This topic kinda feels like 2009/2010 when celine was on a break and giving birth to the twins and the only news was speculation on if she would return to Vegas or not!

Agreed. This whole time during the pandemic / Celine being on a break reminds me very much of 2009/2010 when she was totally off the radar.

 

I'm hopeful that this forced break is giving her some more time to reset, recharge, and rest her voice.

I’m not sure Celine would even open this theatre, since the delayed tour. I wish she was the artist to cut the red ribbon, wonder who will?

 

Once shows are able to begin the will start performances, highly unlikely they can wait for Celine for money reasons, they won’t let that theater sit empty.

Katy Perry is planning a Las Vegas residency at The Theatre at Resorts World to start later this year, sources tell Billboard. The residency is expected to run into 2022.

 

Resorts World is Las Vegas' first new-from-the-ground-up casino-resort on the Strip in more than a decade. The 5,000-capacity Theater will run as a joint development in partnership with AEG Presents, exclusively programmed and operated by its Concerts West division.

 

Since 2019, when Live Nation took over management of the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, AEG has been without an exclusive marquee venue in Las Vegas, but with the new Resorts World deal it's now running the city's hottest new performance space. And it's filling up programming for when concerts are expected to resume this fall.

It’s sad that she’s opening the theatre in winter of this year when Céline should have been doing this, but obviously the world tour delays and pandemic issues is the reason behind her stepping in.

I am still amazed that Céline did that for 5 years almost every night back in A New Day. It’s very tiring and it will really change your voice so much because of performing every night.

The colosseum turns 18 today as we know... and caesars on socials have asked fans what’s the best show they have seen there and so far they have liked and responded to posts from fans who mentioned any other artist apart from Celine... wondering if they have yet to reply to these new posts or if they are annoyed/angry that she has moved on... hmmmm lol

It wasn't even her choice. The promotor of the venue switched from AEG/Concerts West to LiveNation. Kind of hard to stay in the theater you literally built when they pull the rug from underneath you and force you out.

You know I really can't see them going that High, if they want fans to come to see her or any other performance . They would have to keep it reasonable for everyone to afford it and to keep them coming back, I was think like keep prices like they had for CP and stick to AXS for tickets ,

Plus, a brand new hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars-in-cost venue as well as what is rumoured that she’ll be paid ($1,000,000 a show, which I furthermore assume is what she would’ve been looking for in order to return so quickly), that a $1,000 front row ticket is probably on the lower end of the spectrum in my opinion

I hope their startegy isn't like "A new day" style where she only performed there for several years and did to many shows a week. I hope she will still be free to tour where ever she wants (US + whole world) and that she won't have so many shows a week. Two or three a week are enough in my opinion. That way she can rest her voice enough for other projects and keep trained at the same time.
