I agree, although she very visibly had health issues at the start of 2019 too. Not to mention previous health issues that we knew about. All adds up now.

 

Yeah I am not saying she wasn't suffering yet, but my guess is that the adrenaline kept her going for years, making the symptoms less apparent. It did go rather quick tho. When you look at photo's from 2017 she looked so good! Like she found herself again. 2018 she still looked great but in 2019 she started to look so thin and fragile. She blamed that on the ballet at the time, not know it was this syndrome from hell she was going to face.

 

Either way, I am praying she is doing better, or at least is finding a way to cope with the decease. I am longing for a word from her. Even if it's just to say hi. I hope she knows how much we miss her.

I totally agree, had the same feeling whatching CWT.

 

She was looking so good in 2017 and her voice was on fire. In 2019 she was really thin and looked like something was not right with her health. It was such a big difference… I think, but I don’t know off course, that she was suffering already but they did not know why.

April 2003. On the tarmac at Roissy-CDG, 400 personalities, including Daniela Lumbroso and Orlando, prepare for a memorable weekend. Eager to show their friends their first show in Las Vegas, Celine Dion and René Angélil invited them to join them. "It was a great idea, unheard of in French showbiz ," Orlando recalls. First giggle at the sight of the Boeing 747 chartered by the Quebec star. "Given its condition, we wondered if we were going to get to Vegas or Bordeaux," recalls Dalida's brother and producer. Gilbert Coullier, Céline's producer, struggles: "Airline pilots and air traffic controllers were on strike, but I managed to get the 747 to take off..."

In the cabin, the bursts of laughter continue. “The beds look like vaults. Looking up to talk to each other, we felt like we were in a cemetery,” Orlando recalls. Gilbert Coullier did things well. Caviar for everyone. After eleven hours of nonstop flight, the 747 lands in Nevada. “Céline receives us with champagne in her dressing room before the show, joking. Dalida, she did not want to see anyone, ” says Orlando. He will be one of the first in the world to discover the hall of the Colosseum at Caesar Palace. “We built it custom-made for Céline. Proximity to the public was his main concern, remembers Vincent Berthiaume-Bergé, vice-president of Scéno Plus. The pattern in Vegas was two shows a night at 7 and 9 p.m. Celine, who was going to sing 40 out of 52 weeks for three years, had to protect her voice. The trick was to do a show per evening by increasing the gauge from 1,500 to 4,000 seats.

On the Strip, Celine Dion will perform 700 sold-out times until 2007. Five years later, she returns for a second residency, called Celine, which will end in 2019. This time, it is more about 'a concert. In a painting, she sings duets with holograms. There's Elvis', Stevie Wonder's and even his own. Highlight of the show: the star emerges in the middle of the crowd and multiplies the selfies. "The room was twice the Olympia, but we had the impression of being in a setting close to the artist, remembers Lionel Baert at the head of the site Of Art, who went there in 2012. At the end , on the song of Titanic, which she interpreted while rising towards the hangers like an angel, everyone was crying, caught up in the magic of her voice. All is not rosy

In sixteen years, the diva will have sung 1,141 evenings in front of 4.5 million spectators. A gold mine for the casinos, because this flow of spectators crosses the gaming rooms. She did more for Vegas than Elvis and Sinatra. She has revolutionized the habits of the gambling capital and those of international artists. Her success convinced Adele, Cher, Britney Spears to perform in Vegas,” says Scott Roeben, who knows the star well from having worked at Caesars Palace and runs “Vital Vegas,” the city's most influential blog.

However, in 2001, when René attempted this gamble, no one believed that he would win the day. At 33, Céline is at the height of her glory. Vegas is the siding of has-beens like Paul Anka. Since the attacks of September 11, the gambling capital has been at half mast. Céline wants to please her husband, who is recovering from throat cancer. Devoured by a passion for gambling, he has always frequented Vegas. “He was there with his friends, with whom he has very strong friendships. "Céline also wants to raise her little boy René-Charles in a real fixed home," says Jean-Pierre Pasqualini of Melody TV. She will go on tour again when he is old enough to discover the world and will return to Vegas when the twins are born. The couple settled half an hour from Vegas, in Henderson. “In this oasis for billionaires, you have to go through four security checks before arriving at their property”, explains Laurence Pieau (*). Celine goes to Caesar Palace like others go to the office. No sooner had the curtain fallen than she was already in her car, which was speeding towards the house by the lake. In Paris Match, she reveals that after three years, “everything had become insurmountable physically, emotionally and mentally. René disappeared in the gambling halls. I saw him less and less, and, at home, he fell asleep in his armchair, while I worked. She's talking to him. He gives up roulette and blackjack, but keeps poker. “Initially, Céline was not really taken seriously , recalls Scott Roeben. Vegas financiers and elected officials didn't think fans around the world would turn up and her repertoire was popular enough. The tidal wave stunned everyone. In the spring of 2021, Las Vegas is in a trance. Celine Dion announces a third residency. In November 2021, she is due to open the 5,000-seat venue at Resorts World (RW) at the northern end of the Strip. “We designed the room for international artists, but with Céline Dion as master stallion, explains Olivier Berthiaume-Bergé, who worked with François Desjardin, the star's sound engineer and the French company L-Acoustics. Under the stage are hidden two levels of the same area which store the sets of three productions at actual height. In September 2021, Céline's team installs its light effects and videos. With these virtual sets, the show was going to be more modern than that of Caesar Palace. “Her dressing room, a 200 square meter apartment with massage therapy room, is directly connected to the “meet and greet” room where she poses with the guests, explains Olivier Berthiaume-Bergé. A private elevator goes down to the garage, which ensures better security.

Her first series of concerts is scheduled for November 2021. “Céline attended the sound tests carried out by singer Carrie Underwood, but, because of her health, she has never yet performed at RW”, regrets Olivier Berthiaume- Bank. The derivatives shop that her admirers intended to rob is closed. Its sets are stored in a secret shed. For now. "We still have the hope that she will resume her dates," said Vincent Berthiaume-Bergé.

Avril 2003. Sur le tarmac à Roissy-CDG, 400 personnalités, dont Daniela Lumbroso et Orlando, se préparent à vivre un week-end mémorable. Désireux de montrer à leurs amis leur premier show à Las Vegas, Céline Dion et René Angélil les ont invités à les rejoindre. «C’était une idée formidable, du jamais vu dans le showbiz français», se souvient Orlando. Premier fou rire à la vue du Boeing 747 affrété par la star québécoise. «Vu son état, on s’est demandé si on allait arriver à Vegas ou à Bordeaux», se souvient le frère et producteur de Dalida. Gilbert Coullier, le producteur de Céline, se démène: «Les pilotes de lignes et les aiguilleurs du ciel étaient en grève, mais j’ai réussi à faire en sorte que le 747 décolle…»

Dans la cabine, les éclats de rire se poursuivent. «Les lits ressemblent à des caveaux. En levant la tête pour se parler, on avait l’impression d’être dans un cimetière», se rappelle Orlando. Gilbert Coullier a bien fait les choses. Caviar pour tout le monde. Après onze heures de vol sans escale, le 747 se pose dans le Nevada. «Céline nous reçoit avec du champagne dans sa loge avant le show en plaisantant. Dalida, elle, ne voulait voir personne», raconte Orlando. Il sera l’un des premiers au monde à découvrir la salle du Colosseum au Caesar Palace. «Nous l’avons construit sur mesure pour Céline. La proximité avec le public était sa principale préoccupation, se souvient Vincent Berthiaume-Bergé, vice-président de Scéno Plus. Le modèle à Vegas était de deux shows par soir à 19 heures et 21 heures. Céline, qui allait chanter 40 semaines sur 52 pendant trois ans, devait protéger sa voix. L’astuce a été de faire un show par soir en faisant grimper la jauge de 1500 à 4000 fauteuils.»

L’excitation est à son comble. Ce spectacle, A New Day, est signé Franco Dragone, créateur de O. Ce show culte du Cirque du Soleil a longtemps justifié à lui seul un détour par Sin City. Dans le Colosseum, les notes de A New Day Has Come retentissent. La star descend un grand escalier. C’est parti pour 93 minutes de show millimétré avec 50 danseurs acrobates qui permettent à Céline de s’économiser. Un microclimat ultra-sophistiqué au centre de la scène préserve ses cordes vocales. The Power of Love en tailleur blanc, River Deep Mountain High avec les cheveux au vent et minirobe à franges… Des pianos et même un vélo façon E.T. volent dans les airs. «C’était fabuleux, la salle lui a fait un triomphe», raconte Orlando. Pendant le vol de retour, la fine équipe doit se contenter d’œufs de lump qu’Orlando décrit comme «des têtes de fourmis séchées». Gilbert Coullier s’est fait confisquer son caviar français par les douaniers américains.

Sur le Strip, Céline Dion va se produire 700 fois à guichets fermés jusqu’en 2007. Cinq ans plus tard, elle revient pour une seconde résidence, baptisée Céline, qui s’achèvera en 2019. Cette fois, il s’agit davantage d’un concert. Dans un tableau, elle chante des duos avec des hologrammes. Il y a celui d’Elvis, celui de Stevie Wonder et même le sien. Clou du spectacle: la star surgit au milieu de la foule et multiplie les selfies. «La salle faisait deux fois l’Olympia, mais on avait l’impression d’être dans un écrin proche de l’artiste, se souvient Lionel Baert à la tête du site Of Art, qui y est allé en 2012. À la fin, sur la chanson de Titanic, qu’elle interprétait en s’élevant vers les cintres comme un ange, tout le monde pleurait, happé par la magie de sa voix. Moi-même, j’ai été ému bien au-delà de ce que j’imaginais.» Le 8 juin 2019, Céline salue pour la dernière fois. Entourée de ses fils, elle chante Somewhere Over the Rainbow devant le portrait de René décédé trois ans plus tôt.

Tout n’est pas rose

En seize ans, la diva aura chanté 1 141 soirs devant 4,5 millions de spectateurs. Une mine d’or pour les casinos, car ce flot de spectateurs traverse les salles de jeu. «Elle a fait plus pour Vegas qu’Elvis et Sinatra. Elle a révolutionné les habitudes de la capitale du jeu et celles des artistes internationaux. Sa réussite a convaincu Adele, Cher, Britney Spears de se produire à Vegas», souligne Scott Roeben, qui connaît bien la star pour avoir travaillé au Caesar Palace et dirige «Vital Vegas», le blog le plus influent de la ville.

Pourtant, en 2001, quand René tente ce coup de poker, personne ne croit qu’il raflera la mise. À 33 ans, Céline est au sommet de sa gloire. Vegas, c’est la voie de garage des has been comme Paul Anka. Depuis les attentats du 11 Septembre, la capitale du jeu est en berne. Céline veut faire plaisir à son mari, qui se remet d’un cancer de la gorge. Dévoré par la passion du jeu, il fréquente Vegas depuis toujours. «Il s’y retrouvait avec ses copains, avec qui il a des liens d’amitié très forts. Ils surnommaient Vegas la Maison», raconte Céline dans ses mémoires. «René y avait son “burger” préféré dans le désert où il refaisait le monde sous les néons avec ses copains italiens, comme dans un film de Scorsese», se souvient le parolier Jacques Veneruso.

«Céline veut aussi élever son petit garçon René-Charles dans un vrai foyer fixe, précise Jean-Pierre Pasqualini de Melody TV. Elle repartira en tournée quand il sera en âge de découvrir le monde et reviendra à Vegas à la naissance des jumeaux.» Le couple s’installe à une demi-heure de Vegas, à Henderson. «Dans cette oasis pour milliardaires, il faut franchir quatre contrôles de sécurité avant d’arriver à sa propriété», explique Laurence Pieau (*). Céline va au Caesar Palace comme d’autres vont au bureau. À peine le rideau est-il retombé qu’elle est déjà dans sa voiture, qui file vers la maison au bord du lac. Elle veut être à l’heure pour border ses enfants. Tout n’est pas rose. Monter cinq soirs par semaine en talons de 12 centimètres sur une scène inclinée est éprouvant.

Dans Paris Match, elle révèle qu’au bout de trois ans, «tout était devenu insurmontable physiquement, émotionnellement et mentalement. René disparaissait dans les salons de jeu. Je le voyais de moins en moins, et, chez nous, il s’endormait dans son fauteuil, tandis que moi je travaillais.» Elle lui parle. Il abandonne la roulette et le black-jack, mais il conserve le poker. «Au départ, Céline n’était pas vraiment prise au sérieux, se souvient Scott Roeben. Les financiers et les élus de Vegas ne pensaient pas que les fans du monde entier se déplaceraient et que son répertoire était assez populaire. Le raz-de-marée a sidéré tout le monde. Elle a attiré cette clientèle aisée et légèrement senior qui dépense beaucoup. Pour la ville, sa résidence a été la plus lucrative de tous les temps.»

Au printemps 2021, Las Vegas est en transe. Céline Dion annonce une troisième résidence. En novembre 2021, elle doit inaugurer la salle de 5000 places du Resorts World (RW) à l’extrémité nord du Strip. «Nous avons conçu la salle pour des artistes internationaux, mais avec Céline Dion comme maître étalon, explique Olivier Berthiaume-Bergé, qui a travaillé avec François Desjardin, l’ingénieur du son de la star et la société française L-Acoustics. Le son est immersif, le moindre effet sonore est plus clair.» Sous la scène se cachent deux niveaux de même superficie qui stockent à hauteur réelle les décors de trois productions. En septembre 2021, l’équipe de Céline installe ses effets lumière et ses vidéos. Avec ces décors virtuels, le show allait être plus moderne que celui du Caesar Palace. «Sa loge, un appartement de 200 mètres carrés avec salle de massothérapie, est reliée directement à la pièce de “meet and greet” où elle pose avec les invités, détaille Olivier Berthiaume-Bergé. Un ascenseur privé descend au garage, ce qui lui assure une meilleure sécurité.»

Sa première série de concerts est calée en novembre 2021. «Céline a assisté aux tests de son faits par la chanteuse Carrie Underwood, mais, à cause de sa santé, elle ne s’est encore jamais produite au RW», regrette Olivier Berthiaume-Bergé. La boutique de produits dérivés que ses admirateurs comptaient dévaliser est fermée. Ses décors sont stockés dans un hangar secret. Pour le moment. «Nous avons toujours l’espoir qu’elle reprenne ses dates», dit Vincent Berthiaume-Bergé.

René Angélil and Céline have infinite gratitude for this discreet man. At the end of 2002, while the singer was preparing for her first residency in Las Vegas, “they came twice to say goodbye to Eddy at the American Hospital in Paris. Until the end, they phoned and I passed him the receiver , ” recalls his companion, Mia Dumont. In 2010, the couple baptized their twins in tribute to the most important men in their lives: Eddy (Marnay) and Nelson (Mandela).

Six years later, René's funeral begins to the sound of Three Twenty Hours , a title by Eddy Marnay. Mia Dumont will have spent four decades in the shadow of the couple. “I was their press officer, then the superfluous consultant such as the organization of their wedding and baptisms. I wrote the programs for the shows in Vegas, but my greatest pride, she explains, is to have suggested the creation of the archives of Céline's career. I also did this memory work for Eddy. Eddy Marnay finds her a record label, builds a team around her, presents her at Midem to professionals from all over the world, convinces Michel Drucker to receive her in the "Champs-Élysées", then registers her for Eurovision with Switzerland. “With us, Céline walked between 1982 and 1984, then her sales collapsed. She focused on Quebec and had nine years of crossing the desert in France, underlines Jean-Pierre Pasqualini. FM launched, NRJ in the lead, it was the old-fashioned service. She recalled Mireille Mathieu, another popular singer with a voice from a large family and of whom Marnay had also been the lyricist. Jean-Pierre Pasqualini remembers :“Seated next to me, Eddy Marnay spent the concert waiting for his songs, but Céline only sang one. In the billiard room studded with posters of Olympia artists, the star greets the rare reporters present by their first names , as René taught her, and hugs the septuagenarian lyricist. She is a planetary star, but Eddy Marnay remains the only man who intimidates her. “Sixty years apart, I worked for Maurice Chevalier and Celine Dion, the only two to have become stars in the United States. I have the dizzying feeling of having gone through a century of songs,” he said.

These Olympia are a turning point. Virginie Auclair, artistic director of Sony France, takes advantage of Céline's presence in Paris to introduce her to Jean-Jacques Goldman. In 1995, when the album D'eux, with Pour que tu m'aimes encore was released , it exploded on the French market.

À Montmartre, sa tombe est proche de celles de Dalida et de France Gall. Pour l'une, il a écrit Le Temps des fleurs ; pour l'autre, L'Amérique. Edmond David Bacri, dit Eddy Marnay (1920-2003), l'un des plus grands paroliers français du XXe siècle, l'auteur de Je vais à Rio, Mille colombes, Ivan, Boris et moi, est le grand oublié dans la légende de Céline Dion. « Avec sa flopée de tubes, comme Encore un soir ou Pour que tu m'aimes encore, nous la considérons comme française. Céline appartient à notre patrimoine. Et nous avons l'impression qu'elle est née grâce à Jean-Jacques Goldman, mais pas du tout. Sans Eddy Marnay (1), qui l'a guidée de ses 13 ans à ses 20 ans, elle n'aurait jamais fait carrière chez nous ni même aux États-Unis, souligne Jean-Pierre Pas­qualini, directeur artistique de Melody TV. Paradoxalement, la France est aujourd'hui un micromarché pour elle. Mais, grâce à Eddy Marnay, elle a un attachement fort à son répertoire français. »

René Angélil et Céline ont pour cet homme discret une reconnaissance infinie. Fin 2002, alors que la chanteuse prépare sa première résidence à Las Vegas, « ils sont venus deux fois dire au revoir à Eddy à l'Hôpital américain, à Paris. Jusqu'à la fin, ils téléphonaient et je lui passais le combiné », se souvient sa compagne, Mia Dumont. En 2010, le couple baptise leurs jumeaux en hommage aux hommes les plus importants de leur vie : Eddy (Marnay) et Nelson (Mandela). Six ans plus tard, les funérailles de René débutent au son de Trois heures vingt, un titre signé Eddy Marnay. Mia Dumont aura passé quatre décennies dans l'ombre du couple. « J'ai été leur attachée de presse, puis la consultante du superflu comme l'organisation de leur mariage et des baptêmes. J'ai écrit les programmes des shows à Vegas, mais, ma plus grande fierté, expli­que-­t-elle, est d'avoir suggéré la création des archives de la carrière de Céline. J'ai aussi fait ce travail de mémoire pour Eddy. Ses archives iront aux Franciscaines à Deauville et à l'INA. »

Dans ces documents, Eddy ­Marnay raconte que, en 1981, il doit écrire pour Ginette Reno, la Piaf québécoise, dont le manager est… René. L'album ne sera jamais enregistré, car, le temps qu'Eddy arrive à Montréal, René ne travaillait plus pour la star, et Eddy lui est resté solidaire. « Il me fait écouter la cassette d'une jeune fille qui chante remarquablement bien », se souvient le parolier. Écrire pour des femmes telles que Nana Mouskouri et Marie ­Laforêt, c'est une chose. Faire parler une jeune fille de 13 ans de ses émotions est moins évident. Heureusement, Eddy Marnay connaît le répertoire jeunesse, il a adapté les films d'animations Disney. Il en faut peu pour être heureux, chanté par l'ours Baloo dans Le Livre de la jungle, c'est lui. En France, il fait beaucoup plus que lui écrire ses cinq premiers albums, dont deux tubes, D'amour ou d'amitié et Mon ami m'a quittée. « Quand je regarde My Fair Lady, c'est troublant, confie Mia Dumont. Céline a la grâce d'Audrey Hepburn, et le pygmalion est un mélange d'Eddy et de René. »

Eddy Marnay lui trouve sa maison de disques, constitue une équipe autour d'elle, la présente lors du ­Midem aux professionnels du monde entier, convainc Michel Drucker de la recevoir dans « Champs-Élysées », puis l'inscrit à l'Eurovision avec la Suisse. « C'était bizarre, je ne connaissais même pas ce pays », avoue Céline dans le magazine ­Platine.

« Chez nous, Céline a marchoté entre 1982 et 1984, puis ses ventes se sont effondrées. Elle s'est concentrée sur le Québec et a connu neuf ans de traversée du désert en France, souligne Jean-Pierre Pasqualini. La FM se lançait, NRJ en tête, elle était la ringarde de service. Elle rappelait ­Mireille Mathieu, autre chanteuse populaire à voix issue d'une famille nombreuse et dont Marnay avait aussi été le parolier. Et elle n'était pas jolie. Sa terrible dentition la complexait. Fagotée “à l'anglaise” avec ses tenues à crinoline, elle détonnait face au look jean-sweat-shirt de ­Vanessa Paradis. » Chanter La Religieuse, de Didier Barbelivien, quand les radios diffusent Étienne, de Guesch Patti, n'a intéressé personne. « Cela a marché super gros quand j'avais 14 ans, ensuite je suis revenue maintes fois sans obtenir de résultats positifs », dit-elle en 1994 dans Platine. En 1987, « Luc Plamondon lui propose le rôle de Marie-Jeanne dans Starmania au Théâtre de Paris, mais René lançait Céline aux États-Unis », se rappelle le producteur Gilbert Coullier. Sa victoire à l'Eurovision en 1988 avec Ne partez pas sans moi aide à convaincre les Américains, mais ne modifie en rien son image en France.

Les Olympia, un tournant

Désespérée, la maison de disques à Paris la confie à Dominique Segall, le communicant du septième art. « C'était l'horreur, aucun média ne voulait de cette chanteuse de variétoche. Même Drucker ne la trouvait plus du tout formidable », se souvient l'un de ceux qui se sont occupés d'elle. On l'a fait venir à Paris. Elle a été logée à l'économie dans un appart hôtel. Elle venait de percer aux États-Unis avec Where Does My Heart Beat Now, et elle était déjà habituée aux palaces. Le lendemain matin, elle et René avaient disparu. Faute de room service, ils s'étaient réfugiés au milieu de la nuit à l'Intercontinental. Ils avaient deux chambres communicantes, car leur amour était encore secret. » Quatre mois plus tard, sa reprise de Ziggy est numéro deux au Top 50. « C'est reparti sur un titre ! Là, on a eu Jacques Martin, deux Drucker, un Patrick Sébastien », raconte le communicant, qui ne souhaite pas que son nom apparaisse. En octobre 1993, René demande à ­Gilbert Coullier de réserver trois Olympia. « C'était complet, mais elle n'était toujours pas tendance, se souvient le producteur. Mon épouse ­Nicole a essayé de faire une “belle” salle en invitant des personnalités, mais seuls sont venus Michel Drucker et Monique Le Marcis, directrice de la programmation musicale de RTL. » Jean-Pierre Pasqualini se souvient : « Assis à côté de moi, Eddy Marnay a passé le concert à attendre ses chansons, mais Céline n'en a chanté qu'une seule. Il a eu du mal à encaisser, mais, à 25 ans, Céline ne pouvait plus chanter des bluettes d'adolescente. » Dans la salle de billard constellée d'affiches des artistes de l'Olympia, la star salue par leur prénom les rares reporters présents, comme le lui a appris René, et prend dans ses bras le parolier septuagénaire. Elle est une star planétaire, mais Eddy Marnay reste le seul homme qui l'intimide. « À soixante ans d'écart, j'ai travaillé pour Maurice Chevalier et Céline Dion, les deux seuls à être devenus des vedettes aux États-Unis. J'ai la sensation vertigineuse d'avoir parcouru un siècle de chansons », dira-t-il.

Ces Olympia sont un tournant. Virginie Auclair, responsable artistique de Sony France, profite de la présence de Céline à Paris pour lui présenter Jean-Jacques Goldman. En 1995, à la sortie de l'album D'eux, avec Pour que tu m'aimes encore, elle explose sur le marché français.

Les deux Stade de France en 1999, la consécration

Après S'il suffisait d'aimer, en 1998, Jean-Jacques Goldman la confie à son ami Jacques Veneruso, qui lui offre Sous le vent et Parlez à mon père. « Quand on a enregistré l'album Une fille & quatre types, avec Jean-Jacques, à Vegas, ils étaient soumis à une pression énorme. On leur a apporté le côté français, la détente tout en travaillant », raconte Jacques Veneruso. Tous ceux qui ont travaillé avec elle en France, comme Alexandre Barbera, qui enregistrera toutes ses émissions de télévision à partir de 2012, décrivent « une artiste extrêmement professionnelle et gentille, à qui on peut tout demander même au dernier moment ».

Zénith, Bercy… Pendant vingt ans, Gilbert Coullier produit la star à guichets fermés. La consécration, ce sont les deux Stade de France en 1999. À la disparition de René, en 2016, ses concerts en France passent sous la houlette du géant américain AEG. Céline revient pour la dernière fois sur scène dans l'Hexagone en 2017. Pour les uns, elle est devenue branchée après la mort de René. Pour d'autres, c'était fait depuis Jean-Jacques Goldman et ­Vegas. Dans « Quotidien », l'émission de Yann Barthès, comme au micro de Laurent Gerra, elle reste un sujet de ricanements. En quarante et un ans de carrière, elle aura traversé ­l'Atlantique des dizaines de fois pour assurer la promotion de ses albums, assister à la Fashion Week et faire du shopping avenue Montaigne avec Nicole ­Coullier. Elle est venue seulement sept fois chanter sur scène. C'est finalement très peu.
