Her English albums could be so much better if Celine got out of her own head. Stick with her original recipe and not try to sound like Sia or anyone else.

Yeah, but lately Sia songs have been some of her better songs. So many are forgettable. You can't tell me that most modern writers wouldn't be thrilled to pen a track for her.

We know that when Celine really wants something… So ask to make it happen. I’m not sure why she doesn’t take that same approach when it comes to her English albums. She wanted to speak her first words since her diagnosis on vogue magazine and made it happen by reaching out to them.

Loved Me Back To Life is amazing ❤️. I wish SIA would have written the whole album. Heart Of Glass is also amazing, but the production sucks. Edited by comingback

Would love to see her work with Slimane.

He once covered PQTME and his last song for Lara I find that one very beautiful!

 

I know quality over quantity, but I would love 20 new French songs :giggle:

 

But a bilingual album would also be a nice welcome.

If she can find writers that have the same vibe in english and french it could work.

It's funny how among her fanbase , there are 2 categories : the french speaking side prefers the english stuff and the international one the french albums.

 

The last 3 french albums are barely talked about among her french fans.

 

I think it's because french albums are seen as more stripped ( and for sure they are) and therefore maybe better, more artistic.

 

But the thing is we ( french speaking people) live in this culture and among all the french stuff on the market , her last french albums are poor...

Please give us some more feedback as to why D'elles, Sans Attendre and Encore Un Soir are viewed as poor. I thought the latter had resonated with the public since they're blockbusters, so I'm really curious to know.

 

Overall, I do prefer her French catalogue to the Anglophone. More mature lyrics, variety of themes, more subtle/emotional singing.

I finally read the interview. I thought it was going to be longer and more in-depth, with new updates and insights. A lot of it was familar territory for us fans. Still some amazing quotes from her; I particularly liked the creative questions about celebrity/disillusionment. The identity question felt like a little bit of a trap. Most importantly, now we know we know she's working 5 days a week with rigorous, comprehensive therapy and is determined & steadfast.

 

I guess the documentary will be more revealing. I agree that it's odd that didn't mention the documentary in the interview. Another missed marketing opportunity by Team Celine.
