." and thought "OH BOY! Maybe they're doing more updates... and this is how thrilled Celine is to be doing 16 sold out..." -opens email- "and it's the Eiffel Tower lightshow." Really Team Celine? 🤦‍♂️

It's just amazing how from one to another we can love or hate different things.  Anything Cirque puts me to sleep. I can't stand humans pretending they are a bird, the painted white man, the bell hop.  It's like Jeff Koons art coming to life.

Glad I'm not the only one.  I dislike A New Day... immensely.  Even when I attended in person, I found myself stifling giggle fits at just how absurd and ridiculous the whole thing was, not to mention the awful setlist.  Keep your French-Canadian mimes/clowns/man-babies far, far away from me - and Céline... :D

Personally it was the first time I ever saw her live so for better or worse it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life 😅

Sigh I decided to watch I Am to see just how far we've come to this moment... But it's less uplifting than I hoped, I'm actually nervous for this massive show she's taking on :( Gotta trust in the incredible team she's had these few years, and her infallible hard work though.

Oh no no no… It hurts me to read this. A new day… was one of her greatest artistic moments in her English carrer, I wish I could go back in time to watch one of the shows in person. Especially the ones where they filmed the scrapped DVD or even some more obscure ones from 2005 or 2006. The white painted man was a diva. 💅🏻

I attended “A New Day…” a few times and the show wasn’t given any justice in the dvd… in person it was such a beautiful show an experience. The DVD never truly captured the beauty of the show in my opinion… and I sat everywhere from the first row to the balcony and it was one of the rare occasions where the balcony seats where actually better than the floor ones, there was so much going on that a “Birds Eye” view was the best way to experience it.

I personally don’t need another Cirque show per se but I’d love another show that has similar effects of A New Day.

This about sums it up it seems, they got organised as one and put their (red)  thinking caps on and became a force

I think the red caps and name  might not look or sound cool but it's effective..

So happy to have been able to get a 10th row for the opening night !!!

Last time I saw Céline was in 2019, at the Hyde Park concert. I m so excited to see her live again. I wonder how will be her voice! There will be a lot of tension on the first night.

7 years ago in London, I had the chance to meet Ricardo, a fan from Malaga, maybe he s on the forum. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch. If you read me, it would be good to see you again.

My guess was that it’s seats next to an aisle, at the end of a row. I could be wrong though, I genuinely have no idea.

Reportedly, as an exception, there will be no opening act for the first show on 12 September. All other dates are expected to feature an opening act. Don’t know about the source or legitimacy of that information though.

I remember reading that I think in Le Parisien during a Q&A. To be honest Celine her opening acts are mostly so cringe, definitely don't do her justice at all.

The Corrs were the only ones that were good.

I find it funny that not a word on social media now on her selling out. There are much complaints to be found bout the whole fiasco of this sale and being kicked out before able to buy a ticket. Even on the celinedionfangroup on FB. I wonder if they will give a reaction, on the other hand it's sold out they have the money so nobody's cares I guess

My first thought is are they planning on Celine starting slightly earlier to allow for the inevitable standing ovation which will last ages. The crowd interaction will be insane that first night

Really hope they’ll do a live-feed somewhere for the  first song(s) like they did with her return to Vegas and one of the Paris shows in 2016.

So is there any way to get tickets without having to sell a kidney now it's all sold out ?

I don’t think a kidney would get you a ticket. People can live with just one!

I’m intrigued by this. Maybe they’ll annouce a BIG name to be the opening act for the premiere?

It is a pilgrimage! And you are absolutely right!

And as much I love to complain about her setlist, like for example if she still ends with LCCM/RDMH/MHWGO I will still roll my eyes and at the same time I'm standing on my chair screaming my lungs out. 😇

I'm really curious if her SPS has an effect on song choice. I don't care about playback, new recorded vocals would be amazing!

They must film opening night professionally!

We know it had an effect over the last 20 years, Céline told us that much. If anything, a voice “freed” by adequate treatment should remove some of the constraints.
