Is your middle name “dark cloud?” You’ve added nothing but impending doom to this forum since you popped up on here lol.

I’m sorry I’m scared for her ! And for us and I feel if I set my expectations low I won’t be disappointed lol. It’s just so odd for her to be so silent

The movie is still on to be released in may next year, not december

Yes, I know. I was saying the dates for the tribute album were moved back and forth just as they were with the movie she is starring in.

I love the 1994 vocals and can't wait to hear the whole song. But I can't help thinking her condition must be serious if she just can't vocalize to get her voice in shape to spend a few hours in the studio recording a song which is not demanding by her standards.

She's never been a reclusive artist like Kate Bush, Mylene Farmer or even Jean-Jacques Goldman. It was quite the opposite. She had a camera everywhere she was in the 90s and 2000s. The contrast is too sharp. Some official information is long overdue now. I understand it's her privacy but it would prevent romours to spread.

I have had this globus sensation a couple of years ago and still have problems with reflux. But back then it was really awful. It felt like I swallowed my adam’s apple. I don’t know it is the same like Celine’s but it was also called Globus sensation

True, but we don't know when she was asked to record this song. Could have been a while ago, so it makes sense she was not ready in the past. But if it's more recent, then it's disheartening.

I had it too. My throat felt constricted and like something was permanently lodged in my throat. Felt a bit crazy which made it worse and had constant urge to swallow. Not fun.

Well, even if it isn’t new vocals the song is still gorgeous!!! Love that they did another take on this song. Dare I say it’s even better the original. It’s just beautiful :wub2: I just love those opening vocals so much!

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

The new version is GORGEOUS

I liked how it's just her solo, and not those vocalizes all over the place...

The new instrumental is more clean and it fits more...

Loving it… The start and ending of the song with just her and the piano is so good!

In love with the first seconds  those vocals.

Makes me want to have that acoustic show, but I doubt that will ever happen.

It's a nice version but for me that's it. Nothing more nothing less.

Beautiful, just as the original. Nice to hear an alternate version.

Wow, gorgeous! Why are yall saying this is an old take? I'm under the impression this is a recent recording, and I think her vocals sound better than ever!

Maybe because the producer of the album told he wanted Celine to sing, she said she wasnt ready so he took a 1994 alternate vocal track of the D’eux recording and add a new music.

Yes, it sounds wonderful. Really highlights again just how nice a song it is. Her voice sounds so fresh and clear...almost like a totally different tone to the rest of the album. I wonder how much earlier she recorded that take than the one they used, or if she was directed to sing it in a different way by the producers.

Glad to have something (official) new.

Way to clear that up for me in the rudest way possible, thanks!

Here’s some (new?) footage from the recording studio! She’s “singing” PQTME and also a clip of Érick Benzi isolating her vocals on LMDA!!!

Maybe 2007 - 2010? Her hair looks dark there.

I had an epiphany this morning…

For the past 20+ years I’ve known this song, it’s been a go-to song for when I’ve experienced a loss. The theme of searching for meaning during dark, uncertain times allows you to feel pain, sadness and grief but without losing hope. In the past few months (in anticipation of the new version) I’ve been relistening to it constantly, and discovering deeper layers than before, like peeling back layers of an onion.

But today when I got in the shower and started to sing it, it suddenly hit me how poignant of a choice this was for Céline to present for the Goldman album. She’s known about her condition far longer than she’s let on, and I think this song is her way of *artistically* expressing what she’s feeling right now. It’s even more amazing with that insight.

It really hits the spot right now, doesn’t it?

Reminds me of when « Encore un soir » was released
