All indications are she’s back in Vegas, we haven’t seen her in NYC anymore Paris. Hopefully she made some more pitstops in NYC before she left.

When she flies to Europe she usually spends a full day at the hotel resting before coming out due to jet lag.

 

But I couldn’t see her coming to Paris twice within a month or staying in Paris for over a whole month either and Paris Fashion week has already started so I doubt she’s in Paris, but you never know!

She was visibly overwhelmed and nervous (said her knees were shaking at some point) but I can imagine her performing. (The woman we see in the doc clearly can not.)

Now, could she do it in the world’s biggest stage, with all the stress that entails? And after 4.5 years away, to come back with a bang like that, not gradual baby steps?

It’s asking a lot of her. But it’s also obvious she can’t wait to be performing again, and maybe having a lofty goal has actually helped her rehabilitation.

A true Shakespearen drama, a true olympic comeback story, if you will. Very on brand for Celine.

 

On the one hand - yes, it’s a huge global audience. But, it’s not in a stadium, so actual live audience for the performances will be smaller than at Olympics past. It’s not a 2-hr show, just one song, so physically it might be something she’s more able to handle now than an entire concert. And like most massive global televised events, it’s probably not going to be “live” live.

I can't imagine the pressure if the world is expecting you to sing and you have to cancel. One thing is a LV show where it is your fans coming to see you and another when it is now the whole world. And how would that impact an announcement of LV.

They already have a lot of contingency plans, given the ceremony is so unusual. It's in a public space, so they can't rehearse it in full, for instance, or in the actual place where it'll happen. Weather/ wind could wreck havoc on La Seine and affect boat traffic, etc.

For events like this, there's always a Plan B and a Plan C.

(Incidentally, just today I got one of those Facebook memories messages - exactly 12 years ago today, Jun 19 2012, is when we started rehearsing in the stadium for the opening of London 2012. 😍)

I would love love to see Celine sing at the Olympics it would be the ultimate comeback. I just do not want her to put any undo pressure on herself and cause a setback in her progress. I only want to see her healthy and happy however and wherever that may be.

There are enough of us fans to fill LV a few times over and I think we all will gladly fork over the money even knowing she may have to cancel. Now if she was trying to do a world concert that might be different.

In one way singing for the Olympics would be quite easy. It s normally outside she won t see the crowd or by far, it s accepted to be in playback I would say. She can be in her Bubble in some ways. It s more theatrical than stage feeling. That would be a first approach to work on several aspects without taking too much risks.
