I got to say it... I will never understand the hype around ''Nothing Broken But My Heart''.

 

I can say that it’s one of her best ballads ever. And the performances of the song are vocally amazing.

It’s one of Diane Warren’s finest. The arrangement is breathtaking, her vocal is pristine. The message that you may have broken my heart, but you didn’t break me is genius. It’s so great!

My favorite Warren song is Because You Loved Me, but Nothing Broken But My Heart comes very close and is one her best ballads. Team Diane/Celine at their best

My votes for the "Celine Dion" album era are:

 

1) Love Can Move Mountains - Sorry guys. I love this song. I know Celine has gotten lazy with it in recent years but it's still one of her few dance songs and it's a "hit" for a reason. Love the message.

 

2) Beauty and the Beast - Her big Disney song. I almost think its required to be in this show. It's why a lot of us (including yours truly) became fans.

 

3) If You Asked Me To - Yes, it just had a resurgence but I think it should stick around.

 

4) Water From The Moon - One of the must underrated songs from that album and criminal that she hasn't performed it since (checks notes) the early 90's during her TV appearances where she sang the song.

To choose from Celine Dion is very difficult, because all the songs are gems. IMO this album has not fillers.

 

In no specific order:

1) Beauty And The Beast - this is THE Disney song and a major breakthrough in her career. BUT I will only stand it if a) they perform the full song and not the butched version we had in recent tours. it is with Peabo Bryson either live or on tape. Cos Barnev, thanks but no thanks!

2) Nothing Broken But My Heart - one of her finest ballads. And this is a love song after a break up, but I think seeing it now after a loss of René, she would sing it with a new kind of emotion

3) If You Could See Me Now - another amazing ballad from this album. I've always wondered how she would smash it live!

4) Water From The Moon - this album is heavy on the ballads side. I'd like to have included an up tempo song here, but this song is just too good not to hear live again! Very underrated and it's a shame NBBMH and WFT didn't become bigger hits.

• Love Doesn't Ask Why, because it is a gorgeous ballad that needs to be performed live.
  
• Only One Road, because it is one of the most nostalgic songs of the album, perfectly encapsulating its vintage vibe.
  
• I Remember L.A. for all reasons stated above.
  
• The Colour Of My Love because it perfectly represents the album and holds so much meaning for Celine.
  

That said I will be happy if any of the following make it to the list: The Power Of Love, Misled, Think Twice, When I Fall In Love, Refuse To Dance, Just Walk Away.

No, he wrote it right. 01/11/2023 is 11/01/2023 here in the States. Because we love being confusing and not doing anything the rest of the known world does it.

 

As for my votes, good lord this was a toughie. But here's what I've decided on this round:

 

1) The Power Of Love - It's a hit for a reason. And like others have said, I have no doubt she was singing to/about Rene.

2) The Colour of My Love - The reason for this one should be obvious - it's Celine & Rene's song.

3) Think Twice - This one was never on my radar until late into my Celine fandom. And man is it a shame it never took off here in the States.

4) Just Walk Away - This one had always been one of my favorites but the song (especially the first verse and chorus) changed after Rene died.

 

PS Just saw we're doing Falling Into You next. I'll just start bashing my head into a wall now...
