I remember when she first rebirthed RDMH during AND and it was epic all around for that show, then she played it safe for every show since then 15 years later, same with BATB was refreshing to have back in 2011, here we are 10 years later again. Give others their moment.

The teaser video certainly has the Vegas feel to it.

I'm all for looking forward to something new but this is one time I find it hard to get behind. I feel she just finished a residency and it's too soon to be starting a new one.

Zedd is actually an A-list DJ that is going to headline Resort World's new Zouk nightclub. So it's looking like the announcement on Wednesday is going to encompass all of the entertainment that's coming to Resorts World.

Yes, but I’m sure they will include a date, and possibly a show name? Maybe TC will release some kind of Press Release to accompany the announcement.

I think if she will do this new show in LV, I think the Courage World Tour will be like the new Summer short Tour. (asian/oceania tour, european tour, etc)

It’s got a feeling of “been there done that” to me but I’m happy for everyone that is happy about a return to Vegas.

It’s a shame if this does start in 2022. Before COVID they were planning another leg of the Courage tour, which will now probably not happen with all the postponements and delays, and the fact she only has so much time before she has to be back in LV. And, once that contract starts, her hands will be tied in terms of other projects. She’ll need contract carveouts and special permissions to play elsewhere (certainly in North America, at the very least).

 

Yep. Only thing we can really hope for at this stage is a smaller amount of shows per year in comparison to Celine. At least I hope so. No more than 35 a year please!

Overall, I’m mad that this is happening to soon and so quickly. It’s not even been 2 years since the end of Celine. I know she said she’d “never truly leave”, but there was definitely the vibe and feel of a very extended break from being a Las Vegas headliner, at least for 5 years imo.

 

Due to the postponement of the CWT shows, the probable deletion of what was supposed to be an apparent South American leg, and the era being basically over since early 2020 anyway... it is disappointing

 

 

It’s also disappointing because this is going to be a greatest hits show. Sorry, but it is. A brand new theatre that’s trying to attract brand new guests just after a pandemic to fill their 5,000 seat theatre every night and needs a legendary slot to invigorate specific demographics? Yeah... that’s gonna be another Celine greatest hits show, most likely on the joint instance of both Resorts World and AEG. So please, my one message to everyone: do not go making these massive fantasy set lists and show concepts that will inevitably serve only to get your hopes up way higher than will be fulfilled, and make you feel betrayed or spout about how you felt promised something... when at this stage we don’t even know when it will start.

Honestly, I am not much excited for this jew residency. Celine needs a break. She needs to move around for sometimes, meet fans, rather than fans coming to see her why don't she she and meet fans.

I am more excited for Courage World Tour than this thing.

I remember TC posted rehearsal videos of RDMH, where at one moment the dancers lifted Celine up with mic and all

Though at that time it was her stand in but it looked cool.

 

Anyway, I'm excited something is happening.

Not about being back in Vegas.

But since they announce more headliners at once I hope celine will have some short residencies, so that there will be enough time for other stuff.

Pandy Demic got in the way of the plans I suppose - the Courage tour would have been wrapping up and then ‘SURPRISE’ we would have had the Vegas announcement. I would have liked a couple more years of no Vegas to make it feel like a proper exciting announcement.

 

I suppose we don’t know anything at this point - how many shows per year, and what the show will be like. It will no doubt be the greatest hits but let’s at least hope it’s a ‘cool’ show.

 

We knew this was coming. It was more or less confirmed even before Céline had finished. I’m ranting, because I don’t know if I like it or not...

 

Also, don’t shoot me- but the Courage Tour just feels dead. It was so stop/start- her getting sick for so long, so many dates rescheduled, the Courage album promo screwed...it’s been weird.

I highly doubt most fans will want to travel all the way to Vegas again to just see a greatest hits show when they can wait for her to do this and come to them in a mini tour like she’s done before.

 

This past year has changed people and their mindsets and once we are out of this people will want to do more and experience more.

 

I’m really hoping for a franco/cirque collab in this show.

 

This is Vegas the best place to see a show on the planet and this has been in the works for a long time and with the past year off, she and her team need to have stepped up with their ideas for this or this residency may just be blah and this time go down like the titanic.

 

24 hours to wait... will she and the other performers be at the venue tomorrow for a small press conference “socially distanced of course” ?!?

 

Either way it’s just great to finally start getting some Céline news again.

Exactly, people will think about what to do with their money as well. Even when Celine Dion is my favorite artist, no way I will pay 400 euro for one evening of greatest hits.

Well why are you so sure about a really bad greatest hits setlist? AND and "Celine" weren't really bad greatest hits shows in general. Of course there where covers like fever, I wish in AND and at seventeen and HDYKTMP in "Celine", but also great surprises of not that well known songs like nature boy, seduces me in AND and WDMHBN and the reason in "Celine". I think it will be like that again. Of course she can't leave the hits out but a few nice surprises will be there for sure. Even it's just a nice surprise like IYAMT in the courage world tour.

The hits will always be there and they are necessary to keep her career going. Many of us tend to forget that. The people come to hear those songs and I'm very pleased with the hits being in every setlist if it makes her able to give concerts for the rest of her life. Good that she hasn't 20 ultra necessary songs which she can't exclude
