Is it worth watching like are there performances will be shown or just talking while pictures and videos of Céline in the background? I believe it is this same "documentary" and so just two entertainment journalists giving a history of her life and career. Nothing new and even a few things get wrong. But not too bad to watch for free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f07IuNfTcn4&t=883s 1 Quote 'I am, in life and death, the woman of only one man.' Celine Dion My Story, My Dream

I agree we don't need hagiographies. But in Celine's case, she basically gave Irene free reign to film anything. And I guess the kicker is that Celine probably had final approval, but she left everything in as far as we know. And Celine was intentionally involved directly because she wanted to tell her current story of living with SPS. And it was not all glamour -- she was without makeup, crying and in pain, had a seizure, etc. Edited June 4, 2025 at 08:48 AM by PuraVida 1 Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted June 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM Posted June 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM Is it realistic to expect a physical release of this documentary? He may be the most annoying interviewer I have ever seen. Aside from that, I absolutely adore the appreciation Wyn Starks has shown regarding his song being used in the documentary. Every time he’s asked about it, it’s like he’s still in complete disbelief. Abodi2002 Posted June 14, 2025 at 03:16 AM Posted June 14, 2025 at 03:16 AM So as a long time fan it may be a surprise to some of you did it has taken me this long to be able to watch the documentary. However I was finally able to watch it today and it’s entirety! It was definitely an emotional roller coaster. My mom and her boyfriend were describing everything that they could as it was going on. First of all I did not realize how many clothes and pairs of shoes she had lol. I had thought that was somewhat of an exaggeration before. I loved that her kids were shown as much as they were. A lot of heartwarming moments for sure. This documentary shows how much of a perfectionist she strides to be, arguably the best example of that ever is seen toward the end when she keeps redoing the first verse and chorus of love again, even when a lot of her attempts did not sound bad at all. That episode was definitely tough. I couldn’t see it but my mom said they used nasal spray to try to help her come out of it. I am sure that it took a lot out of her in general too really show what she was going through in such a open and personal way for the first time ever. I’m sure I will probably be back with more thoughts or little side notes later on. Unfortunately anytime I try to use the forum on my regular phone I can only use the messaging feature and maybe reply in one or two topics rarely. Most topics just sit there loading for forever and ever no matter what web browser I use. This means I have to use my old iPhone 7 to view or reply most of the time 5 Quote

PuraVida Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:23 AM Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:23 AM Coincidentally, I decided to read some reviews of the film online. I plan on reading more, but this was the first one I opened: "I think the documentary doesn't delve into anything. You don't know if it wants to portray her life, career, or health condition. It tries to bring everything at once, but fails to deliver anything with much richness of detail. Apart from that, there are unnecessary scenes. Fans of the singer would want more depth at certain points than the essay of a text congratulating another singer, for example." Quote
comingback Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:29 AM Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:29 AM Yes the J. Farnham part was unnecessary. But it's still a great documentary. 2 Quote
PuraVida Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:40 AM Posted June 17, 2025 at 11:40 AM I love reading the reviews no matter how many stars the reviewer gave the docu to hear all the perspectives, but the average rating being 3.8 stars feels about right. I'm sure I will probably be back with more thoughts or little side notes later on.
