The fact Celine is listed as one of the stars might mean that the original character from the german film/novel has been given a bit of a bigger role (hopefully). I don't think she's playing herself but a fictional singer, perhaps has her own story of loss just like the 2 main leads. Whatever the extent of the role is it's a start and I'm very excited.
