Celine has to come back with a big explosion. She has been out for almost 2 years. As much as I hope and pray for her to get better very soon but I find this very troublesome that Celine hasn't done anything for few months and nothing quite big for more than a year. Maybe we'll get an album or something to speed up the recovery from this pandemic, who knows.

Sorry to say this, but I have this feeling that "Courage" might very well be the VERY LAST NEW ALBUM from Celine, & not only because of this pandemic (which yes I know has changed NUMEROUS THINGS in the world compared to a year & a half ago, pretty much has changed everything pre-2020!)

 

But I really fear that the health issues that has caused Celine to cancel all those months of shows is MUCH WORSE THAN WE ALL KNOW right now! (& obviously it is too soon for Celine to discuss in more details about everything thats going on, just like it tooks us fans a while before we heard about Renes cancer coming back & getting worse after she went on a year-long hiatus in 2014... & this current situation, minus the pandemic, seems VERY SIMILAR to the situation in 2014... Sad to say, we all SHOULD NOT BE SURPRISED if the "Courage World Tour" gets yet another postponement as well because of Celines health (though I REALLY HOPE NOT as I have been waiting to see Celine in Washington DC in almost 2 YEARS now! But I am also trying to mentally PREPARE MYSELF for that possibility to happen, just like the possibility of the "Courage" album being her last album if her health is as bad as I think it might be right now... (The ONLY POSSIBILITY of a new album is if Celine & Sony decide to use the tracks the Celine recorded that were not chosen for "Courage", but the chances of that are zip to nilche @ this point, as "Courage" was a failure of overall sales in 2019... Sorry but it was, the "Courage" album was #1 for the first week, but then TOTALLY FREEFALLED almost completely off the charts on week #2, making the record book for the "biggest chart fall ever for an album that debuted at #1", & it is real, I have the link for the article that mentions it... So based on that alone, I do much doubt Sony will have any interest in making an album of Celines non-picked tracks anytime soon, or in this never-ending pandemic, ever! 😥💔

Yeah, she had two car accidents- both in her biography. She was hit by a car as a small child playing and also got into an accident when she was driving home during the filming of Des Fleurs.

 

Hmmm really I do not really remember much mentioning from Celine, (or Rene or anybody else,) about those 2 car accidents, & sorry that I do NOT have ANY access to "My Story, My Dream", or "For Keeps" anymore... Due to multiple home moves years ago, before my kids were born, (its a long story,) I have lost ALOT of stuff in the moving processes, such as BOOKS, CDs, DVDs, etc... & that includes "My Story, My Dream", & "For Keeps"... Now I started using Amazon Kindles & have my book collection ALL DIGITAL now (& ALL of my music & movie collection is DIGITAL as well, no more CDs & DVDs, havent had to buy either in over a decade now!) & I have been able to replace most of my book collection with e-book versions on my Kindle Fire (EXCEPT for Celines 2 aforementioned biographies which so far have NOT BEEN AVAILABLE through digital forms... Such a bummer as it makes those 2 books SO HARD for me to find as since they are not available on Amazon, & bookstores are not much around these days, the only downfall of the digital era sad to say!)

 

Well anyway, WOW that she had survived 2 car accidents! Did Celine mention ANY DAMAGE she had from those accidents (IF she had mentioned ANYTHING about that @ all?) I knew & understood that Celine (& Rene,) tried to pretty much SHIELD & SHELTER us fans (& essentially Celine herself,) from all of the BAD THINGS in the world, such as the more darker details of Celines life & career, by painting her life & career in pretty pastels & rainbows, but in my opinions, keeps us fans, & the general public, in the dark about ceetain things that has happened to Celine such as the car accidents & the aftermath... (& ironically, what we are going through RIGHT NOW, as we are IN THE COMPLETE DARK about potential health crisis she could be going through as we speak!) 😣😔

I was gonna say that as well. Lady Gaga's show meanwhile at Park MGM is apparently a stellar show that, from the few short videos I've seen, looks expensive and classy.

I mean… since the courage tour was delayed we really haven't heard that much from her. I suspect it'll be that same way. As if the Vegas show wasn't even going to happen in the first place right now. She'll start to pick up steam in late February I presume.

He told a tale from those early Colosseum days, how Dion’s late husband and manager René Angélil recorded rehearsals of her new concert residency “A New Day” and had the footage fashioned into a bit of a film, one without a live audience. The first time Dion had to postpone a show because she was sick, probably some time in 2003 or 2004, Angélil asked if the movie should be played for the audience instead.

 

It didn’t happen then and nothing like that will happen now as Dion is being treated for severe muscle spasms. The entire cast and crew of her new Resorts World production remains in Las Vegas going through the motions of rehearsal, even without any show dates coming up on the calendar. Both Nelson and AEG Senior Vice President Bobby Reynolds said during Tuesday’s tour they would love to cook up some sort of new opening concert or show to fill in for Dion’s cancelled dates in November, but it’s not likely to come together. It is, after all, a dynamic 5,000-seat venue that requires plenty of preparation and marketing and much more time to deliver a stellar experience. And after strolling through the Theatre at Resorts World, it’s clear that whenever the place opens, it will be a spectacular occasion.’

so here we can see how big of a fan Rene was when he recorded the rehersals. He knew what do do and which decisions to take. Nowadays we dont get to see anything.

I've never seen anything about it. I knew she was having problems about her stomach like gastritis, so she took some time off to rest.

Does anyone know if the documentary is currently filming? I would imagine they had wanted to record the rehearsals for her new show to use the run up to the opening night as a kind of structure for the documentary (rehearsalsand backstage footage interspersed with interviews and other footage). If this is the case, the project just became a lot more interesting and compelling...

maybe what was shown was the rehersal footage and we assumed that it was the official dvd that got cancelled. Or maybe that guy thought it was rehersal footage, but it was the dvd. It’s hard to say. There were once pics from it on this forum that people took that night. Are they still available?
